Coach house in beautiful setting

We spent a week in this lovely coach house set in a large garden with nice views . Doug and Nikki were perfect hosts ,very welcoming and helpful. There are many places of interest to visit in the area and we both walked and cycled .The high light for us was watching deer walking in the lane at breakfast time.

Great break

Lovely accommodation in a great spot. Ideal for short breaks. Local pub provides good food on the doorstep. Plenty of walks nearby or a short drive away.

Lovely house and location

Lovely house and location. Beautifully furnished upstairs, light throughout, with nice views from all the windows. Comfort would have been a 5 not 4 if both beds had been a bit more comfie. The owners were very attentive when the toaster caused the lights to trip. Would not hesitate to recommend as a perfect place for a quiet retreat, or base to explore the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.

Exceeded expectations

We visited with our boys aged 8 & 10 for a long sunny weekend and wished it was for longer! We spent lots of time on both the tennis court and in the beautiful swimming pool. The location was ideal for visiting the surrounding area and we found great places to cycle and kayak nearby. The coach house had everything we needed. The shared access to the tennis court and pool was a non-issue (should that be a concern) and it was wonderful to stay somewhere with such beautiful gardens.

Super location

Loved the position on edge of Wye.valley and Forest of Dean with a great pub. Perhaps the cottage wasn’t the higher end property we thought it was from the marketing and which I think we paid for. I should have noticed there was no dishwasher but we booked fairly late in the day and rushed things. We appreciated the thoughtful instructions on reaching the property and welcome goodies and access to a pool and tennis courts must be great in summer.

A week of paradise

Wow, what a refreshing week we had - being onsite is a little taste of paradise! Beautiful gardens, unlimited use of the pool and tennis courts, and wonderful hosts in Doug and Nikki. Not only did they provide a welcome gift of fresh bread, milk, eggs and a bottle of wine, but also spoilt us with a selection of homegrown vegetables. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, with a very spacious master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and a lovely upstairs sitting and dining space overlooking the garden and fields. The only downside is the small kitchen at the foot of the stairs, but it was fine for a week. The Forest of Dean is right on your doorstep with amazing woodland walks and various attractions such as Puzzlewood and Symmonds Yat rock. We’ll definitely be going back next year!
