About this property

Historic Carolina Beach Cottage Across from Oceanfront & Screened Porch

This adorable cottage went from neglected to nurtured, and has turned into a little gem on the island. The beach access is right across the street (about 50 yards away). It has a coppertop roof, all new vinyl siding and a wraparound porch that is screened in, so you can people watch all day or enjoy relaxing on the 2 wicker couches.
The bedrooms boast a Queen bed each, plus a daybed. The walls in the living room have shiplap, the full size kitchen has floating shelves with subway tiles, and the baths have bead board, new vanities, and a full size washer dryer.
You have the whole lot to park cars, vans, boats, whatever. The Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar (the BEST restaurant/bar on a pier on the island) is right across the street. Thursday nights are always live music before the fireworks courtesy of the Town of Carolina Beach, and you can watch from the porch or view on the beach.

The house is cute and located within walking distance of the beach, restaurant and an ice cream shop. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed. The porch was awesome for relaxing. A good place to curl up with a book. We accidentally locked ourselves out and had to contact the host. She was very friendly and responsive. A lovely place to stay.

Great location, very close to the beach. Two good size bedrooms and two bathrooms. Great for all adult gatherings or two small families with young children. Sleeps 7 comfortably. So many things to do nearby. Very easy and quick communication with property management. Highly recommend!

This was such a great place to stay for our child’s first beach trip. The house was perfect with great access to the beach and spacious screened porch. We appreciated having the wagon to carry our belongings to the beach. The homeowners were very supportive and communicative! We hope to return again!

Small Boat Owner's Dream

One of few places on the island where you have AMPLE parking and can park your boat or RV. The outdoor shower is a great asset for summer sands. Great for a fun stay with 8 people. House is well stocked and the hosts are very responsive. I highly recommend!

Cutest Cottage

Such a cute little cottage across the street from our favorite spot (Tiki bar) in CB and many other things. Beach access close on either side of the property. Place was clean, well appointed, and reall had everything we needed. We loved hanging out on the screened porch at night listening to the waves and enjoying the ocean breezes.Hope we can visit again and again!

Amazing stay!!! The property is perfectly located and in a charming area of town! The greenway is close for running and biking! Host are quick on communicating! Tiki bar across the street has great drinks and fried shrimp. Granny’s kitchen has the best breakfast!

The house was comfortable and pretty. I liked the closed in porch and two bathrooms. I would like more handicapped accessible amenities such as handrails on the steps or a small ramp on one set of steps.

Steve, her devoted partner, is a Virginia native, and has an incredible ability to run a small company by day, and turn into construction guy by night. They have several VRBO properties on Pleasure Island, and both always enjoy talking to their guests, sharing best spots, and helping out with guests' stays.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for something else, then eyeballed this house on a listing. We stopped, looked, and felt something. But were just not able to commit. Then, after about 3 months, saw it was still there (there was a contract that fell through), and decided to go for it. We loved it because of it's proximity to Carolina Beach Boardwalk, and the great Ocean Grille and Tikki Bar across the street. It's rare to find a piece of property on a highly desired piece of land that we could afford. So we sunk blood, sweat, tears into the project, because we both knew of its potential. Just needed a good facelift, make-over - lipstick if you will! We're so happy to share with guests that come as families to enjoy the beautiful beaches.

What makes this property unique

I love the screened porch, because of the breezes, sounds, and people that shuffle by.
I love the modern and historic feel of the rooms. I love how close the home is to the beach, gas station, restaurants, boardwalk, fireworks, etc.....
