Welcome to Your New Happy Place
Don't just take our word for it, read the reviews (from another site):
''This was our 14th summer rental on the Cape and by far our favorite house.''
''Overall, best vacation rental I've experienced and highly recommended!''
''The house is fantastic and a perfect set up. Pictures really do not do it justice.''
The Map House is where fun lives and memories happen. A bright, air-conditioned sanctuary where generations gather around the kitchen counters, where friends reconnect over sunrise coffee, and where the paddles and flippers fly in the game room. This is the classic Cape, re-imagined for the modern family vacation.
Check out our video tour and see why guests call this their favorite house.
Sleep Like You Mean It
Forget cramped quarters and musty mattresses. Every bedroom features a queen bed with Tempurpedic-style comfort, while the two spacious upstairs rooms add twin beds for any configuration of sleeping arrangements your party needs. Generous closets. Full baths on both floors. Powerful a/c to keep you comfortable. We provide hypoallergenic pillows, coverlets, and cozy fleece blankets. Prefer your own linens? Bring them. Want the full luxury experience? Use our high thread-count sheets and spa-quality towels for a small added cleaning fee. (You'll want to pack beach towels though.)
Where the Fun Lives
Two outdoor escapes: A deck with a relaxing hot tub perfect for stargazing sessions and sunset cocktails. A patio with a fire pit where stories get told and s'mores get burned (in the best way).
The Game Room is legendary. Dedicated space. Tournament-worthy ping-pong and pool. An arcade Jaws pinball machine that'll have grandparents and grandkids equally obsessed. A massive smart TV for movie marathons when someone finally admits they're beached-out. Gigabit WiFi blankets the property (sadly, strong enough for that ''quick'' work Zoom that definitely could've been an email).
The kitchen is a home cook's dream. Five-burner gas range. Every gadget and tool you didn't know you needed. Automatic and French press for coffee how you like it. Space for everyone to help—or keep out of the way. (Fun fact: food made by guests here has been featured on The Today Show food blog.)
Outside? A Weber gas grill ready for steaks, fish, grilled veggies, whatever you crave. A large teak table for outdoor dining. The sprawling lawn with a rope swing, where kids can play cornhole or frisbee while adults claim the oversized hammock. A fire pit second only to a beach bonfire for evening fun or an impromptu cocktail party. And the fully enclosed, hot and cold water, open to the sky outdoor shower--the way they rinse off the sand and salt in heaven.
We've got beach chairs, boogie boards, and all the coastal essentials you'd otherwise have to schlep.
When Paradise Takes a Rain Check
Not that you'll hope for cloudy days, but if one arrives, your fun won't miss a beat. Two large Smart TVs loaded with streaming services. Alexa streams your music indoors or out, works as a kitchen-to-Game-Room intercom, and delivers weather, tide times, and dinner ideas. The game room, a cabinet bursting with board games and puzzles, a library of books to browse.
Location, Location, Perfection
You're on the convenient ocean side of Route 6, which locals know is the difference between ''easy beach access'' and ''another 10 minutes in traffic.'' Town center? Five minutes. The legendary Cape Cod Rail Trail? A four-minute pedal to the trailhead for 23 miles of scenic riding to Dennis or Chatham—no Route 6 navigation required.
Beaches everywhere. Minutes to Indian Neck bay beaches, your favorite ocean spot, or Wellfleet's stunning kettle ponds. Pile in the car and head to the Wellfleet Drive-In (7 minutes away) and its nostalgic double features under the stars. Summer also brings Wednesday night square dancing at the pier, theater, live music, art galleries, Pilates, beach yoga, and the kind of coastal culture that makes Wellfleet special.
Who's a Good Dog?
Dog families, we see you—we were you, suffering from too few excellent homes ready for Rover. Your well-behaved pup is welcome here for an additional fee (pending a conversation). The daily 8am dog party at Newcomb Hollow ocean beach will be your best friend's vacation highlight.
Charged & Ready (Literally)
EV or plug-in hybrid driver? We've got you covered with a Level 2 charger. Standard J1772 port compatibility, plus a Tesla adapter.
The Food Scene Deserves Its Own Vacation
Wellfleet takes eating seriously. Start mornings at PB Boulangerie with mouth-watering pastries that'll ruin you for other croissants, and that's just where you begin.
From flip flops to dress-up: Wicked Oyster's fresh catches for an occasion. Winslow's Tavern for elevated comfort food. Flying Fish for a wonderful family meal. Block & Tackle's smoky BBQ and super friendly staff. No-frills excellence at Moby Dick's. The Bookstore Cafe for bayside sunsets and unforgettable meals. Mac's Shack for raw bar and fine dining and Mac's at the Harbor for fast fare between excursions. Spinello's for take out Roman-style pizza with an amazing variety of toppings. PJ's for the Cape's best onion rings (fight us on this).
Sweet endings: A Nice Cream Stop (Emack & Bolio's heaven) and Gelato Joy's creative combos.
For home chefs: Hatch's Fish Market is your headquarters for live lobsters, smoked fish, incredible produce, and corn so sweet it's almost dessert. Want the absolute freshest scallops? Order right off the Isabel & Lilee day boat. Wednesday morning farmer's market near town center rounds out your options. Your well-equipped kitchen (and Weber grill) await your masterpieces.
The Map House is more than a rental. It's where your crew gathers, where traditions start, where ''one more night'' becomes the refrain of every vacation. This is where you belong this year. Our season runs May through October.
