Located in the South End of Rockland less than a mile from Downtown. Easily walkable to Main Street and the boardwalk overlooking the ocean.

Our stay at this property was wonderful. The bungalow was beautifully appointed and convenient to everything in town. It was within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and sights. My husband and I had a great vacation in Rockland and would highly recommend a stay here.

Great location, very close to Rockland and an easy drive to Owls Head to the south and Camden/Mt Battie to the north. Alyssa’s house was clean and comfortable, and amenities, such as the kitchen, hot tub, and fenced-in backyard were awesome.

Very pet-friendly with a huge yard to run in! The house has a well stocked kitchen and great laundry area. Has a very nice deck with grill, table and chairs plus a very comfy settee and chairs. The king size bed is comfortable and the closets and cabinets in the master bedroom give you plenty of storage for longer stays. The Murphy Bed is perfect for any additional company. The 3rd bedroom contains a bunk bed, fun for the young teens.The rest of the house is set up to be comfortable with a deep, low oversized sofa and settee. The bar height tables with chairs leave room for the dog(s) underneath.The water is hot and plentiful in the tiled shower with bench seat. Plenty of towels, etc. to keep your vacation easy.The house is close to downtown and the waterfront. Lots of restaurants if you are in full vacation mode! If you do want to cook, don’t worry, the kitchen is easy to work in.Alyssa is great to work with and responds quickly to questions as well as provides lots of information about the area.
Fun house for the lucky pets.

Good for a couple, but kitchen lacking

My wife and I enjoyed this little house well enough, but found the kitchen lacking. We went to the local seafood market and bought cooked lobsters for dinner (as there wasn't a lobster pot there) only to find no utensils - hard shell lobsters which we had to use a can opener to crack into shells. Not the usual variety of dishes to make and/or eat a meal. Owner did, however, respond quickly to our questions or needs. When I asked about a hair dryer she bought one and brought it to the house. While staying there, there was an unusually stretch of hot weather and she offered to bring another air conditioner for the bedroom. Fenced back yard was nice for our dog. There is a hot tub available, but we didn't use it.

End of Summer Vacation

Very comfortable and well stocked cottage. Wonderful yard and space for pets. Owners were very quick to respond to any needs or questions. The only downfall to the week was the lack of a good beach.

Wonderful Rental and Rockland Stay

My husband and I spent our honeymoon is Rockland and returned 9 years later for our anniversary and we're so glad we chose this rental. The location is great and we loved that it was within walking distance to downtown. The home was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We brought items such as bath towels, toilet paper, dish soap, etc and none of it was needed since the owner supplied everything! We used the pool frequently so we appreciated that amenity. Great safe outdoor space for our two dogs. The only missing item was a pot large enough to boil lobsters, but that's okay since Jess's Market is a short walking distance away and we ordered steamed lobsters there. My favorite local beach, Crescent Beach, was just a short drive away. 5 stars overall and would return again!

Multi generational stay

We really enjoyed this Rockland property for its location, amenities, and price. It was the perfect place for my parents, myself and my children to stay while visiting family in nearby St. George, Maine. The owner offered great communication. My kids didn’t want to leave.

Wonderful host and stay

Alyssa was a wonderful host. We stayed in Rockland with our two young children and the house was as listed and perfect for all our needs. Each room was clean and spacious and the backyard was an added bonus. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Wonderful stay; extremely dog friendly

I had a wonderful week stay with my three dogs at Alyssa’s property. This vacation rental is extremely dog friendly. I typically find that “dog friendly” rentals are really not very dog friendly and finding a place to accept three dogs is even more challenging. When I reached out to Alyssa, she was welcoming of my entire pack. There were no inquires about my dogs breed, age, training, etc (which was wonderful!). There was not an additional dog fee, and her only policy was to respect her home. Her home was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The fenced yard was especially helpful, adding to the dog friendly nature of the rental. I didn’t want to leave! I look forward to returning!

Why they chose this property

I purchased this home as my dream home for myself and my two greyhounds. The house was remodeled for both personal security and the security of the previous owners' dogs. The completely fenced in yard, dog door, beautiful outdoor space and open living had me sold upon first look.
