We had a wonderful stay May 2026 for 5 nights. Large wonderful deck directly facing the sea with gorgeous views with sunrise and sunsets and direct access to the beach. We were a family of 4 adults and 3 children and the beach house had plenty of room for us. Kitchen was excellent and well equipped. Location was excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return to this property.

It goes without saying the view was spectacular. We enjoyed our time on the lovely deck. What was not good was we were there during the heatwave. There was no AC, fans or any cross ventilation. My husband and I had the bedroom on the lower level. It was really difficult to sleep because it was so warm there. Had to resort to opening the windows so we did not suffocate and then we had to deal with the bugs. The description of the property said king beds in 3 bedrooms. That room did not have a king because it would not have fit.I am an 80 year old woman and the many individual stairs were hard for me because there were no hand rails. I can’t imagine a young child at this property. I believe your description of the property should mention all the levels and numerous stairs.
The house layout was unique but it had everything we needed and the location was outstanding. The deck on the shoreline was our favorite spot. Wish we could have stayed longer.
A lovely spot with a good kitchen and stunning views from the terrace. You can walk right out the back and onto the beach. We only used one bedroom but it was a super comfortable bed and so quiet for sleeping at night! Also nice to be out of the tourist zone and surrounded by the locals.
All of us found a room we liked and the deck is snaking to watch the sunset from. Kitchen nicely equipped with real cookware. Thoroughly enjoyable thankyouHosts easy to messsge with great gun
Amazing Location, House is designed for family stay. Great kitchen, dining and living room. Great main bedroom with view. Other bedrooms more French family style. From the beautiful relaxing deck we could walked straight to the beach. Also from the deck you could see sunrise and sunset in late August. Great views!Communication with host Abdel was great and helpful.
The location of the house itself was amazing; right on the water, beautiful views, walking distance to restaurants and stores. The house is spacious and was extremely clean. The host was super responsive, usually responding back within 30 minutes, when we had questions. The bathroom situation was a little awkward. In two of the rooms, the toilet is right next to / faces the bed. No separation, no walls, no privacy. The upstairs shower is also on a balcony looking down at the kitchen/nook table, and you need to walk on the balcony in order to get back to the bedroom. When we travelled (August 2026), it was hot. The house does not have Air Conditioning (AC). There is a nice breeze coming in from the water, but when ever we opened the windows at night, dozens of bugs, mostly flys and spiders would enter the house. After the first night, we had to sleep with the windows closed, making for a very hot and uncomfortable sleeping experience. The shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent and toilet paper weren't well stocked. There were 7 of us staying there (one family) for four days, and on our last night, we pretty much ran out of everything. The kitchen was super modern and had ample plates, cups and cutlery. The dishwasher was also convenient and modern. If this place had AC or even bug screens on the windows, and was better stocked it would be a 10/10 every day of the week.
This place is AMAZINGThe house is located on gold beach, with a walkout onto the beach. The deck oversees the famous phoenix caissons from the D day invasions with a wonderful view of the sea. It also has some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seenThe house itself is modern, with pretty much everything you need provided. We had a 9 passenger van and were easily able to park it inside If you are looking for a house on the beach, for a Normandy trip, you cannot ask for better

Excellent views. Abdel was very prompt in communication
Absolutely brilliant house in Asnelles. Directly on Gold Beach - so perfect for exploring the D-Day landing museums and memorials but also perfect for just having fun on the beach. House was clean and extremely well stocked with all the necessary items - from dishwasher tabs to washing powder. Would highly recommend!
Our stay in this home was perfect. The location made seeing the sites easy. The living space was comfortable , the beds comfy and the outside space is so interesting to view the beaches. The changing tide was amazing.
My only suggestion would be to perhaps upgrade the outdoor table and chairs.
Our group had a fantastic time! The house is eclectic, unique and perfect for three couples. The view from the deck...absolutley amazing. Looking out over the English Channel on a historic beach from WW2 has given us lifetime memories. The VRBO host was wonderful to work with and responded to our crazy questions very quickly. I would highly recommend this house. It is conveniently located if you are doing a tour of the Normandy Beaches and anything related to WW2. Once again, we had a wonderful time.
We all loved staying at Rima’s beachside property. It was the perfect addition to a multi generational Normandy landing beaches stay.
We liked grilling b out, eating on the terrace and taking advantage of many excellent guided tours of the DDay sights. Rima has the most comfortable beds and the linens were the finest.
The only drawback was the dishwasher which is nearing expiration. Other than that, a perfect stay!

Bonjour from Asnelles,
Further to your email, for which we thank you, we are very happy to hear that you had a great time in Balcon sur Arromanches !!!
We hope to see again in the future :)
Thank you to let us know about the dishwasher we are going to check that !
Cordially,

Our stay was fantastic. The owner was very responsive, delightful, and prompt in his responses. The house was immaculate, great beds, a very well equipped kitchen & you just can not beat the location right on Gold Beach. The back deck was the perfect spot to end the day after exploring the historical sites in Normandy. We are a group of very tall Americans - with that in mind, be aware that there are a couple areas in the house when you may need to duck to avoid whacking your head. We absolutely give the location and the owner 5 stars.
The layout of the home was a bit odd - in that the toilets are actually "in" 2 of the bedrooms. Although it was a bit of a surprise at first, we adapted! The space was outstanding and very roomy. The kitchen was well equipped and beautiful. But the deck on Gold Beach was just incredible. The feeling we had when we first walked out on it and saw the mulberries right there, it was heart wrenching. We enjoyed this property immensely! We were 3 couples traveling together. I hope to return one day!
Superb location as per the photos. Rima was very easy to communicate with. The place is a bit quirky, especially the upstairs. Tall people must be careful not to bump their head and the transition from the bedroom to the shower requires a bit of flexibility. The newly installed shower curtain worked well for us.
Be advised there is no sound proofing between the upstairs toilet and the rest of the house which can result in a few uncomforatble moments. Easily rectified by using blue tooth speakers when required.
The kithen has everything you culd possibly need to create the most outstanding of meals. There is also a bbq which uses real wood briquets.
We took advantge of the great deck every day, even when we had some rain showers. Sunsets are amazing!
We were there for 10 nights and the location made accessing everything we wanted to see very easy.
I would edefinitely stay there again.

NORMANDY
The location of this home in the heart of Normandy is incredible - 20 minutes from Bayeux, and directly on the coast. Driving in the neighborhood to the house is a little worrisome - some very old and unkept homes surround it, but the house itself is nice. The accommodations are a little unusual - the upstairs bedroom has little privacy - the attached bathroom is open to downstairs and the shower itself has no curtain to shield it from the kitchen/living/dining area. There are three bedrooms downstairs - the one on the front right has a shower and sink in the bedroom, with a half bath with toilet just outside. One passes through the bunk room to get to the additional bedroom with king size bed. This room has a toilet about 12 inches from the bed, a sink and a small shower. The beds are comfortable, and the view is INCREDIBLE. There is a back gate that takes you directly to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked, but you need to supply coffee, spices and anything else you need. Also need to bring bath wash, shampoo and conditioner.
Very nice place on the beach centrally located for all D-Day beaches and museumsRight on Gould Beach nice sunset and sunriseOnly drawback all bathrooms and showersare through a bedroomNo AC, but with windows open nice breeze off of the oceanOverall, great place
