Located in Tumacacori, this apartment is in a rural area. Out of the Way Galleria and Rogoway Turquoise Tortoise Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Santa Cruz Chili & Spice and Avalon Organic Farms ans Eco Village. Tubac Center of the Arts and Jane's Attic are also worth visiting.
The location is what drew us. If you like bird watching and hiking this is a great spot with a trail right behind the property. The casita was very clean and nicely decorated. The host was so nice. Only negative was that I couldn’t find the laundry facility. The lady I asked couldn’t speak English. I found a room near the pool with one pay for washer and the dryer was handed under items. Not a big deal as I was only there a few days.
The property was quiet and the 2 bedroom cottage had plenty of room for the 2 of us & our 14 year old. We loved sitting on the patio in the evening. We made friends with the owners 2 labradoodles... they were great hosts! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars across the board... there was quit a bit of pet hair on the furniture & we had to spray for spiders. Understandable, there will be pests, this is a farmhouse, but there were lots of webs/spiders. 😬
The property is a working farm and wood shop. The casita was great and the totally met our needs. The location is very quiet and near a historic trail. Our only issue was the check-in. We were not given much advance info as to the location of our casita (there are several). When we arrived, we were greeted by a hispanic man from the wood shop who didn't speak English. It took several minutes to figure out which casita was ours. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the near future.

fantastic stay
Christine is a friendly welcoming host and we appreciated her special touches like the fresh ground coffee. Located on a peaceful beautiful ranch property, the 2 bedroom casita was clean, cozy and had comfortable beds. We enjoyed walking out our door to hike the DeAnza Trail and being close to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Wisdoms. . We are already planning to come back.
