Beautiful 3-story, 3-bedroom country house, which can accommodate up to 8 persons to sleep, is located on an intimate and lush 1 acre land at proximity of Lake Memphremagog.

Fully equiped kitchen with refrigerator, large gaz stove, dish-washer, microwave, coffee machine etc. Two full-baths with showers, laundry room, linen and towels. Exterior dining set and propane BBQ. All you need to do is bring your food and relax on the wraparound terraces, on a long chair near the pond or in front of the fireplace.

Wifi high-speed internet, fibre TV, DVD player, bluetooth sound system, various board games and DVD's available. Exterior Ping pong table (summer and fall only).

Within a 5 min walk, you have free access to the private beach of St-Benoit Yacht Club, on the Sargent Bay of Lake Memphremagog.

Several ski resorts nearby: 10 min from Owl's Head, 30 min from Orford, 45 min from Sutton, Bromont and Jay Peak.

At 25 min from Magog, 20 min from Eastman or Knowlton, and 15 minutes from Mansonville, there are many options for shopping, eating out and entertainment.

Really lovely property — the house is beautiful and comfortable, the porch is a fantastic space to lounge around, and the yard, pond and trees add the relaxing, restorative atmosphere. Amazing Getaway from Montreal

Extremely clean, cozy, well-equipped, perfect location. 10 mins from Owl's Head ski mountain, a short drive into Potton for superb coffee and hot chocolate or to Orford and Magog for hiking. Beautiful scenic drive in every direction. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay at wonderful home.

My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and well equipped. The kids loved the ping pong, the air hockey and board games. I loved having coffee on the huge covered porch and my husband really enjoyed cooking on the stove and BBQ. Plenty of sleeping space and comfy beds. I would recommend this home for anyone looking for a very comfortable place to stay in a beautiful area.

This chalet is truly wonderful. The layout of the house is particularly special with surround windows/doors and a wrap around deck. We had bbqs, morning coffee, evening stargazing etc, all on the deck where movement in and out of the house was seamless. The surrounding forest and view of the trees is also very relaxing. Bird watching was fantastic and wild life like dear would stumble into the yard which was also fun for the kids. The house was very well equipped and everything was well thought through and very comfortable. I highly recommend it and would definitely return to this beautiful place.

Beautiful property in the Austin area. Extremely well equipped with higher end amenities. Very clean and comfortable. An excellent location for cycling in the Eastern Townships. France was very responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this property.

Overall very nice place to stay

The cottage is very cosy and nicer in person then in photos. It was very clean and well appointed with lots of books, games, cooking utensils, towels, blankets etc. it has a charming stream in the back and has a nice rustic feel. Our only disappointments were that the x box wasn’t working and that the Teflon pans were all scratched up. But otherwise it was a great stay and the owner communicated very well and was easy to get a hold of. We would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is exactly as pictured. It was really comfortable for our group of 4, but could easily have accommodated more. The wraparound deck is great and would be perfect in the summer. The fireplace was perfect and propane grill on the covered porch was easy to use in the winter. We didn't ski as planned because of weather and snow conditions, but still found things to do in the area. The owners are very responsive. I hope to stay here again.

Charming country house with excellent amenities

We stayed here over New Years with my family. It was very bright and spacious - (we were only 4) but there would be space for more! I really appreciated how the house was set up for cooking - everything was so well designed and nicely organized, with quality tools - it made cooking a pleasure. It was very clean and quiet. The house was prepared with many extras such as games, books, puzzles. Thanks for a lovely time.

After Xmas stay

Beautiful home and property, all exactly as advertised. Excellent communication with owner, and we wanted for nothing. Very well equipped kitchen, tons of utensils, plates and glasses. You could see that the owners did not "cheap out " on the construction, furnishings or supplies as many other short term rental owners do. Great water pressure and lots of hot water as we were six adults and one child. Would not hesitate to come back!

So Glad We went!

We spent a week in the area and had a great time. This house was perfect for us. Beautiful house on a wonderful property. We were four adults and had plenty of space. It was clean and well stocked. We appreciate the attention to every detail that was taken to make our stay a delight. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. I highly recommend it! The Eastern Townships is a beautiful area with lots of nice towns and villages to visit. This is a beautiful "pied a terre" from which to visit.

Unfortunately, in 5 years of rentals (over 100 individual rentals to groups of 2 to 8 people), we have never experienced the house being left in such a poor condition. The house smelled of cigarette ashes when there is a clear no smoking rule, there was candy and gum stuck on the floors and sticky fingers all over the door knobs and windows. Dirty diapers left in the garbage cans. An unrealistic number of towels were used and the guests never bothered to do one load of laundry during their 2 weeks stay, even when the detergent is provided. We have tried to communicate with them more than 5 times while they were staying at our property, but they would not respond. We do not recommend this guest to other property owners as they just do not seem to follow normal housekeeping rules.

Outstanding Comfort and Amenities!

We had a delightful stay! This country house will not disappoint: it’s clean, spacious, comfortable and very well-equipped (kitchenware, towels, stereo speakers, TVs, Bluetooth/WiFi). The open-concept living room/kitchen/dining room allows guests to relax and communicate easily. The kitchen was a delight to use. The bathrooms were great. The beds were very comfortable. In short, this place has it all for a relaxing vacation. The owner, France, was quick to respond to any questions/concerns and was very accommodating. Looking forward to a return visit! Solar Eclipse 2024

This is a wonderful spot and a very well appointed home. It currently stands as my best VRBO experience when you figure in the professional (yet friendly and warm) manner that France takes in preparing you for the stay. We saw the eclipse of 2024 and chose this place since it was almost in the center of totality. We enjoyed the tranquility of our own rented space instead of somewhere with a boatload of people. The surrounding area would make a great Summer or Winter stay. There are multiple challenging ski areas, a great town (Magog) with a lot of good looking restaurants and a beautiful, large lake (Memphremagog). There's a reason why this VRBO home has nothing but full star reviews... I highly recommend it to anyone whose looking.

Superb ou Superbe!! ; )

We absolutely loved out stay at "Au Charme Champêtre". The owners were always available by email and were speedy with responses, a real plus in our minds. We were a family of four, two boys (9 & 11) and us, les parents. We headed up for a week of skiing over February break and despite the warm weather and rain we were never bored. The house is replete with things to do for the boys (air hockey and xbox 360) as well as two tv's, games and books to read by one of the two fireplaces! There's also a nice sledding hill outside with toboggans available for use. And, of course, we skied whenever we could. Owl's Head is about 10 mins away and Orford about 20-25. We wanted to cross back into VT to ski at Jay Peak (40mins) but never made it. The home is very welcoming and comfortable and the pictures you see online are 100% accurate. Book it and you won't be sorry! Enjoy....
