The cabin is in a lovely secluded area but still close to the park activities like the beach and dock area. It had a well stocked kitchen. The back porch was a wonderful place to have morning coffee or evening drinks. We noticed the whole cabin was dusty, cobwebs etc, and we opened the windows bc of the nice weather and the window screens and frames were very dirty
No hassle with booking or pre check-in documentation requirements. I just booked it and got a message from Tom with the door code. Simple instructions for check-out posted in the kitchen, too.The cottage was cozy and comfortable - very pretty. Very quiet, and the fire pit area is fenced in so we could let the dog roam free.We ended up cooking a lot because of limited dining-out options in the area, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Very peaceful and relaxing stay. Highly recommend.
This cabin was awesome place set in a wooded area. It gave us and our 2 yorkies plenty of room. There's a screen porch were you can see the lake.Host was great, and provide quick response.
Beautiful, calm, quiet and peaceful location. Close to town and parks and a wonderful place to just take a walk. I would definitely stay again. Hosts had excellent communication and very responsive.
We enjoyed are stay, the cabin was very nice and the owner Tom was very nice to deal with. I do have to say we were bummed about the muddy water to bathe and do laundry and dishes.

Thank you for your Feedback Brian! Our cottages are supplied by well water and we supply bottled water to ensure we have a clean water supply. We have changed the filter system and this will remedy the situation.
Very cute cabin. Everything you needed to enjoy your stay. Close enough for a day trip to the Columbus zoo. We will definitely return. Great communication with Tom !
Our trip was focused on Indian mounds in Ohio. This cabin was the perfect location for that trip. Easy to get around the area and an easy trip to Dayton. Cabin was clean with nice amenities. We loved the bottled water provided for coffee/tea and the fabulous fire pit in the yard. Made for lovely evenings by the fire.
We visited the area with our dog for a winter weekend R&R. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. We had a distant view of the lake. It was a short drive to the lake where we took our dog for walks. Really great communication with the owners. Highly recommended!
A cute cabin in the woods, has some quirks from a few creative DIY projects. Google Maps will not take you directly to the location of the cabin so it took some adventuring to find where we were supposed to be staying. It was an overall good experience .
Just what I needed for myself & my 2 dogs to relax. My unfamilarity with the streaming service prompted me to disconnect from my TV "addiction". The cabin's location was a perfect inbetween spot between Cincinnati & Springfield.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rather than staying at a boring hotel I looked and found my first air b and b. We were in Ohio to attend the national French Bulldog show. Two other cabins also were there for the same reason. It was wonderful to be able to cook our own meals and “get away from it all”
The kitchen was well appointed, with a lot of cooking essentials- a cariety of spices, utensils and even olive oil and cooking sprays. Next time I won’t have to bring so much!
We could have used some instructions on using certain things- the fireplace , the Keurig. The queen sized pull out bed in living room? Never did figure that one out. I just assumed that “sleeps 4” meant 2 adults in the bedroom and two children on the living room couch
we noted that there was no fire extinguisher and did not see any smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors
a slat on the vertical blinds at the patio door fell off soon after our arrival. I could tell it had been repaired before as there was tape on the slat. I did not try to fix it again
The overhead fan in the living room did not work. We trued the remote we found on the wall with no luck
The spotlights outside for the patio area appeared to be burned out. We tried multiple switches and never could get those lights on. It would have been nice to have the whole backyard illuminated, as the surface was not level. we tried to use the gas grill, but it never heated up sufficiently
Bottom line- we loved our stay

Thank you for the review Andrea we appreciate your feedback! In the name of brevity we have remedied all of these items and or clarified these instructions in the cabin. The smoke detector apparently had a low battery and was beeping and the prior guest removed it. Its been replaced with 2 10-year battery detectors to prevent this. Thank you again and come back soon!
We had a great stay. Everything pictured was accurate. The place was very clean, supplied with cooking utensils, and central AC that worked well. Back yard was fenced in for our dog. We had a few communications with the owners on various topics before we arrived, and they always responded quickly and offered to assist where possible. We would NOT hesitate to book here again. A very nice place.
We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It's very hidden, but we enjoyed that. It was clean and had everything we needed, plus a fenced yard for our dog. The trash panda is so cute and just hangs out on the tree in the back. There's no real view of the lake, too many trees. We did wish there would of been a path down but other wise we loved our stay.
This place is so absolutely perfect. If you want to relax and just enjoy, this is the place to go. We had 2 big dogs with us. The back is fenced in. It’s simply perfect. Loved the communication with owners. Wonderful people. We will definitely be back soon!!
