Gorgeous 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom private home, sleeps up to 10. 10 person maximum. Pets are welcome with a $45/per pet fee. Has amazing views of the La Sal Mountains and Moab Rim. Only 10 minutes from the heart of downtown, but still far enough to allow you to enjoy the large outdoor patio with hot tub, fire pit, and horseshoe pits. Located on an acre of land, there is ample parking for your jeeps, trailers, etc. Large parties are welcome here, and there is plenty of space to accommodate them. Moving inside you'll find over 3000 sq ft. of space to stretch out in, spread over 2 floors. The master bedroom on the lower level feature both a jetted tub and a separate walk-in shower, as well as a King size bed. The other 3 bedrooms are located upstairs which features dramatic views through the large picture window in the seating area at the top of the stairs. Upstairs bedding includes: 2nd Bedroom: Queen, 3rd Bedroom: Double, Double/Twin Bunk Beds, 4th Bedroom: Queen Bed. And there are 2 additional twin size pull-out beds in the formal living room off the entry. Enjoy making your own meals in the well-furnished kitchen, or use the BBQ in the back. Relax in the great room while watching a movie in front of a crackling fire. The DirectTV package here provides access to most all channels. So whether you want to relax indoors after a long fun filled day, or continue the activities in the backyard, Moab Desert Home is the perfect place to spend your Moab vacation.

Capital A-mazing! Beautiful home situated between the ridge and mountains. It's perfectly placed just outside of town, with easy access to all things Moab. The back yard was perfect for enjoying the time away from the trails and restaurants. At night my wife and I just stared at all the stars like we were kids again. The home was very clean with comfortable bedding and furniture. Would highly recommend this location for anyone making their way out here.

Moab SxS trip

This property is perfect, Tons of truck and trailer parking we had 4 trucks with trailers and had more than enough room. House was perfect and location is great for hitting BFE, behind the Rocks and Steel Bender. Jim was super easy to communicate with, and house was better than advertised. We will be coming back a couple times a year.

Home base in Moab

We spent a week in Moab going to parks and off-roading and this was the perfect home base for our family. The home has amazing views and location is perfect for going to parks, town and exploring the area. The house had plenty of space,was well stocked, great bathrooms, comfy beds and the jacuzzi was awesome! Back yard was perfect for our dogs as it was fenced in with plenty of space for them to run. Owner was responsive and nice. We would definitely go back again!

Hiking trip to Moab

We had a great stay. The house fit us well with lots of room to move about. We loved sitting on the back porch. Was way too hot to use the hot tub-water was 109deg. We enjoyed the space, liked having two washers. The microwave did not work. Apparently hasn’t for a while. Otherwise we enjoyed this house.

We'll definitely be back!

Our family goes to Moab several times per year. This was our first time staying at the Moab Desert Home, but out of all the places we've stayed, this has been our favorite by far! It's kid friendly and dog friendly with plenty of space, plenty of places to sleep, and PLENTY of parking (which is a common problem when renting property in Moab). The kids and the dogs could play in the backyard, which had grass (another rarity in Moab) and the adults could relax on the porch and watch. In the ad, Jim mentions the stunning views. He's not kidding. The front of the house has a beautiful view of Moab Rim and the back of the house has an amazing view of the La Sal mountain range. We loved the La Sal view that we made a point of sitting on the porch every evening to watch the sunset on the red rocks. Very relaxing. We liked the location, which is a couple of miles south of Moab. So, you end up feeling like you're in a private hideaway with the benefit of being minutes from downtown. I cannot say enough positive things about this property. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Jim, for a fantastic stay!

Jim runs a fantastic VRBO in Moab. The house was wonderful for our family get together. Ten of us had plenty of space and room for more. The house was very clean and well stocked for all our needs. Super easy check in and easy check out. The hot tub worked great. When we come back to Moab this is the first place we will look to stay.

My family and I stayed at the Desert home over spring break and really enjoyed our stay. James was great to communicate with on the property and the house was beautiful as advertised. The views from the back yard of the La Sal mountains were stunning and the proximity to Moab (10 mins) was very convenient for meals. We visited both Arches and Canyonland National park from the home and they were easy drives and beautiful parks. Recommend staying here.

Why they chose this property

The rural nature of the neighborhood with fantastic views of the LaSal mountains and the Moab Rim is what we like best about our home. There are no next-door neighbors. Very private fenced back yard surrounded by open space with unobstructed views of the Moab valley and LaSal mountains.

What makes this property unique

The view, wide open spaces and privacy of my property is rare among vacation rentals in Moab. Plenty of room for trucks, trailers, RV's and off road vehicles in off street parking on the property. Gated safe parking in back yard as well. We support OHV.
