We have a pack-n-play for them to sleep in (or to contain them), some toys for them to play with, DVD/Blu-ray player & assorted videos, kid’s plates/cups/cutlery, a washer and dryer to clean off the "fun" they had in DC, & several other items available by request (these items are shared between multiple properties & available on a first come-first served basis).
Make breakfast in the kitchen with the fresh ingredients you bring back from Whole Foods (only 2 blocks west) or Saturday's farmer's market (5 blocks east) before touring our very walkable city. Enjoy local OTHERS coffee or tea before facing the day
We provide a guest welcome book with neighborhood recommendations, operation instructions for amenities, & loaner SmarTrip cards to use on the metro or bus during your stay.

About the host
Hosted by Jenna
The owners: Amie and David lived in the DC area for over 20 years and have recently (summer 2019) relocated to the UK for work. Their family loves to travel and experience not only the sites, but the people of the areas they visit. They are a British and American family who love meeting people from across the country and the world.
Upstairs tenants: The main floors of the house are inhabited by a young family with an infant. Please do not disturb upstairs tenants during your stay.
Your hosts: I grew up to the tune of reveille and taps living across the river from an army base in southern Virginia where my folks settled to get away from the hustle and bustle of North Jersey. I attended culinary school at Johnson and Wales University and honed my skills in local kitchens until I moved to DC in 2009. After a short stint experimenting with the west cost way of life, it was clear DC was home so home I went. In 2015, after nearly two decades experience as a chef, I left my last professional kitchen and set out to start my own business. SaltSugarFire personal chef services was born and has since flourished.
Why they chose this property
The location can't be beat. The area is growing rapidly with restaurants, bars, and stores. It's wonderful not having to use a car to get groceries, dinner, drinks, etc. The Smithsonian is an easy walk on nice days and DC's public transportation puts all the city's interesting spots at your fingertips.
What makes this property unique
Amie and David wanted to make this space something they would personally be comfortable living in: stylish, fun, and inviting. We hope you will feel the same!
