Charming Log Cabin! 20 Minutes to Downtn Nashville! Also see Property 320523

Welcome to our log cabin Horseshoe Ridge, newly built in 2017! It was lovingly created using unique elements - Timbers and lumber from a turn-of-the -century dairy barn, and lumber milled from trees where the cabin now stands! Dramatic wall of windows facing into the forest valley below, and soaring ceilings of Colorado blue spruce. Even the headboards are made of gates from the dairy barn. Horeshoe Ridge is situated on 10 wooded acres, and owner lives on property. There are three bedrooms and two full baths. Washer/Dryer included.

Our property has an outdoor security camera focused only on the parking area for safety. Guest privacy is always respected.

This cabin provided all we needed. It was charming, comfortable and clean. Perfect distance from Nashville for fun and nightlife yet enough away for a cozy mountain feel. Excellent communication with owners.

What a great place

Wonderful getaway

My wife and 2 teenage daughters visited Nashville and stayed in this cozy cabin. It was the perfect spot, not to far from Nashville and not so close to the busyness of the City.

Beautiful private cabin

Beautiful cabin, no houses close by, but next to a road. The driveway was a little harder to navigate, but not impossible. Highly recommend for a family looking for a quiet place to stay outside of Nashville!

Cozy cabin just outside Nashville

We had a wonderful long weekend at this darling cozy cabin in the woods just outside of Nashville. Enjoyed a concert at Bridgestone and a walk through Zoolumination. This location was close enough for convenience but far enough for a quiet getaway. Thank you for your hospitality. We would recommend to others.

Great girls weekend

Our stay was amazing! We had a relaxing time, about 1/2 hour outside of downtown Nashville. Very pretty location. Home was nice, perfect for us. Only negative is they charge for additional people after 2 even though it was a 3BR. This is an unusual practice from my experience on VRBO, so the price was higher than listed, and I didn’t see that in the information on the listing.

Perfect cabin except location

Beautiful cabin, but on a busy road. Takes away a lot from sitting on the porch and having coffee. Besides that, the cabin was perfect!

Amazing Privacy

We had a wonderful time at this cabin and honestly can't wait to go back. This was such a nice get away especially since we have had to shelter in place for the last 8 weeks. The beds are extremely comfortable and every little detail was perfect. Thank you for offering this cabin as a rental.

Great alternative to crazy downtown

This is an adorable cabin located about 20 minutes outside of downtown Nashville. It’s decorated beautifully and well-appointed. It’s about 5-10 minutes right off I-40. The owners are very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend.

Nice unit with plenty to do in the area, lots of shopping, including super market in less than a mile away, nice dog park and recreation park in area and lovely bay view from back deck

Cabin get away.

We enjoyed our stay. Some things for consideration …Cabin was listed for 6, but outdoor seating on both porches only provided 3 chairs and not enough silverware and bowls for 6. It should be noted in description of property that the driveway is steep and gravel and not suitable for handicap and motorcycles.

A great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were visiting Nashville for the first time. It's convenient to the city but also allowed us to relax away from the hustle and bustle. We brought our dogs who were very comfortable and loved sniffing all around the property. Nothing really fancy but we had everything we needed. Overall would recommend!

Peaceful Retreat

We were in Nashville area for a family reunion and am so glad we chose this property for us to stay in! It was just what we needed to start the day (coffee on the porch) and end the day ( sitting on the porch)😊 We visited family off site in Nashville and Nolensville. Downtown Nashville is a must and Cheekwood Botanical Gardens was a fun trip as well. We also spent time preparing food to take with us which was nice to be able to do. This cabin is beautiful! It is clean, comfortable and I loved the view into the surrounding woods! Check in and checkout is seamless! Communication with owners is easy!

Peaceful Paradise

It was the perfect getaway. If you want a private, peaceful place to remove yourself from all the hustle and bustle, then this place is for you. It rained the first night we were there and the covered patio and rocking chairs made it the perfect place to just sit and listen to the thunder and the rain. It was so nice. It was a great way to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The owners were great to work with. They were so accommodating and willing to work with us when we had a flat tire 4 hours away and were unable to meet the checkout time. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and Romantic

This cabin was shockingly beautiful. I'm 6 months pregnant at the time of our trip and I was so comfortable. The woods around the cabin were lovely even with the trees bare. Every time a little bird landed on the porch I looked it up. So serene. I've given all 5 stars except but there's one inconvenience which I think should be noted.... the kitchen has the absolute bare minimum for cooking. Now being a chef I was able to make do but any other cook would seriously struggle. I was always buy my own spices and groceries never expect to use any of the hosts or previous guests but I do expect some decent cooking utensils. If you plan to cook bring some utensils. There was also no dish liquid or sponge to hand wash some of the dishes and utensils that still had food on them. Other than that absolutely fabulous. I would 100% stay here again and while it was just my husband and I, our 2 teen girls and toddler son would be comfortable and even comfy to bring the new baby. Lovely.

We built this cozy, custom log cabin for vacationers who want to enjoy the beautiful Gatlinburg-like surroundings 20 minutes to downtown Nashville. We have always enjoyed nature and wildlife but also wanted to be close to the modern conveniences that a city like Nashville has to offer, as well as the charm of a rural backdrop.

Why they chose this property

Beautiful log home, decorated in an equestrian theme. In a wooded area perfect for a Tennessee feel and relaxing environment. We fell in love with the area and bought the land in 2015. The location is beautiful yet very convenient to many of the Nashville amenities. In fact, it is a 20 minute highway drive to downtown Nashville and all it has to offer. About 10 minutes from Bellevue, Westmeade, Bellemeade and Natchez Trace

What makes this property unique

Some of the lumber used was from a turn-of-the century dairy barn, including a timber that holds the stairway landing. And the barn doors we crafted were milled from the trees where the cabin now stands. These include Mockernut Hickory, Green Ash, and White Oak.
