Private Entrance and Bath, 1 BR, Central N Valley. Wifi, Good Neighborhood
This is a 1 bedroom with well-lit outdoor private entrance and long off-street driveway, in a quiet, mature neighborhood. The spacious, private bathroom has double sinks and double shower heads. Sleep comfortably on a firm, double bed. The unit only has these 2 rooms. It is perfect for one or two people on business travel, or a quiet getaway. It has refrigerated air for those hot NM days, and electric and gas combo heat for the winter time. There is a nice 6ft table for one to do computer work, read, or just spread out. Amenities include a microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, set of dishes, and some coffee, tea, sweetners are provided. It is walking distance to groceries, restaurants, public library, public pool. It is bike riding distance to the Bosque where there are great bike paths and a nice way to visit Bike-In_Coffee, where there is usually live music. It is not far from the Balloon Fiesta grounds, and 2 miles North of I-40. The Valley of Albuquerque is culturally distinct from the Heights of Albuquerque, protecting the more rural feel and places for people to grow gardens and animals. There is skiing in the nearby mountains of Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Toas. Many people enjoy rafting or kayaking the waters of New Mexico, also. And there is plenty of hiking and lots of Indian Pueblos, and cultural places to visit. And of course, we host the Balloon Fiesta each October.
In my backyard, I grow an organic garden; that includes the food, the weeds, the bugs, the birds... the whole bit! :) Hopefully you can enjoy a work in progress!
In the rare case that you might be a dancer, let me know, and I can tell you about all the different genres in Albuquerque.

Its was such a wonderful experience. We saw the Luminaria tour and the River of Lights. Such a clean place and no noise or disturbances. Our host was absolutely amazing. Thank you for everything.
Nice mature walkable neighborhood. Good coffee and light breakfast options within a leisurely stroll. Skylights provide lots of natural light in unit. No tv, but that was an actual plus for me. Huge double sink bathroom with very nice walk in shower. Perfect for single traveler like myself or couple.
It is an excellent place near restaurants and activities that made my time enjoyable. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. I will stay again, given an opportunity!
The property was very clean and so many necessities were provided. The owner was a sweet and genuine person and very likable. The neighbors were friendly and came out and greet me and invited me over. I look forward to my next stay here and will suggest it to friends.
Easy in and out access, though sometimes the lock gave some trouble. The living area is small but comfortable. No stove top for cooking but has microwave. Bathroom area is fantastic, very spacious. Owner has lovely garden in back which I would have loved to tour but really had no time. Owner very responsive. I would stay again.
This was a nice unit. The bed was very comfortable but best for 1 person. Exceptionally nice bathroom. It had everything that I needed and was extremely clean. Information about Albuquerque was included.
The only reason I gave 4 stars for the neighborhood is that there are no street lights on this street. Luckily, Sheri and her neighbor have a light that shines on the driveway and entrance to the unit.
Sheri is an excellent host and communication was great.
The property was private and had a separate entrance The bedroom was small but had a nice table/desk with room for two laptops The bed was only a double bed and was jammed up against the back and side wall, making access in and out difficult. The mattress was hard, sagged a little in the middle, and the sheets were coarse.Lighting was an issue—other than the overhead light on the ceiling fan and four sconces, which all seemed to have 40W bulbs, there were no lamps. There is no TV, but we were able to stream through computerThe bathroom was outstanding, with two sinks and enough electric outlets for dryers, shavers,
This property is a clean and efficient place if you need a place to sleep and/or work at a desk. It was convienently located for where we needed to go. The property owner took the time to come to introduce herself which is nice. I did not find it a good place if you want to relax at. The chairs are wood and good for dining in, but not relaxing to read a book or similar activity. The bed slid away from the wall if you leaned against the wall. This property is just two rooms-bed area and bathroom-and each had a door in it that appear to be access from the main house. We found that a little creepy. There is an air conditioner in one side of the window that worked well. But the blinds could not be closed over it-leaving a clear view in from the backyard. We put a shirt over it for privacy. I was also required to obtain the property damage insurance, which only became clear at checkout. An additional 89 you will have to add to your bill.
The owner was most cordial and friendly. The bathroom was the best part. Spacious, with two sinks, and plenty of hot water. However, the singular bed room was dark. The only window was blocked halfway by the air conditioning unit, and so there was a limited view and limited sunlight. The bed took up most of the space in the room. Although a coffee maker was set up in the bathroom I did not use it because I felt compelled to have my coffee somewhere where I could enjoy my surroundings. I was there for one week. If it had only been one or two nights, it would have been all right. However, seven days was too long in such a dark and small space.
Great communication with owner. Location was good. VRBO was clean. There's no TV but I was in town for a reunion and wasn't actually in the VRBO very much and when I was, I just streamed hulu on my ipad - the wifi was great.
No tv, so take an iPad unless you are looking to just have a quiet place to enjoy the peace after a long day of sight seeing.
Very clean and very comfortable space to stay in. Highly recommend.
My only problem with this place was the refrigerator was trashed and everything seemed to be old and accumulated. Coffee was kind of bogus. She needs to make it less of a chore, or provide adequate instructions. Crappy breakfast stuff no idea how long they were there. Toilet paper needed to be on hand. Did not like asking about coffee and toilet paper. A great price for the place just minor fixes needed.

About the host
Hosted by Sheri
New Mexico has been my home since the late 80's. I appreciate the diversity here and the wide range of customs brought by the many different cultures. I immerse myself in the music, dance and art of many of the different cultures that are present here. I enjoy biking, gardening, some hiking and composing music.
Why they chose this property
Located centrally in Albuquerque, it is not hard to get to any part of the city from here. This particular area is quite charming, with every house and property having its own unique voice. Bike ride to the Rio Grande Nature Center, Bike in Coffee and trails. Close to Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, the N Valley Library. Can see balloons in the air from here. Takes about the same time to get to downtown as Corrales or south Rio Rancho or mid-town malls. Airport is between 15 and 20 min, depending on traffic.
If you are a musician, you are welcome to practice in your room as long as it is not amplified.
What makes this property unique
This is a quiet neighborhood. The private room and bath is priced very modestly and with one's own driveway and outside entrance, there is plenty of privacy and freedom to keep ones own schedule.
