Beautiful ecological cottage near Mont Orford

Located 20 minutes away from the hills of the Mont Orford, this cottage has everything everything to charm you. You will find a living room with natural light, a cozy dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, two closed bedrooms and a glass mezzanine with a sofa bed. A patio (with BBQ), a huge terrace and the basement are also at your disposal. The chalet is eco-friendly. You can enjoy it with peace of mind!
This beautiful cottage is on one acre property, in the Domaine Vertendre. That is 1000 acres of boreal forest close to the Mont Orford, with 15 km of trails and two privates lakes. The trails are 2, 5, and 5.5 km, and are of different levels well suited for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and biking. A map of the Domaine will be provided on your arrival.
The Eastern Townships region has everything to please the more adventurous and the wisest. Two lakes are nearby: Argent and Stukely. The cottage is located 7 minutes from the village of Eastman, where you will find a bakery, restaurants and bistros, a spa, a theater house, a performance hall, an art shop. La Route Verte La Montagnarde is 3.3 km from the chalet. Mont-Orford National Park is a 20-minute drive, Missisquoi North River Park is 30 minutes away and it is amazing to paddle this beautiful river. Come and enjoy this extraordinary region!

A truly wonderful stay

This is a fantastic property. It’s location is perfect and it’s really worthwhile. We had a great time staying here. The ONLY thing that would make it a little better would have been an extra shower…but I am sure they are working on that!

We enjoyed our stay at the beautiful eco lodge. The pricing is definitely fair and their was a lot of seating areas which we enjoyed. The only thing I would say Is missing is some curtains kin the main living room to avoid the heat

A corner of paradise in Eastman

Loved the place. Well located, the proximity to nature is just stunning. Very private location yet a short distance from amenities and the major sites such as Mont Orford and Magog. Beautiful, modern property, spacious and well equipped. We had a great time. Perfect setting to spend time with friends and family. We highly recommend.

Comfortable house, good communication, easy accessibility and support from managers. We were visiting friends on Lake Orford and it was a 10 minute easy drive. The house was in the trees, not too far from the neighbors. Nice kitchen, modern design.

Très bien situé. Entouré par la nature . Endroit calme Très beau chalet avec beaucoup de luminosité. Excellent en tout point. Le seul petit petit bémol c’est qu’il n’y avait pas de liquide pour la vaisselle qu’on devait laver à la main et on a dû aller en chercher à Magog . Si non tout était parfait. Merci

Un endroit magnifique!

Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour à ce chalet, tout était parfait. L'endroit est magnifique et tout, absolument tout y est. À proximité de Magog, du marais aux cerises, du Cherry River, du Bleu Lavande et du Vieux Magog, nous avons fait de belles randonnées et de superbes visites. Not what we expected ...

This is a lovely property in a great location. There are other properties around but one still has privacy and can enjoy the beautiful nature all around. Unfortunately, the property was filled with flies when we arrived, so we spent at least half an hour getting rid of majority of the flies and the rest we handled in the following days. The property was not well cleaned (a few dead flies on the carpet, pieces of popcorn in one of the rooms, smudges on the chairs, etc.). The couch in the living room was practically grey in places instead of brown and the fabric was pretty ripped on one of the seats..with a few flies nestled on it when we got in, we didn't actually feel comfortable using that space at all during our stay. The good news is that the owners seem responsive and willing to improve...for e.g. a new couch is apparently coming within a week (was delayed due to covid). Given the overall appeal of the property and its location, I'm sure the issues I've outlined here will be addressed in due time and so those who visit it in the future will benefit from its full potential..unfortunately, that was not the case for us and we were left disappointed..

All together we speak five languages, have one cat, four bikes and a kayak, never enough music, a lot of books, and of course ... not enough time! We enjoy hosting people, and through all our travels, we have been lucky to be well hosted by generous people. Now we want to give back!

Why they chose this property

We just fell in love with the cottage! It's beautiful, well lit, spacious, modern and warm at the same time. Plus, it is eco-friendly and in a beautiful location that we have been exploring together for the last 10 years. What is not to love about the place?

What makes this property unique

There are huge windows in every room, with intimate views on the forest. There is a space for every moment of the day: a veranda for the morning coffee, a roof terrace for the happy hour, a large and warm dining room by the fireplace for a great supper with dear ones, and a clearing for late bone fire. It is close to Mont Orford, with paths for four-season activities. It is welcoming for all moods: quiet or bustling!
