10/10. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Property is gorgeous and immaculately maintained, the views are amazing. Hosts are very professional and communicative. Could not recommend this property enough.
Despite several other houses on the property, the place felt very private. Enjoyed the kayaks, but we were disappointed that we couldn't take a dip in the bay waters given all the jellyfish and water moccasins at that time of year. Really nice to take a dip in the pool after kayaking each day.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. The water is hit or miss this time of year for jellies.
Thanks
Our family really enjoyed their stay. The pool and riding in our boat were favorites. Little ones loved the little beach. Older ones were thrilled with the very successful crabbing experience.Adults loved plenty of shady seating on the porch and under the trees. We will be looking for an alternate vacation home for next year just because our huge family (15) needs more comfy beds and more bathrooms. But the Charthouse is perfect for family fun!
Property is very nice for a week vacation. You won’t be disappointed.Water sports, crabbing, fishing are great. The house was very clean and everything was very nice. Could use a little better Wi-Fi. Kelly and the help were very helpful and quick to respond to everything. Kelly even called and warned us of a coming severe weather event. This is our second time renting this home and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time at Swan Cove Manor, Charthouse! Kelly was a great host, always on hand when needed and answered all questions we had. Our 6 grandchildren, ages 6 and under, absolutely loved being able to use the swimming pool and to fish whenever they wanted, plus the bonus of the swings!! They truly needed nothing else!! The a/c took a bit to get used to - cold during the day but at night the upstairs was a bit lacking, nothing that was unbearable or worth a complaint about. Definitely recommend and if we were to come back to the area would definitely stay again. Thank you Kelly for your hospitality and for checking in and help with any questions!!
I stayed at this property for two nights in November and we had a great time. The major selling point for us was the water – the views were just spectacular and the windows are so large you don’t even have to be outside to see them. This was a real treat – and the kids certainly liked the small beach where they could play with sand and get their feet wet. The other major draw was the lovely firepit outside and the supply of firewood. It made for a lovely late afternoon. We could then continue the evening indoors with the indoor wood-burning fireplace, which ties the living room together nicely. The kitchen was very well equipped, providing for a lovely Thanksgiving dinner. It is a spacious house, the bedrooms are large, and the property charming.

Glad you had a good time. Thanks for visiting. See you next time. Happy Thanksgiving
We loved staying here for our annual friends weekend! The house was exactly as described, clean, and you can’t beat the property. The pool needs a new liner, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Kelly was fantastic - super accessible and accommodating. I highly recommend this house - views are gorgeous, it’s spaced far enough away from the other properties, and spacious enough for a large group. The lawn was perfect for lawn games, kayaks and a fire pit with seating is provided, and they even provided small toiletries. If you’re looking for a secluded getaway where you don’t need to leave the property, I highly recommend it. It’s about 20 mins from the town, but we didn’t need to go anywhere so it was perfect. I’d rent from Kelly again in a heartbeat!
My family had a wonderful time at the Chart House. The property was clean and well maintained. Kelly is amazing and always responded very quickly. Other than the pool liner that was mentioned in a previous post the house is in great shape and you cannot beat the amazing views.
This home is very nice and in a great location for a peaceful vacation. we had a great time with the kids and grand kids fishing and crabbing right from the dock. Kelly and the help were very responsive and very friendly and helpful, especially when we had questions about the tropical storm headed our way. I would definitely recommend this property for your vacation.

Five adults and two children had room to be apart and so much to do they had a great family week together. We kayaked, swam, rode our bikes, learned about birds, baby fish and jellyfish. We barbecued, had s’mores at the fire pit, played bean toss, frisbee and swam and swam and swam. Collapsed into comfortable couches and beds and the week flew by

weekend family getaway
We stayed at the home for a short weekend getaway with the family. very calm and peaceful. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. House and pool is on the older side, don’t expect Modern amenities like a 4 seasons or Ritz Carlton but it is extremely spacious with a beautiful calming location right on the water. A charming home with character. Not your sleek modern Hamptons getaway but definitely a relaxing vibe away from all the noise.

I am glad you enjoyed your stayed. Our Charthouse is a gem of the Cheasapeake bay and was originally built in 1880. It's the original farm house of the estate and has been added to and renovated over the years. We purposely kept the charm of the old while adding the creature comforts of the modern lift style including indoor plumbing, toilets , showers, and Central air. The pool liner was scheduled for replacement but due to Covid got pushed by pool company and will be replaced after the season in order for our guest to still enjoy a pool at this home for the summer. Pool is fully functional and maintained weekly.
I have to say, the house did NOT disappoint. The pictures do not do justice for the peaceful serenity we found at Swan Cove. There was something for every one to do! There was not one thing I didn't like about the house and location. This property literally has everything you need, just bring groceries and relax.
The sunrises were breathtaking and the moon rising was surreal. We woke up at 6:30 to watch the sun rise over the bay and bait the crab traps provided. We fished off the private pier and caught a Stripped Bass and 4 blue crabs!
We had 9 people on our trip and still had to yell to find each other as the house is huge. I am definitely planning a return trip so we can spend more time in this piece of heaven. I am so grateful for the peace of mind the property manager provided. All my questions and concerns were handled almost immediately. I would recommend this property to every and anyone looking for a stress free vacation!

Glad that you all enjoyed your stay. Hope you come back again and tell your friends and family.
The home is very clean and spacious. There is lots of shade and seating on the rear porch facing the river and in the yard at picnic tables under a huge (oak?) tree. The rest of the flat yard is sunny and bright. We flew kites with our toddlers. There is a well-fenced pool and we caught fish and crabs off of the dock. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend this home.
