Secluded mountain getaway!

Traveling with our 3 adult ‘kids’ was wonderful in this spacious mountain home! We loved sitting on the back porch and having not another soul around…so peaceful! Saw several deer! We would definitely stay again!

Perfect place to reset

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cabin. This was our second time staying here and just as great as the first. Location is secluded and serene, with short drive to Little Switzerland. Highly recommend.

Very nice getaway to the mountains. We enjoyed the quiet and the view was spectacular. Nice elevation for taking walks.

The owner was very helpful and responsive. The property and location was good. While not an issue for us, the property does not have a hot tub as listed. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the main bathroom,but no hot tub. That would not keep us from renting, but for some people it would so that is why I mention it.

Perfect Christmas Getaway

Awesome cabin with great owner communication. The view from the porch was great. The cabin was stocked with just about everything you would need. We spent alot of time in the game room playing pool, air hockey and watching a little tv. Quiet neighborhood with plenty of privacy. The paved road up was easy for a mountain road. We would def stay again

Great location

Close to Linville falls, South toe river and Mount Mitchell. Curt’s house was even better and more comfortable than the pictures show. We had a great Thanksgiving stay. Definitely would stay here again.

Great getaway

The pictures really don’t do it any justice! What a beautiful place! What a beautiful area! We have been going camping in the Spruce Pine area for over 16 years now. What a fantastic upgrade we made in staying at this home! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Amazing, secluded property

Very clean and cozy property. Located in a very secluded and gated community with all-asphalt access. Very spacious and great for relaxing and entertaining. This property is exactly what we were looking for as a getaway. Highly recommend!

Remote and Relaxing

The home was clean and as described. We had a great time at the home, driving through the mountains, enjoying the cool summer temperatures and starry nights, and playing tons of ping pong and pool. They had a great selection of DVD's and books and super comfy recliners in the living room. It is VERY remote, so plan on spending a good amount of time in the home and around the property. Cell service works great at the house (t-mobile), but not at all around the area - so make sure you write down directions to anywhere you want to go.

Great Getaway

We wanted a comfortable place for our families to gather and relax and this was it! Incredible views and spacious rooms. Due to temps did not get to enjoy the spacious decks- there are 2! Or the fire pit, but maybe next time! Curt was very accommodating and quick to respond throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this place!

Relaxing vacation in mountains

We loved our week-long stay in this wonderful house! It is very spacious, clean, has tons of natural light, well-equipped and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed and even more! This tranquil, elevated location is perfect for a cool-down break from summer heat. Remote but in a safe gated neighborhood; the road is sometimes steep and curvy but in great condition, all asphalt. Internet worked very well, but not every cell phone got signal there (Verizon worked fine) The house is within 1 hour driving from major attractions like Grandfather Mountain, Mt. Mitchell, Linville Falls and Linville Gorge, and just above 1 h to Ashville. Little Switzerland resort is 15 minutes away, and kid's favorite Emerald Village is less than 10 minutes drive. About 1 hour roundtrip hike right from the front door to beautiful Crabtree Falls ! Note: there is no door to separate basement from the main level living space, and obviously no door to the loft, so any noise travels from bottom level to top, and any sound can be heard between the loft and the bedroom below. It was not a problem for our small party, but might be a problem for a larger group with young children. The owner was easy to communicate and always responded immediately to answer our questions.

Amazing getaway!

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful spacious house. Kids loved climbing up the stairs in the back. Hot water, AC and fire place all worked great, no issues at all. We had a lot of fun BBQ at the covered porch. The pond area in the community is very nice too. Overall it’s an amazing getaway long weekend. Curt (host) response in no time, thank you very much!

Great trip

Great family trip. The house had plenty of space and amenities. Close to hiking, fishing and waterfalls. Bring your tubes to go down the south toe river! The photos on the listing do not do the cabin nor location justice. Would highly recommend.

Comfortable haven for relaxation!

Our family of adults enjoyed a much needed long weekend away during this coronavirus craziness! The reservation process and directions into the property went smoothly, the home was very well-appointed including a well-stocked kitchen to cook anything you'd like, and we had a real variety of things to do at the home. The weather ended up being wonderful so we enjoyed hiking and exploring nearby towns. Highly recommend renting this home!

Perfect mountain retreat!

This is a lovely family cabin that is in a gated community, yet very secluded and private. Upon arrival we found the home extremely clean and tidy and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking simple meals. The home has a great layout for families with several areas to gather in groups. The basement is perfect for the kids with air hockey and a television along with an extra sleeping area. The owner was available and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the area. Our family enjoyed the porch and found it to be the perfect place to reconnect.
