Hello and welcome! We're a family originally from the Highlands, and we feel incredibly lucky to call this stunning part of Scotland home. We’ve always loved the natural beauty, history, and peaceful pace of life here, and we’re excited to share a little piece of that with our guests.
When we’re not hosting, we enjoy exploring the local trails, paddleboarding on Loch Ness, and discovering tucked-away coffee shops and castle ruins. We designed our Highland retreat to be the kind of place we’d love to stay in ourselves—comfortable, stylish, and a perfect base for adventure or relaxation.
As hosts, we genuinely enjoy helping guests have memorable stays. Whether you're visiting for a romantic weekend, a family holiday, or a once-in-a-lifetime tour of Scotland, we're happy to share local tips, hidden gems, and favourite places to eat, walk, or unwind. We want you to feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope you fall in love with the Highlands just as we have!

Why they chose this property
Croy is a peaceful village surrounded by nature, offering that rare combination of total tranquillity and easy access to everything the Highlands has to offer. One of the things we love most is how quiet and calming it is—you can hear the wind in the trees. It’s a place where you can truly slow down and unwind.
We especially enjoy the scenic walks right from the doorstep—whether it’s a morning stroll through quiet woodland paths or an evening walk up the hill to catch a breathtaking sunset. On weekends, we often head to nearby Nairn Beach for a walk along the sand, or to a local café for brunch with a view.
Being so close to Inverness, Culloden, and Loch Ness means there’s always something to do: visit ancient ruins, go monster-hunting by boat, hike through heather-covered hills, or sip whisky at a nearby distillery. And at the end of the day, nothing beats coming home, putting your feet up, and watching the sky turn pink over the Highlands.
It’s a magical place—beautiful in every season—and we love being able to share it with guests from all over the world.

What makes this property unique
There are plenty of lovely places to stay in the Highlands—but what sets our retreat apart is the perfect balance of style, comfort, and location.
We’ve carefully designed this home to feel both luxurious and welcoming. From the three plush king-sized beds with hotel-quality mattresses to the fully equipped kitchen and cosy living area, every detail has been chosen to help guests relax and feel truly at home. You’ll find thoughtful touches throughout—from the Nespresso machine and Smart TV to fast Wi-Fi and fluffy towels—so you can enjoy all the comforts you need without sacrificing charm or atmosphere.
The house itself is spacious and sun-filled, with a private garden where you can sip coffee in the morning or enjoy a peaceful glass of wine in the evening. Unlike many rural properties, we’re not far off the beaten path: our quiet village setting offers tranquillity, yet we’re just 15 minutes from Inverness and close to iconic sites like Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness, and beautiful beaches.
What really makes it special, though, is the feeling you get when you walk through the door—peaceful, calm, and a little bit like coming home.
Whether you’re here to explore the Highlands, trace family roots, or simply relax in beautiful surroundings, this home offers a unique blend of location, comfort, and Highland charm that keeps guests coming back.
