A kitchen described by prior guests as a "chef's dream". These are just a few of the amenities that you'll experience at The 407.

Located five minutes from Stowe Village and fifteen minutes from Stowe Mountain Lodge, The 407 offers all of the conveniences of being close to town while also providing a relaxing and less busy Vermont experience . Fully renovated in 2017, the home is equipped with the most modern of appliances as well as a variety of high end furnishings.

The floor plan is open, and includes a fully equipped chef's kitchen with a large island perfect for family gatherings while the living room has ample, comfortable seating to enjoy movies, games, or to simply sit by the wood stove fireplace. The formal dining room with Restoration Hardware furnishings seats up to 8 people. The screened in porch with its table and chairs is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktails as you look out over the Worcester Range. The second floor includes the Master Suite with canopy bed, built-in toddler bed, en suite bath, and gorgeous claw foot tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and two built-in twin size bunks perfect for children while the third bedroom has a queen bed. Also on the second floor is the laundry room, and full bathroom with shower which is shared by the second and third bedrooms.

The property, which can be viewed from the large wrap around porch, is expansive, includes tiered gardens and gorgeous views, walking paths throughout the property and a firepit for evening smores, cocktails and star gazing.

Amenities include Sonos speakers throughout the house, Apple TV with access to over 100 movies, Netflix, Apple TV, HBO and Amazon Prime both downstairs and in the Master Bedroom, Adirondack chairs on the porch as well as around the firepit, a telescope to view the most amazing of stars, Harry and Josh as well as Bumble Bee hair dryers, a seasonal garden with herbs and veggies for your picking, and top end kitchen utensils and appliances. Charging for electric cars and Tesla vehicles available within guest bay of garage.

Note that there is an apartment above the barn which is also available as a daily or weekly rental.

Beautiful house, amazing views, and convenient to attractions in Stowe. The house is very modern and comfortable with quality upgrades and finishes. The beds and bedding were very comfortable...probably the best bed I've slept in aside from my own. The owners checked in to ensure our stay was going well which was appreciated. I would definitely return without hesitation. We stayed in February; however, there is plenty to do and see in warmer months. If staying in the winter, ensure you have 4WD as the driveway is quite steep, but it was well maintained.

The Vermont You Dream About

If you're looking for an upscale getaway with beautiful views of the mountains, then this is where you want to be. This was our second visit and it was just as perfect. The home is close to Stowe, hiking trails, and restaurants; but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet we were looking for. Wonderful to work with Jasmin...we'll be back!

Beyond Our Expectations!

This is an amazing home! We were six adults who were in town for a week of skiing in Stowe. The mountain is a short drive away and passes by many restaurants for apres ski or dinner. The grocery store is even closer. Jasmin, the homeowner, was only a text away and was just wonderful. The house was very clean and well equipped. We can't wait for another visit next year!

Farm house near Stowe

This house is a beautiful old farm house with modern amenities. There is great hang out space with a lovely fireplace. The kitchen has been remodeled wtih a big island-great for cooking, hanging out, and eating meals. the beds are very comfortable. drive to mountain was about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic which is a bit far but the house was so quiet and away from all the hubbub, it was perfect for us. Jasmin was the perfect house-totally available for all questions. Will definitely stay here again!

Perfect Vermont Farmhouse

Beautiful home! Wonderful location. Just barely 5 minutes from the center of town. Wonderful communication with hosts. Very kind people that truly cared about our experience. Easy 10 minutes to the mountain (if no traffic). Master bedroom was a dream, fabulous mattress, great white linens, beautiful claw tub perfect for a soak after the mountain. We typically stay at Edson Hill, this house was the same price and so much more. Gourmet kitchen with every appliance you could possibly need. Great for a big group or couple. Will stay again for sure!!!!!

The most beautiful and elegant farmhouse!

Everything about our stay was magnificent. From the completely appointed kitchen to the property as a whole it was completely amazing. The drive to Stowe was just close to drive in to ski but far enough for us to enjoy the peaceful and quiet property. Very safe and beautiful. The property was decorated beautifully with a tree and other decorations. We greatly appreciated this added luxury. Bedding was beautiful. Fireplace worked well with enough firewood. Almost hesitant to write all this just because we will definitely return! Thank you Jasmin for being such a gracious host!

Heaven for one day and night!

Dear Jasmin, Thanks so much for accommodating my last minute request to stay at your wonderful home. After being there with friends a few years ago, I love the upgrades that you made and it was absolutely wonderful staying at 407 Carroll Mountain Lane. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how much my sister and I enjoyed all the wonderful features of the house-fantastic and well equipped kitchen, great games, Sonos and those TVs! It was just incredible to pull down Carroll Mountain Lane and into the driveway to find those wonderful Adirondack chairs sitting on the porch and by the fire pit. You won't want to leave!

My husband and I and our Aussie dog Maggie spent an absolutely perfect week in this beautiful house. The property is a dream. The location is so private with a lovely view and still close enough to all Stowe has to offer. Everything in the house is quality and set up for guests to enjoy. Towels, bedding, appliances etc, all quality. The host is readily available should you need anything. We were lucky enough to spend a week and we did not want to leave. Since this house is dog friendly, having our sweet Maggie with us made our stay even better! We loved the space and comfortable layout but If you like to travel with a few friends this is a great house. Plenty of room for all and a GREAT kitchen for all those chefs out there. The wrap around porch is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Thank you to the host for sharing this awesome property and your attention to detail.

Best house and host ever

Jasmine was truly the best host we have ever experienced and this house was amazing. We absolutely love Stowe. The home and location and views were just jaw dropping. Jasmine has made sure that you have absolutely every single item you might need to make you and your family feel comfortable in her home. We truly felt like we were in a home away from home the whole time and had one of the nicest vacations we’ve had in a long time. We were there with 3 adults, one toddler, and a dog and all loved it! Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

First Christmas in Vermont

This place was absolutely gorgeous! Extremely well appointed kitchen, all the necessary appliances etc. to make lovely holiday dinners. Only thing missing with some champagne glasses for our bubbly. Overall five star rating here just be aware that you definitely need four-wheel-drive to get in and out if there is a snow storm.

Amazing house, beautiful views, great location!

This home is just as beautiful in person as in the pictures. The owner has gone all out to make you comfortable, from soft blankets, sheets, and mattresses to little touches in every room like bath salts next to the soaking tub. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, with the giant oven, stove, island, and pantry with every high end appliance and gadget you will need. The property is beautiful, blissfully quiet with a wrap-around porch and screened in porch facing the mountains. Our dog loved walking the 4+ acre property, exploring the well maintained yard, woods, and creek. The location is just a few minutes into lower Stowe, and only about 20 minutes to Stowe Resort. With a Shaw’s just down the road, and tons of restaurant choices within a 15-min drive, you won’t lack for eating options!

Beautiful Well Appointed Home

A very well appointed and extremely comfortable stay for a small group. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including our small dog. It was so quiet and so peaceful. The owners didn’t overlook any detail to make the stay magical. We did get stuck in our 4WD SUV trying to drive up the road after 4” of snow. The road isn’t plowed regularly and is quite steep in spots. For visitors in the winter be aware it is not an easy in/out during a snow storm and snow tires and 4WD is a must. Once the plow came through we didn’t have any further issues. We would absolutely love to stay again.

Cozy luxury

My family (2 adults, 2 teens 2 well behaved dogs) stayed in this lovely house for Thanksgiving week. I needed an escape from Covid and this house was just what the doctor ordered. The house had the most well appointed kitchen I have ever seen in a rental, the wood stove kept the house warm and cozy and the property was beautiful- straight out of a Potterybarn catalog! Jasmin was a perfect host and made sure we had everything needed. I would love to go back in the summer or once ski season starts.

Funny story. My husband I have been coming to Stowe and staying at the Stowe Mountain Lodge for years. About 10 years ago, I was introduced to VRBO, found this house, and fell in love. Regrettably, travel schedules were challenging and we couldn't find a time to accommodate renting this house. I, instead, found an opportunity to rent it for a corporate outing - which I did in the January time frame. Having fallen further in love with the property, I reached out to the owner to rent it for the Xmas break at the end of that year. The owner, a wonderful woman, shared that she would be happy to take my rental, but was giving thought to selling and couldn't guarantee that the new owners would accommodate the booking. To which I responded, "oh, you are thinking of selling. We would definitely be interested in chatting." Fast forward a year, and we are the proud owners of a this gorgeous farmhouse in Stowe, VT. One of the best decisions we've made!
