Dive deep into your artistic journey amidst the serene beauty of our getaway.
It's a 3K sq foot custom home on 2.0 acres on a bluff overlooking a beautiful cypress tree lined clear creek. This creek is spring fed and refreshingly cold! Guest use the creek fed swimming hole to swim. It is refreshingly cold just in front of house. Sit on the wrap-around porch and listen to the waterfalls that borders our property and enjoy the nature setting. Find your peace, relax and get away from it all with your family and friends.
It is secluded from the city for peace and quiet, yet this beautiful home is still close to shopping, vineyards, water sports, golf and great local restaurants. The Spicewood Creek House is all about relaxing, whether it is on the deep wrap around porch or in the hammock, or swimming* in the sparkling water below in the deep creek fed swimming hole, there is something for everyone. (*please note: seasonally the water in the creek can be lower if it is a drier time of year. We cannot predict this.)
*The swimming hole is for our community/neighborhood!*
You are really in the country, which is nice and peaceful, and nature is especially soothing; however, there are critters here that can be dangerous, so be Very Alert! It is advisable to NOT sit on or turn over any rocks without first looking carefully.
Lunar Sightseeing: For the best view, use binoculars with at least 7x magnification, though 10x or 15x will reveal more detail—just keep a tripod handy for stability.

About the host
Hosted by Carol Davis

Growing up in the country on a Texas Ranch gave me great appreciation for all things nature has to offer. Went to the Big City Lights in Houston to start my career as a Court Reporter, and when the city lights dimmed, I found myself yearning for nature and animals. I purchased a ranch about an hour from Houston and run a bed and breakfast there. Recently I was drawn to the Hill Country outside of Austin and am blessed to have had the opportunity to purchase this little slice of heaven in Spicewood and also have the opportunity to share it with others for rest, respite, and relaxation. May you enjoy it and have many lasting memories.
Why they chose this property
This beautiful, secluded home is so well situated with great places to go in any direction any time of year. If you want football games and 6th street musicians, you are 30 min. from Austin. If you want natural spring fed water holes for swimming , there are two very nearby. Love the wineries, and these Texas wineries are Napa with a Texas twist and well worth exploring! Check out the local eateries, Poodies, J-5 Steakhouse, La Cabana and, many people's favorite, Angel's Icehouse. I adore this house with the rock fireplace, great bedroom arrangements and the wide porches with the stunning view of the creek. The peace and sounds of nature is soothing to the soul!
What makes this property unique
I fell in love with fabulous house when I saw the beautiful creek and heard the waterfall! This is an oasis! The spring and its falls are audible from the backyard and keeps this creek full and clear! You will be drawn to the deep porches and the rock fireplace. Two bedrooms are downstairs and two up and they can easily accommodate your family. This is a perfect place to relax with your family, plus the location is so close to Bee Cave (15 minutes/Spicewood Center) and 30 minutes to downtown Austin.
Gaze at the numerous constellations. We have horseshoes, badminton and volleyball, as well as darts and ping pong on the porch and skittles, a fast paced game of pins and tops. Our guests are welcome to fish(catch and release only), hike up and down the creek embankments to see the caves and spring that feeds our creek, or paddle board and raft. There is a rock patio above that has a table set for those who wish to picnic outdoors and a swing hanging from a tree that calls for a good book to read. If you are interested in a more challenging way to have fun, we have neighbors who are experienced rock climbers who can provide you with equipment and instruction at whatever level you wish.
This newly furnished Texas farmhouse with handsome wide planked hardwood flooring is equipped to handle up to 8 people with four bedrooms and three full baths. All of the mattresses are brand new pillowtops. Two of the spacious bedrooms are up with a full bath. There is a queen in one bedroom with a huge chest of drawers and a rocker. The other room has two twins and a daybed to sleep three. There is also a loft area with a sofa and flat screen TV. Downstairs are two more queen bedrooms that each have their own bath. The master also has a separate jacuzzi tub with double sinks and a shower. There is a flat screen TV. in the large master bedroom as well as a chair and ottoman and a large chest of drawers.
