10/10! We had the most excellent stay at this beautiful house for a large family and friends gathering! There is plenty of room in the bedrooms (many with multiple beds), as well as several very comfortable hang-out spaces on the first floor, including the long dining room table which made for great communal meals and conversations. The screened-in porch, deck, pool and hot tub were all great amenities, as was the firepit (bring your own wood!). Check-in and check-out were easy and communications were good. We definitely would come back for future visits!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! It’s tucked away off the beaten path, offering a peaceful atmosphere and fantastic water views right from the house.The house itself is massive, with plenty of bedrooms, a large dining room, and tons of comfortable social areas for everyone to gather. The indoor pool was the absolute highlight of our trip, the kids had an incredible time, and the hot tub was a wonderful bonus. We also really appreciated the screened-in back porch, which allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the view without worrying about bugs.Just a quick tip for future guests: there were quite a few mosquitoes during our stay, so bring some bug spray! That’s just Mother Nature being Mother Nature though, and certainly no fault of the host.Highly recommended for families or large groups. We would definitely stay here again!

The pier is in need of repairs. There are several boards missing, nails protruding up from others, and uneven boards that create a tripping hazard.

Thank you for pointing out the condition of the pier. We want you to know the pier rebuild started this past Monday - it's been fully removed and will be fully replaced, with completion expected in October. This was the plan all along to make it through the end of summer season, a few storms sped that process up. Next summer we will have a beautiful new pier.

Bugs everywhere in house, one shower unusable for water leak, another shower constantly filled with bugs coming out of drain, 3 air conditioners not working for three days, pool filter not working so no swimming for three days, Screens on porch busted so squirrels got in and terrorized the kids every morning , hot tub kept losing water so couldn’t be used for two days. They need to post a floor plan of the property because the layout wouldn’t work for generational family members.On the plus side the home and property where beautiful and breathtaking but maintenance and upkeep need work.

Beautifully situated property with a gorgeous water view, plenty of shade around the yard, and so many places to sit and relax! We were a group of 17 ladies, a mix of family and friends, for our annual Ladies Weekend, and everyone had plenty of room to enjoy themselves - yoga, reading, walking, sipping wine by the dock. It was a lovely getaway!

Family holiday

We had wonderful time at the house. Location was perfect and the pool was great hit with everyone. We rented a speedboat for 2 days which was delivered at the dock.There was plenty of space for 20 people. Plan on renting this home again.

Excellent Property - Highly recommended

We stayed with our friends over the New Year. The property was big and easily accommodated our group. It was well furnished and had enough and more towels, cutlery, etc. for our group. The property is well secluded with excellent privacy and water views. Our group really enjoyed the stay at this property.

Wonderful Home

This was an amazing vacation house for our big family. We had 17 people and it fit everyone comfortably. The pictures don’t do this place justice. We 100% recommend and would love to come back!

This is an amazing property! Great for large families, with multiple spaces to relax or congregate. Between the pool and the crabbing, our kids and their cousins spent so much time together. That was the greatest part. From Bald Eagles nesting in a tree right in the backyard, amazing sunrises and sunsets, and fires on the back patio, this home has it all.

Love this Place!

We have stayed at the house multiple times for our family reunion and we fall in love each time we go. The house is huge and allows us to all be together or spread out in one of the many living rooms. The dining room table is great. The views are beautiful. The entire family loves the indoor pool. It is a fantastic family getaway location!

Definitely would stay again

We extremely enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, kitchen was well equipped and the view was spectacular, especially with the Eagles that have nested on the 32 acre property. However was disappointed in the fact that the fire places were not in working conditions and rooms should have been number. We enjoy kayaking up and down the bay and taking it all in. I would definitely stay again.

really enjoyed this place

We had a great time. Children and their parents spent a lot of time in the surprisingly large pool. Some adults chose the hot tub and the most active members of our group were paddleboarding and kayaking in the river. Severl people went hiking at Blackwater, and a few of us just sat on the screened in porch.

We enjoyed this beautiful house and property! We loved being able to kayak and paddle board right from the dock. The house was really spacious and well equipped. Loved the game room, pool, hot tub, and screened-in porch! A few minor negatives: WiFi wasn't great, pool heater wasn't working so the water was pretty cold, and one of the showers wasn't usable due to a major leak. Over all, though, this place was ideal for our large family, and we would stay here again.

Quiet

Overall great place. Very quiet. Only suggestion would be that another bathroom on the second floor would be appreciated as there is only one bedroom with a private bath.
