Thanks for reviewing. Sorry you were not used to a set top box for the TV, it can be difficult if you do have the same at home but we like to provide our guests with access to catch up TV and premium services. On checking bedroom tv it was in fact switched off at the plug. Wendy
The host was excellent and answered any questions I had immediately. The property was exactly as described and was clean and extremely well resourced.Parking on site was available.A 30 min walk approx to the jetty and ferry. A few shops - bakery, fish and chips and a small supermarket. Also pub close by.Would recommend to anyone.

Thanks Karen glad you enjoyed it, Bryher is well placed for amenities, beaches, walks and for exploring Cornwall. Hope you can return, Wendy
The accommodation is well equipped with good facilities although the sofas were uncomfortable to sit on for long periods. Great location to explore and would recommend taking the ferry from Rock beach to Padstow. We also recommend the Deli in the village.

Bryher was very well equipped and perfectly presented. We had very good communication with the owner before we arrived and had a very comfortable stay. We would happily stay again if we need to be in the same area in the future.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. All information was clear and accurate .
The setting was just a short walk away for the beach and lovely eating places. Best to book most in advance.
Also a wonderful butcher and bakery were very close .
We will definitely visit again.

Thank you Helena great to hear you enjoyed Bryher and Rock. There are some amazing coastal walks nearby, ferry to Padstow and many good cafes and restaurants. Hope you can return. Wendy
Really well maintained property in easy to reach location.
Well-equipped and nicely furnished.
Good communication from the host.
For us would have been better closer to Polzeath for more cafes and things to walk out and do rather than having to drive.
Overall very happy to have stayed here. Thank you

Thank you Dot, much appreciated comments. Bryher is a short drive from Rock and Polzeath and the ferry to Padstow, and you can also walk to Polzeath mainly off road across the golf course and leave the car at home. We do hope you will return when you can. Wendy

We had an enjoyable stay. Location is great with driving access to many areas. Everything works well. Bed is semi comfortable compared to most but ok. Self contained and spacious. An allocated Car park is available but has its resident birds that roost in the tree above the car. Views from the windows facing west are very nice.
The apartment was clean and very well equipped. It is very spacious and comfortable with fantastic views from the back windows, looking out across the hills. We had some amazing sunsets!
Bryher is in a very quiet location with easy parking under the cedar trees but watch out for the bird droppings!
Shops are nearby and we would recommend The Bakery.

Thank you Jennifer, so pleased you enjoyed it. Bryher is well placed for walks, beaches and the famous bakery! Do come again, Wendy
Lovely apartment at the top of this old house.Very clean with everything we needed.A double bed with firm mattress. The walk down to Rock itself is about half an hour and slightly downhill, not ideal unless you are fit.The road can be noisy and if you have dogs and children must be watched carefully for their safety. The neighbours are lovely.Overall a lovely place to stay.

Thanks Heather glad you had a good stay. We have a couple of routes that go off road to get to Rock and Polzeath for next time. There is a good bus service too. Amazing walks nearby and beaches galore. Wendy
We stayed four nights in January 2023. The flat has good electric heating although the floors ( mostly uncarpeted) are cold underfoot! We liked the spacious bedroom and living area. The kitchen area worked well despite being small. Worst thing was that the designated car parking space is under a big tree so the car got covered in bird droppings

Thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed it. We will invest in bedroom rugs but in summer it a wonderfully cool place. The local birds are free spirits like a lot of Cornwall! Please come again, Wendy
This was ideal for my husband and me for a short break. Spacious and well equipped, the apartment suited us perfectly. Comfortable bed, plenty of seating, dedicated bathroom ~ everything was stylish and easy. No issues with the shower or tv as other reviews have mentioned ~ instructions are detailed and clear.
It was slightly further out of Rock than we expected. ~ in fact local friends told us we were in Splott (sp?). We did take the car down most days and parked in the main car park. However, the one day we walked, it took us about 25 mins so not impossible and it wasn’t a steep incline coming back.
We will definitely return and would be happy to stay here again.

Hi Susan, thank you so much, you obviously enjoyed Bryher and the area. If you pick up the path to Porthilly most of the walk is off road to the beaches and there is a lovely walk across the golf course (The Point) to Polzeath, all off road. We hope you can stay again, Wendy.

A cosy 'home from home'
What an incredible place! Hollyhock was a home from home for us; everything we could have needed was in the house and our kids and dogs loved it, particularly the secure private garden at the back of the house.
Wendy is an incredible host and helped us way and beyond our expectations and Jayne kept the place spotless. The rooms are cosy and comfortable with everything we could have anticipated - the kids loved the DVD library collections! The village has everything you may need from the great pub 2 minutes away, to the bakers with the incredibly friendly staff! Our highlight has to be our daily trips down to the incredible beach at low tide; we spend hours searching rock pools and running along the vast sands. As we have just moved to Cornwall from Greece, we will remember this house as our 'first' home and have many happy memories to take with us! Thank you Wendy and Jayne!!

Thank you Jo for your lovely review, but just to clarify, Hollyhocks is our neighbouring property which you also stayed in as well as Bryher. All the other good things you have said about the area and our service still apply! We are glad to have helped and enabled you to make some lovely memories.
Best of luck
Wendy
We really enjoyed our stay, in particular the location and the well equipped spacious flat. We stayed during a heatwave and brought our own fan, otherwise the place may have been a bit hot as it’s located at the top of a 3 floored building. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the bakery and pub being a short walk down the road were ideal. Thank you Wendy for a great stay.
