We absolutely loved our stay at the Hideaway! The views are breathtaking—photos really don’t do them justice. St Teath is a wonderful village with a great pub and cafe, only 100 metres away. The location is perfect for exploring North Cornwall, yet peaceful enough to feel like a real retreat. The enclosed garden was ideal for both us and our dog, giving us space to relax outdoors. The property itself is incredibly tasteful, with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. Emma and Dave were fantastic hosts—so helpful and full of great recommendations. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Why they chose this property

St Teath, a charming village in North Cornwall, is a hidden gem that offers a rich blend of history, community spirit, and natural beauty. Nestled just a few miles from the rugged North Cornwall coast, it provides easy access to some of the region's most stunning landscapes, including nearby Port Isaac and the dramatic cliffs of Tintagel. The village itself is steeped in history, with its origins dating back to the 6th century and a beautiful 15th-century church at its heart. This sense of heritage is evident in the stone cottages, narrow lanes, and longstanding traditions that give St Teath its unique character.

What makes St Teath truly special is its welcoming and close-knit community. With a strong village identity, local events such as the St Teath Carnival and community fairs bring people together year-round. There’s also a well-loved pub, The White Hart, offering a cosy atmosphere and locally sourced food. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the surrounding countryside is perfect for walking, cycling, and exploring.

Despite its peaceful setting, St Teath is well-connected, offering the tranquillity of rural Cornwall while still being close to larger towns like Wadebridge and Camelford. Whether you're visiting or considering making it home, St Teath offers the perfect balance of scenic beauty, historical charm, and vibrant village life—making it a truly great place to be.
