Set up for a family or friend getaway, Pelican’s Crossing provides you with a fully equipped kitchen, and enough space to spread out. This property sits on the Mississippi River, mile marker 500 in pool 14. The deck allows you to enjoy the river boat traffic and an opportunity to kick back and relax. The property has a boat ramp and a dock big enough to tie up a 30 ft. boat or to sit and fish for catfish. We are not set up for swimming off of the dock and do not encourage swimming due to unpredictable water levels. A fire in the fire pit, at night, overlooking the river will make you want to just kick back and relax. Bring the marshmallows we have the sticks!
This is an old river house with its own personality. A multi level home with 2 official bedrooms, one with two queen beds and one with one queen and two twin beds. The living room has a sofa bed, a lower room has two twin beds. Plenty of space!
The train passes by a few times during the night so bring your ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. We also have fans to help eliminate outside sounds. Looking for something to do? LeClaire, home of the American Pickers, is 2 miles from the house. Shops, a distillery, a brewery and restaurants provides you with lots to do. Canoe and Kayak rentals are 10 minutes away in Camanche. Want to take a cruise on the Mississippi? LeClaire’s Twi-Light riverboat is 5 minutes away. There’s a great bike path across the bridge in Hampton. You can ride for miles along the river. Covid: We want you to be safe so we’ve taken extra steps to eliminate worry. The dining room chairs have been recovered with vinyl. Heavily used areas are wiped down with antibacterial every time. Contactless check in measures are in place. Hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap is readily available.

We had a delightful and relaxing long weekend here! Attended the Blues Festival, explored the Quad Cities area and did a little fishing off the dock. Sitting on the deck watching the world (and boats and trains) go by was one of my favorite activities. Teresa was super responsive and helpful. We'll be back!
We had a wonderful time staying here with friends. The deck overlooking the river was where we spent our evenings and it was perfect!
The driveway is a bit tight, but if you take it slow it is no problem.
We would definitely come back if in the area again!!
Good place to stay ! Right on the beautiful river, lots of river traffic to watch ! Nice deck with lots of seating and gas fire pit ! The house is very nicely done and very comfortable and clean , our family of 8 had plenty of room . Beds were comfortable .
We loved our stay at this property! Great location, very clean. Loved sitting on the deck watching the barges and ships go by. Very relaxing. Lots of room in the house. Communication was great between us and the owner. Would highly recommend!!!
The house was everything we thought it would be. Very relaxing and comfortable. The decks on the house were great, and having access the water dock was perfect. Thank You
We absolutely loved our time in the home. Teresa was incredibly responsive to any questions/needs we had. The view was beautiful and we loved being able to have nightly fires and enjoy the beautiful sunrises!
Just one note: the property is right next to a train track, and does not have a fence, so you have to be cautious with your children. The trains do run several times a day, so if you have light sleepers, this may be an issue. Overall we highly recommend the property for a great family getaway!
We had a fabulous time! The views from the kitchen, living room, and deck were absolutely beautiful! Jay did a great job of educating us about the river and how to stay safe in our boat with the low water. The ramp right next to the house allowed us to put our boat in the water and take it out easily as we wished (although it did take some precision work to do so).
Plenty of space for all of us to hang out together and also find our own space within the house. All appliances worked well for us (although the ice machine didn't work and the dishwasher didn't dry the dishes). The bedroom with 2 queen beds was quite warm, and we were thankful for the window air conditioner in the other bedroom.
We spent a lot of time on the water, visited downtown Leclaire and Antique Archeology (saw Mike Wolfe riding his antique motorcycle twice), and enjoyed The Great River Bike Trail across the river in Illinois (just a short drive across the bridge to get there in our truck with the bikes in the back).
I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Teresa and Jay were wonderful! Needed new gas for the grill and Jay was there in minutes to help out. The place was so nice and had everything we needed and the perfect view for watching the sunrise and all of the wildlife on the water. The day we checked out we were walking in town and Jay found us to give our dog Addison her ball back that we left at the house. They went above and beyond for us and highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. Thanks for everything!
We had the option of just relaxing on the deck with a beautiful river view or taking a short trip to historic LeClaire to enjoy all it had to offer. The house has a unique floor plan with the living room and kitchen/dining on different levels, yet somewhat open to each other with a railing. That arrangement means that both rooms have the river view. The bedrooms are very large and there's room for lots! I would stay there again.
My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The house is warm and comfortable. The views from inside and on the decks are outstanding! We will look forward to staying here again.
We really enjoyed staying at this property. Great views, great house and wonderful owners. Five minutes boating or driving to LeClaire. Private boat dock for fishing or tying up your boat. Will definitely book this property in the future.
The house was very clean and inviting. The sunset on the river was beautiful. The train can be a bit of a surprise the 1st time you experience it pass by in the middle of the night. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was lovely, roomy, bright, & cheery. A great place to relax & enjoy the water. The private dock was well used by our two fishermen in the party. The owners provided some fishing poles, extra line, net, dock chairs... and there were other unexpected extras like shampoo, sunscreen, lotions and other toiletry items incase you forgot something. The kitchen was well equipped if you want to cook. Large frig with ice & a water cooler. Thank you Jay for the water!! The bedding was very nice and the beds comfortable. The house does sit between the water and the railroad tracks so it was quite loud at night. I was, however, the only one in our party that was awaken by the train. Light sleepers may want to bring ear plugs or move to the down stairs room that sits on the river side. The deck faces east so very sunny in the morning but very nice in the afternoon & evening. Thank you Teresa & Jay, we hope to visit again.
Beautiful property on the river with amazing views. Spent the whole day just lounging on the deck and enjoying every minute of it. Property owners were friendly and helpful to all of our questions. Great stay.

We are life long residents of the Quad Cities and have enjoyed the river by boat for 20 years! After years of looking, we found this house on the river. We feel lucky to have found it and want to offer the experience of being on the river to others. The Mississippi River is beautiful and we hope you feel the same.
