Newly Remodeled 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom! Quiet guest cottage with a private entrance is just an easy 4 minute walk to the Cedros Design District and a 6 to 8 minute walk to the beach or train station. From the train station, you can take the free shuttle to the Del Mar Racetrack during race season, or take the train to Old Town, Disneyland or Downtown San Diego. It’s also just a short walk to the farmers’ market, and dozens of restaurants and shops.

This immaculate attached cottage has Brazilian wood floors, ceiling fans in all bedrooms, a full kitchen with granite counter tops, new stainless steel appliances, and dishwasher. Also features 2 large flat screen LED TVs with digital channels. Cozy combo Dining/Living area with TV includes Roku with a Netflix subscription and hundreds of free streaming channels, and well as a Work space with a desk. Also has WiFi, gas BBQ, washer and dryer, and lots of closet space. (read FAQs for more details)

Great stay!

Our stay was just perfect! The location was convenient to so many restaurants as well as the beach. We also used the bikes almost every day. We highly recommend this lovely cottage to anyone visiting Solana Beach!

Great location in Solana Beach!

I didn't spend much time in the room, other than sleeping, because I was in town to visit family and friends. The owner's were great communicators, especially when there was a brief electrical outage. The beaches, restaurants and shops in the vicinity are all within walking distance and well....as a native of the area, Solana Beach is just great! I will look forward to staying there again on my next return to the area.

Cozy haven

Having lived in Del Mar for many years, my wife and I visit North County once or twice a year, and have never used Solana Beach as our base. We are very glad we stayed at Martha's cottage this time. The space was quiet, immaculate and very well appointed with every creature comfort in mind. We will be very happy to return on a future trip.

Solana Beach is a great place to relax.

This cottage was extremely clean with a great kitchen. The location close to the beach was nice, but parking was a challenge. We did not realize that the cottage was on an upper level, and that was a disappointment. Everything else was great. The proprietors were most cordial.

Six nights in Solano

There are always a few things you desire when renting a place for the first time: clean, quiet, comfortable and not having to deal with any issues. This rental was a delight, well maintained, very clean and an excellent bed. Only two small items that I would suggest is ice tray, and little better TV signal but neither will keep me from renting again!! Great restaurants within walking distance too. Thank you

A Gem Of A Location

This is a real find, my husband and I have spent about a month in Solana Beach and Del Mar for most of the last 13 years. Without a doubt this is the favorite location we have found and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You couldn’t ask for a more available and pleasant host who is very helpful and responds quickly. The entryway is private, large and a nice place to sit in the afternoon sun The unit is very nice, the furniture comfortable, layout functional and pleasant to be in. There is a full sized refrigerator and gas stove/oven as well as an assortment of cookware. We didn’t avail ourselves of it but there is also gas BBQ. The bedroom and kitchen/living room both have ceiling fans which is all the cooling you will likely need. The living room consistently catches a nice breeze which is very pleasant. The full-size washer and dryer are very handy if you’re on an extended stay. There are bikes and an assortment of beach toys, chairs, umbrella etc to keep you entertained. The location is very convenient, especially if you like walking neighborhoods and beaches; the hosts can help you out with recommendations. If you enjoy the outdoors you’re not likely to run out of things to do. This is an excellent choice for a vacation or business stay, I highly recommend it.

The unit is located in a quiet area just a block from Cedros, the main drag in Solana Beach, where you can find 2 good coffee shops and a few decent restaurants (overall Solana Beach is lacking in good restaurants, which is a shame). It is well-designed and super airy with plenty of light and no noise, and extremely comfortable I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful cottage near the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Martha's cottage! It was clean and comfortable and walking distance to the beach, stores and restaurants. We appreciated use of bikes to explore the area. Martha also gave great recommendations for local restaurants and trails.

Very pleasant property

My husband and I stayed for 10 days. and found the space very comfortable....nice kitchen appliances. The decor is well done...vrbo pictures were very accurate . And the location is very convenient for walking (Cedros Ave.) and visiting nearby communities .

Delightful escape from Midwest winter

Great location for walking to beach, shops, and restaurants and for driving to explore north and south. Nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed. Hosts were nice, friendly people.

Great great away!

My husband and I were in town to visit family. The cottage was conveniently located, very well equipped, very clean and very quiet. The property manager and her husband are onsite and welcomed us when we arrived late Friday night to be sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking down to Peet’s for coffee. The beach was short walk from there. The weather was perfect. It was a great weekend! Looking forward to visiting again. Thanks you!
