We had such a amazing experience! It is a very beautiful villa, a dreamlike garden, a relaxing quiet environement. It was a pleasure for us to stay with such a cultivated and very friendly owner. Thank you for everything!

Thank you for your kind review, and for being such lovely guests.
It was a great pleasure for me to meet you and your family.

Thank you for enjoying the very private park and pool and garden!
I am sorry you were bothered by mosquitoes.
As I always point out, the best way to solve the problem is to use a fan - and there are fans provided! Air conditionng is the worst way to solve the problem because you are aggravating a bigger one: the climate. With fans the mosquitoes fly away.
The children's bedroom is about 12m2, with 2 90cm beds (one is 2mlong, the other is 1m90), 2 chairs, a wardrobe, a generous chest of drawers, big cushions for the floor, toys....I don't think it is miniscule.
We don't advertise airconditioning and I like to think that this attracts people who are environmentally conscious. I know you are, so I am surprised that you would like airconditioning.
Mosquito screens don't allow cross currents of air - which we have and mosquito screens make a room very hot.
The interior is exactly what you see in the photographs. I don't use a wide-angle lens.
Please try fans next time in the south!
Best wishes.

Everything about our holiday here surpassed all our expectations. The flat is delightful and the garden with its wonderful pool a complete joy. Alexia our lovely landlady could not have been kinder or more helpful. The location was great for proximity to the sea, for pottering round Hyères and the surrounding mountain towns and villages. We recommend this highly.

At last: my idea of luxury!
Singing cicadas, a small pine forest, lazing in the sun next to a huge pool - all to ourselves - oh dear! time to drag ourselves away to another idyllic spot in the garden for a glass of champagne - total privacy - ths is my idea of pure luxury.
The house itself is gorgeous, fully equipped down to the latest designer fans (which we didn’t use - the stone walls kept the interior just right). We stayed 7 idyllic days in August and couldn’t believe the difference in tempo between here and just down the hill, at the beaches. These are as beautiful as you could hope for, with miles and miles of white sand, but unless you want to be surrounded by all of the cote d’azur it’s best to avoid them after midday and before 4pm. We slipped into a geared-down routine of late breakfast on our upper terrace - flowering oleander, lavander and hibiscus, with a view of the sea - then an hour or so on the beach where the kids snorkelled and chased fish - then a quiet time by the pool, lunch on the lower terrace (you can chase the sun or the shade, as you prefer - there are 4 different dining areas, just for the four of us), reading or playing boules on the boules court (of course!) next to the pool.....when we had rested enough we played tennis before a last swim, then shower and dinner. The local restaurants were good, especially kind to children, lots of fresh fish. We used the BBQ here for grilled meats and fish. Excellent shopping everywhere - supermarkets open until 9pm, markets full of stunning local produce - a Luna Park which had the kids enthralled - we even caught the ferry to two of the islands - very beautiful but also crowded in high summer.
Unanimous vote: the best holiday yet and we’ll be back next year!
