Absolutely lovely apartment! This was our second stay and it felt like coming home! Claudia was responsive to our questions - prior to and during our stay. 5 stars all around!!
The description is literally understated. Gorgeous multi-room place. Great location for anyone willing to walk 10-15 minutes. Will stay there again next time for sure.
We loved the apartment in Beaune. It was very clean and had an interior designers touch which was beautiful. I highly recommended this adjustment
apartment.

This property is absolutely lovely. Renovation/design updates were well done while still capturing the charm of the historic building. Beaune’s town center is just a few minutes away by foot, and this place has everything you need for a lovely home base stay in Burgundy.

Thank you James for your kind comments, I am glad you enjoyed your stay at La Maison du Couvent.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay in this charming converted convent. Spacious and tastefully appointed with a huge step-down kitchen area. Plus the private backyard created a pristine and quiet stay. Beyond that, Beune is a charming town with lots of history, friendly locals wonderful restaurants and great bike trails to neighboring villages.
Beautiful place with lots of charm and modern amenities. Location was great - quiet and private but walking distance from les ramparts, l'Hotel-Dieu, and all that Beaune has to offer. We'd come back in a minute.
The property is very tastefully decorated with the remains of arched brick ceilings. It has all modern furnishings and quality appliances. The place is located two blocks from central Beaune with an easy walk to many highlights of Beaune. It is also a good location for seeing other towns and cities in Burgundy.
This is the third time that we stayed here. The Apartment is beautiful and well maintained. It is a short walk to the center of town. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We are already making plans to return next year.

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful flat. Everything was perfect! The flat was even more attractive in person than in the photos on the VRBO website. The location was great—it was only a short walk to the center of Beaune. Although we did not meet Caroline, she was really helpful before we left home and she sent us useful texts while we were in Beaune. We saw Max a couple of times, and he was the perfect host. All in all, our Beaune holiday was formidable!
Everything in our Beaune VRBO was perfect, beginning to end. Caroline was a joy to work with — great communication and very helpful. The Chapel is well located, and simply beautiful, with clear evidence of great taste in art and design at every turn, inside and out. I highly recommend this beautiful accommodation.

A very lovely remodeled one bedroom with three separate beautifully design rooms, kitchen with the newest appliances, separate toilet, washer, dryer, and beautiful, authentic original stonework. Very easy, five minute walk to the center of the village, and very enjoyable! Wonderful!
Truly one of the coolest and most amazing rental properties we have stayed in. The apartment is so unique, beautiful and well appointed. It was a quick 5-minute walk into town. Only critique is the window shades are very thin and you feel a little 'exposed' to neighbors at night, specifically in the bathroom. Thank for for an awesome stay in Burgundy! :)

Hello Lauren
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the Chapel, and we hope to welcome you again in the future.
Thank you
For the window shades, you should have closed the shutters at night, and you'll be 100% not seen.

5 days in busy Beaune
We enjoyed the spaces of the apartment. Everything was as pictured Without a car, there was a lot of walking. It’s quite warm in Beaune but two fans helped. Adding two luggage racks for suitcases would add to the apartment’s comfort. It’s a long walk to and from the train station on the very rough surfaces.

Linda we are glad you enjoyed the house!
Beaune is like a village obviously there is no subway… you’d better have a car in rural areas in France.
We had a wonderful week and enjoyed our time at The Convent enormously. We have visited Beaune a couple of previous times over the past decade or so, but always for a day or two and always stayed at hotels. This was a much better experience. La Chapel is a fascinating and very workable layout, very clean and updated, and has a wonderful courtyard and yard area we used a lot for meals and relaxing. We walked everywhere, since everything is fairly close by: boulangerie, groceries, restaurants and shops, etc. Caroline was very helpful with the reservation and providing additional information. We can’t wait to return.

About the host
Hosted by La Maison du Couvent - Caroline & Max GIGANDET
We are both native from the Beaune area, and we just achieved the complete renovation of this former Convent from the 17th century. This building has got a lot charm, and many of the original materials are still in place, including the classic oak-beamed ceiling, some old parquet floor, and classic and original tiles. We did the renovations as it was our “home sweet home”, creating a warm and personal decoration, to provide the best feeling to our guests. All the renovations have been made by local craftsmen, and as an interior architect I had a lot of pleasure to coordinate their work and put in relief all the character from the past. The kitchen has been made on demand, with top range selection of kitchen appliances, we have carefully selected the beds, including large dimensions (1 Kind size bed – 180 x 200 / 1 Sofa bed 160 x 200). We have done a mix of modern and old pieces of furniture, selected some warm painting colors (Farrow & Ball / Ressources), to provide our guests the nicest stay as possible.
Why they chose this property
Beaune is the among the most renown and prestigious wine area, it offers a large range of activities, for everyone that enjoy wines, gastronomy, historical building and to share conviviality moments. The town is perfectly renovated and the buildings are well maintained over the years, the city has preserved all the character from the past, it is a site full of history. Beaune offers a large choice of restaurants, wine tastings, and it will grant you the possibility to know deeper the Burgundian wines. The quality of life is very nice, Beaune offers also a large choice of cultural activities, for example the annual crime film festival (March), the festival of Baroque music (June/July), or the evening illuminations of some of Beaune’s historic buildings. The life is easy and relax. You can also enjoy biking across the prestigious vineyards.
We felled in love with this former convent, at the beginning you need to get some imagination, as the property was not maintained for decades, the Convent was composed of 2 small apartments, that we have joined to make one. After 6 months renovation, we are so pleased about the result, and our guests really appreciate their time in the house, you just need to check their comments.
