Hidden Gem

We’ve stayed at Christoph’s condo numerous times. We love the location, the view & proximity to a gorgeous beach that’s walking distance from the condo. A short taxi ride from the airport & local grocery stores make this the perfect spot to stay in Grand Bahama. We go back year after year & have made many friends along the way. We love it!!

The area is beautiful, the room needs a bit of updating and minor repairs, and the carpet a wet vac... The stay was nice although some construction noises throughout the day. Will definitely visit again in the future, if only for the morning views.

Obera Oasis

My best friend & I have stayed in Christoph’s condo at Obera numerous times. How could we not?? It’s in the perfect location to be close enough to all the restaurants, beach, shops, etc. but relative to a big hotel or resort it’s quiet and peaceful and feels like your home away from home in a beautiful setting. We are definitely hooked on this hidden gem.

This is my 3rd time staying at the condo. I love the quiet location sitting on the canal. Make for a nice relaxing evening sitting at the pool or just lounging on the porch. Condo is equipped with necessities to make the home away from home very comfortably/enjoyable. From booking to checking was very smooth. I will definitely book on my next trip.

Hidden GEM in the Caribbean

If you look at the reviews for the condo you’ll see we come back here every year and since 2021 we’ve been returning twice a year. There’s nothing NOT to like about this condo.. It’s budget friendly, located on gorgeous Bell Channel, walking distance to a beautiful beach & a short water taxi ride to Port Lucaya, yet quiet and peaceful. Christoph, the host, is wonderful to work with and makes sure any need you have is met. I can’t wait to go back!!

Wonderful condo stay

We stayed at Christoph’s from January-March 2025. We loved our stay and recomend to others.Things we loved were good communication even before we booked and throughout our stay. Beautiful grounds and lovely sunset view of channel with amazing yachts that pass by. It’s a 3-4 minute walk to beach and white lounge chairs available on beach next door with nearby hotel beach restaurant for food/drinks. We rented a car for groceries/day trips. Fish Fry area is 25 minute walk away with excellent food and dancing. Pool is heated from rooftop system and reached 88F on some days. Felt safe in this area/gated community with nearby hotel cameras/security. Plenty of pool deck furniture plus patio chairs, table, lounge chairs and umbrella. The condo complex is quiet with mostly older adults. There were plenty of towels. The king size bed was comfy and had handy shelves on the headboard. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. There is a building laundry room 2wash/2 dry (quarters) plus 2 dry racks in condo. The wifi was good. Strong air conditioning but we only used it at night and used airflow of patio doors/kitchen door windows to keep cool daytime.Lucaya Market is 10 minute drive for restaurants and souvenir shopping. The airport was only 20 minute drive away. We will return again one day. It’s a great spot!

Oasis at Obera Beach

This was our 6th time staying in a condo at Obera Beach. We’ve stayed at Christoph’s unit #105 4 times. I’m telling you, if you’re looking for a place with a great view, close proximity to a beautiful beach, great restaurants & one beach over from the weekly fish-fry, you will not regret staying there. The convenience of having the water taxi for trips into Port Lucaya, access to Taino Beach & the water sports just make it too hard to pass on renting the place. Totally a budget friendly option if you’d rather be at a place that you can truly relax and unwind instead of the loud and noisy crowds you would encounter at some all-inclusive resorts. That is what keeps us coming back year after year. Rent his condo, you won’t be sorry!

Relaxing!!

I’ve stayed in Christopher’s unit several times now. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to sit out & watch the boat traffic on Bell Channel, walk to the beautiful beach at Taino or the convenience of having the water taxi back up & running to deliver a perfectly relaxing stay in the Bahamas. Can’t wait to go back.

The view is amazing and the unit was very clean. HOWEVER bed side lights didn’t work. TV didn’t work. I’ve never dealt with a door lock like this one and the owner would not respond to my requests for information. I would stay in this building again BUT NOT IN THIS UNIT!

Wonderful condo in paradise!

Great little condo with nice bed and wonderful view. The property is well managed and the pool and pool area pristine and comfortable. The snorkeling equipment came in hand left by owner when we went to paradise cove. The new appliances in kitchen great! Stop by Solomans or Sawyers on way in to get a few supplies. Great wifi as we had no cell service. Enjoyed the cool apartment and steps to pool w nice lounge chairs and the seawall has a reef and tropical fish to view on channel! Thank you for the cozy stay with a great location!

Hidden Gem and in Grand Bahama

This was our 5th trip to Grand Bahama & our 4th time at Obera Beach. We stayed in Christoph’s unit when the old owners had it. The updates Christoph has made are outstanding. The view of Bell Channel, the proximity to Taino Beach & people we’ve met are totally why we keep coming back here. It’s quiet enough at the condo but close enough to all the action! Can’t wait to go back in the spring!!
