Escape to the mountains and experience the ultimate luxury vacation at Falcon’s Eye View Retreat in Truckee. With stunning views, spacious and comfortable living spaces, this three bedroom, two bathroom home is an ideal mountain retreat for the whole family! Located in a stunning resort neighborhood, Falcon’s Eye is the perfect vacation rental to unwind and relax in nature and be close to everything Truckee has to offer!

INSIDE THE HOME

The moment you step on the main floor, you’ll be greeted by a gorgeous living room with comfortable seating, a wood-burning stove and surrounded by windows that provide panoramic views of the mountains and greenery. The large fully-equipped kitchen has high-end appliances and plenty of space to work and the wrap-around patio is the perfect place to relax! There are two main floor bedrooms, a generous three piece bathroom plus a large laundry room. Guests will find the primary suite with a large king bed and spacious ensuite in the loft.

When you stay at Falcon’s Eye, you’re close to Lake Tahoe and historic downtown Truckee and you’ll have access to a variety of neighborhood amenities offered by the Tahoe Donner Association and Tahoe Donner Ski Resort. Winter or summer, this home is the perfect mountain retreat, offering everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

- There is a per person, per day fee to access the club amenities, and rates are subject to change. Please refer to the TDA website for details: https://www.tahoedonner.com/amenities/
- In the winter, snow tires and 4WD/AWD are required. If your car is not equipped with both, please be sure to have chains, this home has a steep driveway.
- We are in a rural part of America, where Google Maps is not always reliable. VRBO uses Google to generate the 'Explore the Area'. Do not rely on this map as it's not accurate.
- Outdoor furniture and grills may not be available November-May.

Each eligible property is issued 6 guest cards to access the recreation amenities available in Tahoe Donner Association.  Guests that fail to leave all 6 guest cards in the home after checkout will be subject to a $100 fine per missing card. Children under the age of 3 are free.  Guest access fees apply per person per day and vary by activity.

Full Terms & Conditions supplied upon booking and completion of signatures on the Booking Confirmation/Rental Agreement contract required for booking to be confirmed, must be signed within 24 hours of creating the reservation.

Perfect family mountain vacation

Our family loved our stay in this beautifully designed and well maintained home. We had an 8 month old baby and dog and there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep well and play. We loved having sunset drinks on the scenic porch, the jet tub was relaxing after long days of hiking, and the neighborhood was safe and quiet for early morning dog walks. We would love to return in the future.

Mountain View

The best part of this home is the mountain view...visible from all parts of the house. It is elevated from the street, making it feel secluded. Rooms are spacious with extra large master bedroom and bath. Good for families. The host reached out to check in...and at our request, delivered extra fans, washcloths, and tissues (strangely missing). We enjoyed our stay.

Light and airy with amazing views

Of the many Tahoe Donner homes we have stayed in this was our favorite by far. Great location, nice and functional layout with a great open feeling inside and on the deck. The second bedroom bed was a bit noisy (not like that..) and we couldn't get the fireplace to start up but not a big concern. Overall, would happily come back to this one

Spectacular views in a quiet convenient community

View from the expansive front deck took our breath away and we sat out there every morning and evening just taking in the air and sights. Amazing bike trail system behind the equestrian center and a convenient cafe to have lunch at after a long morning ride. Wonderful to have use of the large 2 car garage! House had everything we needed!

Cozy home, great neighbors in Tahoe Donner

The traffic was terrible. The snow skiing was mediocre. But the house we rented in Tahoe Donner in Truckee was perfect for a family getaway - with dogs - in the Sierra. The house boasted great views to the north and a relaxing great room with fireplace-stove to keep us all warm. The kitchen is well appointed, and really made it easy for us to stay in to cook for ourselves. We can only recommend this house for a family stay

Truckee Stay

View from the property was beautiful. Wonderful to wake up to that view, sit on the deck and enjoy a cub of coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. The house could have been better stocked in regards to glassware (two glass wine glasses is a bit thin), a few shades were broken and could not be opened. Some upgrades were made downstairs but a few items dated and could be upgrade. Overall again beautiful view and we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet Clean Fun Place to Stay

Nice quiet location. House well equipped with nice furniture, kitchen easy to cook in and well equipped with pots, pans , dishes and glassware. Bathrooms were interesting with their modern design features and had nice towels. The house was very clean. Did not realize master bedroom was a loft - super spacious but we needed to figure out lights out and tv off times for living area downstairs. Not a big deal actually. Great washer and dryer set up! Driveway and parking was challenging — best to back into parking area . Narrow driveway. Once we figured that out w our 2 cars — it worked well.

Lovely, but dirty...

We literally had to hand wash the dishes tjat were in the cupboards. Stuck on food and grease. Frying pans were filthy as well. We have pics if you want them. Would not recommend this property. Also, no extra toilet paper or paper towels. Very disappointed in th8s very expensive rental 😕

Great Property

As for the location, home, and ease of use is AMAZING, however the maintenance was an issue. We had a broken window in the guest room, not sure how they missed that. Most of the window blinds were broken or not usable meaning the string was broken. The snow on the roof was an issue on the deck, we shoveled a few times to keep the snow on roof from falling on us, had to knock down a few huge snow pack so when we walked out on deck it did not fall on us. Again loved the house, but the maintenance could use more support.

Good house for family

This house is cozy and has a great seating area. The large windows are wonderful to see the view. We had good responsiveness from the property management company. Sadly this house does have some needs to be addressed such as a broken fireplace remote. The fireplace beeped for hrs and hrs on end. The blinds don’t work leaving many rooms very dark since they only go up about half way. The bedroom with the bunk beds has no place for clothing, no closet or dresser. The upstairs shower leaks since the seal from the door is not tight. There are limited bowls and silverware that we had to run the dishwasher after every meal so the next meal we had enough serveware (we are a family of 6). All of that was livable and we didn’t mind overall. The kicker was the neighbor who was so disturbed my kids were enjoying the snow he threatened to call the association to come fine us. For playing in the snow!!! My daughter was so scared, it ruined the rest of her time. Even with all the positives about this house we won’t be renting this place again after this unfriendly neighbor experience.

Very comfortable home and wonderful views. High ceilings and fun times on the large deck. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only issue was no AC but most cabins in Tahoe lack AC and there were fans in place. Overall, great vacation. Thank you.
