About this property
Beautiful and Charming 4 Bedroom Lake or Ski House on Fern Lake, Green Mtns.
A beautiful, private, charming, and artsy lake house that comes with all lake-loving necessities! Also close to Killington, Sugarbush, Okimo, and the Snow Bowl for winter fun. A cape-style house with sun porch, library with smart TV, WiFi, fully-stocked kitchen, deck, fire pit, dock with grill and kayaks... Perfect for a weekend get-a-way or a long term rental. You will feel the charm the moment you arrive.
The three bedrooms are located upstairs with a full bath. There is a queen sized bed, full sized bed, and a cute children's room with 3 twin beds. Queen and twins are brand new and extremely comfortable mattresses. Downstairs you will find the library, fully-stocked kitchen, game hallway, sun porch and large family room with a half bathroom. At the rear of the house, the fantastic sun porch has a great view that leads out to the deck and fire pit (please keep them small!). A natural path leads down to the lake, where we enjoy 250' of lakefront shoreline, an awesome dock with a grill, 2 kayaks, inner tubes, and a hammock.
We are centrally located between Middlebury and Brandon, making everything possible and easily accessible including 2 grocery stores, nice restaurants, pharmacies, locals pubs, general stores, farmers markets, local shopping in charming Middlebury, wineries, breweries, a movie theatre, a golf course, amazing hikes and waterfalls in the national forest 1 mile away, and so much more.
The lakehouse is technically a 5 bedroom home, with 3 currently are being offered to guests, though you would have the home to yourself, of course. We can discuss using additional rooms if you have more guests. The house also has a garage, but it is recommended that guests park in the large circular driveway.
This is a very special home to myself and my family and is not for large parties, events, or spring break-type holidays. It is perfect for families (children are fine!) and couples looking to experience Vermont at its finest in a relaxing and serene location. The home stays cool in the summer but we do not have central AC. We do provide many fans for your convenience. Thanks for treating this special place as you would your own! We hope to meet you soon and share this magical place with you.

About the host
Hosted by Kate Middleton (not the Duchess...) :)

Hello everyone! We are artists and travelers that live in between VT and NY. Our home is so very special to us and we look forward to sharing it with you. Most visitors return because it is such a magical place, winter or summer. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
Why they chose this property
When we were looking for a family home we had a few different ideas on what it should be. We agreed on water, interesting acreage with character, and a home that felt both like VT (warm and inviting), but also fresh and clean and modern. We found our perfect home in the lakehouse.
What makes this property unique
Lots of space, very cool landscaping with huge boulders, a fire pit, gorgeous views, all the games and puzzles you could ever play and a serene location that allows for as much or as little activity as you would like. You wont want to leave!
