Beautiful home on the bay ... all as advertised. A bit remote in terms of getting into town but a very quiet idyllic setting. We will definitely look to come back.
I stayed at this beautiful home with my two young children for 5 days (with my parents visiting for a few days as well). Not only is the house expansive, beautifully laid out, and beyond comfortable, but they had every amenity one might need. The location is serene and private and very idyllic. We didn't want to leave, and almost don't want to review this secluded gem in fear that others will discover it! What a special place. We slept peacefully (as it was absolutely silent), kayaked, cooked meals, watched my kids run in the grass, saw beautiful sunsets, explored the property, and spent many wonderful days in the surrounding towns doing quintessential "Maine things", always happy to return to our home away from home. The kids didn't want to leave and we look forward to booking another stay next summer!
Stayed here during a family reunion in Friendship.
This was a perfect property for my wife and I and our son, daughter and 7 year old granddaughter. Lots of amenities, well equipped kitchen. Wonderful view and rocky shore to explore. You have to drive about 15 minutes to get to stores, restaurants, etc. But that's what makes it pristine.
We hosted a cookout for about 20 and there was everything we needed. Guests enjoyed a pingpong tournament. Would definitely rent again.
Having rented many vacation homes on the coast of Maine it is easy to say this was by far the most comfortable, well equipped, beautifully located. Ed was always available, full of area information and a great communicator. The most responsive home owner ever! And small things like not having to take trash to the dump ourselves goes a long ways toward creating a restfull vacation. And the kayaking was wonderful!
The property and home are everything you could imagine your Maine vacation should have. The location is out of this world - secluded and private with the location turning into an island during high tide. The home is spectacular, views are amazing and kayaking off the rocks was everything we could have hoped for on vacation. Family meals cooking in the fantastic kitchen and eating together on the screened porch was exactly the kinds of time we all needed to be together.
Ed was great to work with. He cares about his guests and the property. Everything we needed to enjoy our vacation was provided as expected. A great oceanside getaway with privacy and lots to do right there on the water and at nearby Maine summer activity locations
Wonderful experience. Ed was a wonderful person to work with. The house was clean and well stocked. Our family enjoyed the quietness and the view. Having the kayaks was also great for my kids and husband that wanted to go out on the water. Would definitely stay again!

I live and work in NYC and recently bought this family home from my parents this year. The house is on a family compound that has been passed down for generations since 1905. Passage View is the newest house, built in 2007, with all the amenities and peaceful surroundings your could ask for to escape for a serene vacation or family adventure. There are 7 other houses on the property along with two tennis courts, but tons of privacy.
