Wonderful location for an extended family gathering. Had everything we needed to enjoy the lake, prepare meals in the kitchen and spend quality time together. Felt like being at home. Very comfortable and clean.
Second time staying at this Great Lake house. Weather was not as nice but you still cant beat the location! Beautiful and quiet, house has everything needed for a wonderful stay. Close to Middlebury with hiking and biking close by.
Home was very clean and updated and had beautiful view of the lake
We came for a family reunion which was about 10 minutes away. The neighborhood was quite. The house is a perfect VT lake house. The view was gorgeous and the house had a lot of beds and amenities and was updated and clean. Rose was so responsive and nice to talk to. We would absolutely book here again.
We stayed at the house for a week. The house is even nicer in person than the photos show. Beautiful, clean, and has everything you need. It is the perfect location for a relaxing getaway. Beautiful quiet lake that only allows trolling motors which makes it very peaceful and safe for swimming, paddle boarding, & kayaking. Had coffee on the deck each morning an wine on the deck in the evening. If you are looking for a place to relax & recharge your soul, this is perfect. The owners are available for any questions and very easy to work with. Highly Reccomend!
We were in town for a charity bike ride. House was perfect for our group. Amazing views and the fire pit was a great addition. House is wonderful with plenty of room. The perfect lake side retreat. We will be back!
Awesome house right on the lake with a bunch of canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. Basement is only half finished so bedroom is a little weird but all the other rooms are great.
We had the most amazing weekend! We have family in the area and it was wonderful to have such a beautiful outdoor setting to gather. The house was clean and beautiful. We so appreciated the use of the canoes and rafts. Rose was responsive and such a delightful host. We will be back for sure. Thank you Rose!
This cottage on the lake was even nicer than we expected. It was beautifully laid out with a great kitchen and plenty of room to relax. The lake is peaceful and perfect for kayaking and fishing.
Pictures do not do this house or its setting justice! Lake is beautiful and so peaceful. House is wonderfully set within the woods, yet property is close to Midd and Brandon. Rose was a wonderful host. Check in couldn't have been easier - the orange fish signs were brilliant. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen was great to cook in, lots of games/wifi for the rainy day. Would love to come back when its a bit warmer to kayak and swim on the lake! Thanks again to Rose and Joe for the wonderful hospitality!
A beautiful and joyful time returning to Fern Lake.
This is a modern, spacious, clean, and cared for house and property. The view of the lake is not to be believed in the morning and evening, and the fishing, Kayaking, swimming, and fishing are playful and joyful afternoon activities. We hiked at nearby Silver Lake - a crystal clear lake on top of an advanced-beginner hiking trail. We went tubing on Lake Dunmore with Kelly - a local who offers half-hour trips. I caught a largemouth bass from the dock! Most beautiful, however, was sitting together as a family on the dock at night watching the stars that were actually shooting. A special and memorable experience.
