About this property

2 Bed in Hay-on-Wye (oc-m33387)

Set off on a family adventure at this charming riverside canvas lodge, where nature, comfort, and fun come together for the perfect escape. Just a short stroll across the River Wye takes you into the heart of Hay-on-Wye – the world-famous ‘town of books.’ Little ones will love exploring the quirky bookshops and discovering hidden gems, while grown-ups can savour coffee and cake in one of the many cafes. Round off the day with a hearty meal in one of the town’s welcoming pubs or restaurants. For those craving the outdoors, the Brecon Beacons National Park is right on your doorstep. Try canoeing or paddleboarding on the River Wye, saddle up for horse riding through rolling countryside, or set off together on one of the many scenic cycling and hiking trails.

The glamping site is environmentally friendly, entirely off-grid, and makes use of solar energy to minimise its impact on the environment. After a day of adventure, retreat to your safari tent, where the open plan living and kitchen area welcomes you with its light and airy character. Canvas walls, wide windows, and a crackling wood burner make the space feel both cosy and wonderfully connected to nature. Unwind on the plush sofa as the sounds of the river and birdsong drift in through the windows. When it’s time to recharge, the plush bespoke king-size bed promises a restful night’s sleep, while the second bedroom with a double bed and single bunk above is ideal for children or extra guests. A wooden-clad shower room completes the interior.

Step outside to the covered, enclosed balcony where you can dine alfresco, sip a glass of wine as the sun sets, or simply savour a slow morning coffee with serene river and meadow views. Bask in the warmth of the fire pit or discover your own secure woodland area. With private parking for one car and a handy luggage cart to make arrivals effortless, this riverside hideaway is an excellent base for your next family holiday.
