About the host
Hosted by Christy McHenry
I love the country. North Ridge Farm started as my great grandparents summer home. I have many fond memories including visiting my grandparents as well as living there a few years before I got married. My husband and I live on a dairy farm further north with our son.
I also love to travel! Some of my favorite destinations include South Africa, Israel, Peru, Bolivia as well as Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon! I work in higher education and have had the opportunity to travel with my job. One of my favorite experiences was teaching at a missionary school in Paraguay.
Why they chose this property
This house has been in my family for almost a century. It was purchased by my great-step grandfather. I grew up down the road and have fond memories visiting by step-grandfather there. I also lived there a short time before I got married. It is one of my favorite places to stay. Listening to the birds while relaxing on the spacious front porch, watching wild turkey and deer wander by is like no other place for rest & relaxation.
