All original woodwork, stained glass, hardwood floors, 9 bedrooms, 6 baths, 3 kitchens, 6 fireplaces on 4 levels, with chef inspired kitchen on main level - Miele Coffeemaker, Sub-Zero wine cabinet, Sub-Zero Fridge, fireplace, library w/ XL (120") projection TV & comfortable furniture, spacious living room, formal dining, central a/c, eat-in kitchen, the veranda has w/comfy seating area & bbq. Backyard has heated pool and hot tub along with an outside kitchen bbq. For guests who need a little extra assistance, we do have two chair lifts that go to the main level into the garden level where there are two bedrooms, one with a walk-in shower. There are no steps into the house from the side entrance..

15 minutes to Mall of America, US Bank Stadium. Perfect location to walk to Grand Avenue that has upscale shops, restaurants, bars -- check out all St. Paul has to offer with Minneapolis minutes away.

This was our second time staying at Brenda's property. It's a wonderful home with an amazing backyard that is perfect for a summertime gathering with friends and family. We will definitely come back if we get a chance!

We had a great time staying here. The house is huge - we needed 7 bedrooms - and there was plenty of room. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We also appreciated that there were large folding tables with chairs so we could all be together for meals. We also found it very conveniently located for walking to restaurants. Our host was super easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.

A great house!,

This was one of the best VRBO houses our family has stayed in. There was so much room for everyone…three floors of bedrooms, a kitchen on each floor, lots of sitting areas throughout the house…it was a wonderful experience for our three kids, their spouses and their kids, ages 16-27. Brenda was a pleasure to work with, and has done a great job making a big house cozy and inviting !!

Olynick Family Holiday

Our family attended 2 Twins games, Mall of America , toured the Vikings Stadium, Golfed and stayed at this amazing property. They had everything their that you wanted, swimming pool, hot tub, beautiful house with comfortable beds for all 17 of us! I can’t say enough about our super host Brenda, so much help!! Thanks for making our holiday perfect

Beautiful Home

This Summit Hill home is exactly as described. Our group of 10 stayed for a few days while attending a conference in Minneapolis. It was wonderful to return to the home after our conference each day to swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub and chat around the fire. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated. We will be returning!

Gorgeous Home and Great Host

I stayed at Brenda's home with the group of 12 for my bachelorette party during the summer and it was the perfect home and we had an amazing time. The neighborhood is gorgeous, and as soon as you pull up to the house, you can tell it will be special. The photos don't do the house justice--it is SO gorgeous in person. It had (more than) everything we needed, which allowed us to relax. There is so much space to spread out and relax, and plenty or large sitting areas for when we were all hanging out together. Brenda was extremely nice and helpful. We didn't have any issues we needed to talk to her about, but I know if we had, she was available by phone call or text. I can't recommend this home enough.

Family Reunion

Brenda is an amazing host and provided every convenience for us to experience a luxurious get away. This mansion was the perfect place for our family reunion. We rented the entire house for 14 adults and 3 toddlers which was more than enough space for gathering as well as allowing private time for families. The chef's kitchen was a dream for us to use and was very well stocked for whatever we wished to make. The appliances are premium from the Miele coffee maker, which all of us enjoyed every morning to the ovens, stovetop and the cooling drawers. The outdoor spaces are attractively designed with comfort in mind allowing us to enjoy time with family from relaxing on the front porch to gathering in the backyard pool and hot tub area. We really appreciated the architectural elements and history of this beautifully decorated mansion with its gorgeous woodwork, staircase, decorative windows and built in cabinets giving it an a lavish elegance. Brenda is a wonderful host and is easy to communicate with and is very willing to make sure we had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. Thank you so much Brenda for opening up your home to us!

The house we rented was absolutely perfect and actually better than we expected.

Our whole family was in love with this rental! There were 18 of us with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and living rooms for gathering. Additionally, the backyard including all the sitting areas, bbq, firepit, and beautiful pool were the hit of the week. We also appreciated the automated cover on the pool to keep the little ones safe! One last item, being so close to the downtown with lots of restaurants and shops was a real surprise. We loved this rental and the ease of contacting the owner was so appreciated. Thank you!!!

Incredible Stay!

This is a fabulous property! Best VRBO experience ever. This amazing historic house is spacious with thoughtful modern conveniences that are so well thought out. Brenda is helpful and warm and has thought of everything. We celebrated my parents 60th anniversary and LOVED having space for a few families to stay and then beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to gather. Would highly recommend this home!

Amazing house and perfect for your group

We had a wedding celebration at a venue not far away and this was our home with our friends and family for the weekend. It was perfect to spend time with everyone and also decompress in the wonderful backyard. Thank you again and we hope to come back sometime!

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful and spacious property. We had multiple generations staying and everyone had a positive experience. We had beautiful weather and were able to enjoy the pool and many outdoor amenities. Brenda was so kind and easy to work with. She really has the entire home stocked with anything that you would ever need. It truly was a wonderful experience.

Family Graduation Celebration

Our son was graduating from UST and this house allowed many of our extended family to stay together. It was in a perfect location to visit campus, shop, eat and explore. The backyard was perfect for entertaining with a firepit, hot tub, heated pool and grill. We were able to make some great memories.

Amazing House

Our large group of 15 met for a family reunion and were very pleased with the house. The photos do not do the house justice—-it’s even better. The house was spacious with great features. The pool, hot tub and BBQ area outside were incredible and we were happy that the pool had a cover to keep our little ones safe. Brenda was a very responsive host. We will definitely plan to stay again in the future!

Spectacular property on Summit Ave.

This early 1900s Summit Ave mansion is a perfect place to bring a large group to. There are three separate kitchen/living areas and well-appointed bedrooms for a big group. Many of the original details have been preserved, but all of the appliances are high-end and modern. The yard, deck, and pool area are spectacular - we spent most of 3 days just lounging in the pool. Our stay was everything we hoped it would be, and Brenda was extremely responsive, helpful, and knowledgable as a host. We would not hestitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. Thanks!

Perfect getaway!

This amazing house was exactly what we needed! After our COVID spring/summer, we were looking for an escape for our two boys with a pool. They had so much fun in the pool as well as running in the backyard; they also loved discovering all the cool nooks & crannies in the house. Neighborhood was very unique with grand houses. Kitchen was better equipped than any other rental we've stayed in (awesome,since we love to cook!). Beds were very comfortable - I could have slept all day! Brenda was wonderful to work with. I would book this house again in a heartbeat. Perfect for family reunions or 2-3 family "bubble" getaways!

Why they chose this property

This property is on the historical registry. One of the previous owners was an Attorney General for the Railroad and had President Taft visit him at the home. It has also been updated with all the modern amenities, however keeping true to preserving the historical nature and structure of the home making it functional and beautiful. It's a large space where families and groups can have their privacy and mingle in many areas. In the summer months (May - September) the in-ground heated pool with hot tub outside kitchen and extra large backyard and deck is perfect for Summer get togethers. There is also a XL (120") projection television. The front veranda where you can also relax and enjoy the views of Summit Avenue or bbq with friends.
