The House of the Convent offers a completely renovated accommodation in a former convent from the 17th century, consisting of a - Very large living room with open-plan fitted kitchen, beautiful French ceiling, lounge area, - Master bedroom with a double bed (180x200) - Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds (90 x 180) - Bathroom with walk-in shower (140 x 90), 2 washbasins - Separate toilet. - Facilities: Free WiFi, washing machine, dryer, oven (Miele) , microwave (Miele), TV, Bluetooth radio, , refrigerator, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishes, pot, etc ... - Duvets and sheets, towels, dish cloth - We take care about the cleaning of the property, and the person in charge of the house is particularly attentive to it. - The private garden of 900 m2 is enclosed by walls ... We let on disposal a charcoal WEBER BBQ , garden furniture, deck chair (Fermob). The garden is shared with our 2nd apartment. - Baby crib and high chair available on demand. - The convent is set back from the street which makes it a calm and tranquil place to stay. - Not accessible to people with reduced mobility, because of a lot of stairs (Old building) . - Thank you for being environmentally respectful by turning off the lights when you leave the premises. Please avoid heating (if possible) above 20°C in living areas and 18°C in the bedrooms.
It is situated just a few minutes’ walk from: - the center of town, so it’s easy to get to the market and shops or to one of Beaune’s excellent restaurants. - Bike road in the vineyards and park (500 meters from the Convent) - 2 minutes walking distance from restaurants (Table du Square, Maison du Colombier..) - 5 minutes walking distance from the wineries to taste and enjoy wine (Maison Joseph Drouhin, cave Patriarche) - 5 minutes walking-distance from the market area (Wednesday and Saturday morning) - Not accessible to people with reduced mobility, due to a lot of stairs (old building) Beaune offers a very wide range of activities, and has a great cultural potential - Hospice de Beaune Museum (Hotel Dieu) - “Vente des Vins”, Beaune’s renowned charity wine auction, 3rd weekend of November - Annual crime film festival (March) - Festival of Baroque music (June/July) - Traditional French produce market held in Beaune’s central marketplace, every Saturday morning - Wine tastings in one of the regions’ numerous cellars - Gastronomy: there are Michelin-starred restaurants included amongst the region’s many restaurants - Visit the old, walled town and walk along the ramparts - See the evening illuminations of some of Beaune’s historic buildings - Wine classes - Balloon rides over the vineyards - Swim in the local lake water at the Etangs d’Or (facilities include parking, food kiosk, changing rooms, showers etc. Entry fee.) - And much more… You can also enjoy a visit of Dijon, which was the Burgundy Duke capital.
