Experience the charm of this beautifully renovated 4-bedroom, 2-bath lakeside retreat from the 1990s. Nestled on nearly an acre of lush land, it boasts a central AC/heat system and exquisite tile flooring throughout the lower level. The kitchen is adorned with modern appliances and elegant granite countertops, complemented by three sliding glass doors that frame breathtaking sunset vistas over the lake.

Upstairs, a cozy bedroom features a private balcony with panoramic westward views and a queen-size bed. Downstairs, three additional bedrooms offer luxurious sleeping arrangements: one with a king bed, another with a full-sized bed, and a third with two twin beds. For added versatility, the living room includes a couch and a spacious futon, secluded by graceful double French doors.

Step outside onto the screened porch, where two ceiling fans, a gas grill, and a dining table for 6-8 provide an ideal setting for lakeside barbecues and sunset gatherings. Beyond the porch lies a sprawling backyard adorned with three majestic oak trees draped in Spanish moss, a fire pit, and direct access to the lake's natural shoreline spanning 90 feet. Although three sides of the yard are fenced, the waterfront remains open and serene.

The property features a 199-foot dock with two slips and a nearby boat ramp, ensuring effortless access for boating enthusiasts. At the end of the dock, a screened boat house furnished with chairs offers yet another delightful venue to savor the sunset or indulge in a spot of fishing. Guests are encouraged to bring their own watercraft or utilize the open boat slip.

The local grocery, Publix is 6 miles away (either north to Sebring or south to Lake Placid).8 area golf courses. 2 wineries 5 min away.
All race event weekends Porsche, Ferrari, SCCA., NASA, etc., or 12 hr. race, only 9 min (no traffic) from Sebring Raceway. Motorcycles & jet skis welcome.

Sebring Accomodation

Great property close to Sebring Raceway. Property was comfortable and clean. Host provided plenty of information leading up to our stay. We would stay here again.

The home was not very clean. Found a spoon in the drawer that was greasy. Cameras all over the place in the yard gave me creeps like someone was spying on us. The door lock code didn't work and gave us problems, then started working on its own like someone was controlling it. The people next door might be the owners and seem to be very interested in whats happening. The beds were very firm, so hard it seems unnatural. No fish in the lake, which was why we went there. The view was great and we saw some deer in the yard. Overall we didn't like it.

Snowball in Sebring

My wife and our fur baby stayed here for 2 1/2 months and really enjoyed our stay. Yes the house could use some updates but we were comfortable and the fenced in front and back yards gave our Aussie/Doodle lots of room to romp.Andre was tremendous to deal with.

Good family reunion place

The house was perfect for our family reunion, plenty of places to sleep, large yard for fun games and a nice indoor area for cooking and eating. We enjoyed watching sunsets in the screened room out on the dock with no bugs! The house is well maintained and very comfortable.

Great place as an alternative to the hotels in Sebring. Very easy drive to the track and very quiet for a good nights rest. Nice and clean with plenty of towels. Excellent communication with the owner, and they respond very quickly.

Paradise every day

We enjoyed the beauty of the lake and all the flowers and wildlife. The neighborhood was mostly quiet and the weather beautiful. The screened in porch was enjoyed by all, including the pets.

Good Ole Country Home

The property with its huge open yard, long dock and screened in dock house was so relaxing and beautiful! The house is exactly as described with a good ole country home feeling. We had 2 work vehicles and there was plenty of room to park for everyone, which is often a challenge. There were mostly females in our group and even this far out in the country we felt very safe here. Thank you!

Excellent location to the track - nice change from hotels

I book hotels for several large groups - there are always a few who prefer to escape the hotels when they can. We were in Sebring, FL for the 12 Hour event... Hotels are ridiculously priced and impossible to get so, I opted for this property. My travelers really liked it, they loved being able to fish, kick back and relax after a long day at the track... It worked great and saved us a small fortune in hotel costs. The owner is quick to respond, pleasant and aims to please.

feels like home

We absolutely loved the home, the yard was so beautiful and had plenty of room for outside activities. Each room was cozy and had tons of room. What I loved about this home was that it had a home feeling and had plenty of things to accommodate a large family. One down fall is the lolly pads and weeds near the dock it was a bit much and a little scary, but once you past that the beautiful lake is there to enjoy while sitting in the screen in dock. Overall it was a great stay and would love to do it again.

Beautiful Cottage & Property on Lake Josephine

My husband and I were looking for a lake cottage in the Sebring area where we could relax with our two dogs, and this was a perfect find! The cottage is right on Lake Josephine and sets on a huge, beautiful lot that is totally fenced in (which was great for our dogs). The cottage itself had everything that we needed and was very clean, spacious and well kept. We absolutely loved spending every evening at the end of the pier (which had a screened enclosure) watching the gorgeous sunsets. The lake itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the surrounding cottages are very nice and well kept. The location was perfect as well, as we were within 5 to 10 miles of grocery stores, restaurants, shopping malls, movie theatre, library, Sebring International Raceway, and the Highlands Hammock State Park. All in all, it was one of the best and most relaxing vacations that we have ever had, and Don & Nancy were an absolute pleasure to deal with when making the arrangements. We will definitely stay there again!

Relaxing and comfortable

Overall had a nice Thanksgiving week stay with our extended family. Easy check in and out. Excellent WiFi and cold central A.C. Adequate stocked kitchen. Lots of extra towels and linens. Nice neighbors. The structure of this home and it's furnishings are not comfortable for tall or fat people. The screened in porch needs repair. No dead bolt on outside door. One twin bed was broken and the upstairs mattress desperatly needs replaced. Couldn't fish well because too many lilly pads around the dock. I was a tad disappointed especially because the previous reviews were outstanding.

A little TLC needed

Where to begin, the first day the water heater died but was fixed within a reasonable amount of time, then the city water feed broke so no water at all, but was fixed in reasonable amount of time. The house is kinda cramped with the king in the master bedroom not leaving much room to get around. The screens on the dock and the back deck were punched out so it made them unusable, but there were fixed a day before we left. Only one of the bedrooms had a TV. The front door jamb blew out but again was fixed so we could lock the door. The photos on line did not truly represent the property, but with some TLC and clean up it wouldn't be too bad. On the up side it was a nice quiet neighborhood with a nice view of the lake. The beds were comfy and there the A/C blew cold, This property needs to update the photos and do some landscaping. With all the problems the owners did offer us a few extra days for free, but we could only stay one due to the fact we had to be back up north.

Great lake front house.

Sitting at the edge of a beautiful lake this house does not disappoint. 4 bedrooms with many porches off each side of the house. Great location to stay at if going to Sebring Raceway.

Nice but…

The location is really nice, but for the price the accommodations were not great. It felt like staying at a friend’s vacation home. The location is beautiful though. A portion of the family was planning on staying ended up staying at a local hotel instead. Anyways, underwhelmed and wish we just all stayed at a hotel.

Me and three others were in town this past weekend for a Spartan Race being held nearby. This house was about ten minutes from the venue and BEAUTIFUL. Loved it. 10/10 would rent again

Exactly what we were looking for

A very nice few days on the lake, is just what we needed. We very much enjoyed our stay at this house on Lake Josephine. The owners were very cooperative with us having to change dates, due to a scheduling mix-up, even on short notice. And they made sure we had their contact info during our stay. Although we had no issues or questions, it was nice knowing they were available. The house had all the amenities we needed for comfort. We were able to enjoy our boat, with the boat launch very close by, and the sunsets were breathtaking! We hated to leave, but hope to return.

Love this lake house!!!

This was the second time that we stayed at this lake house and everything was perfect from start to finish! Nancy was so helpful and kind when we scheduled our reservation, and everything was nicely set up for us when we arrived. The area is so beautiful and peaceful, and it is so close to Sebring for restaurants, grocery stores, the Highlands Hammock State Park, and just about everything that you could possibly need. The large fenced in yard was a favorite for our dog! We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a nice, peaceful and relaxing lake house that doesn't have a lot of motor boat traffic. We will definitely be booking it again for our next vacation!

We live in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and Don is an engineer/general contractor and Kathryn is an artist. We orginally thought the house would be a great vacation house, but it seems it is a source of endless creative projects!

Why they chose this property

WE HAVE A SPECIAL FOR ALL RACE TEAMS, for the March 2022 race week the house will be rented for the week starting rent will be $ 2,900.00 - $ 3,200.00.
SUMMER WEEKENDS $84.00 a night per room, minimum 4 rooms to rent. Don is an amateur race car driver and loves the track. Kathryn is an artist and loves the natural lake views and peaceful atmosphere. She is originally from Indiana and is reminded of that Midwestern niceness of the people in the area.

What makes this property unique

We have plenty of room to entertain family and friends. After a noisy day at the track, or a busy day of sight seeing, it is wonderful to come 'home' to a quiet beautiful sunset over the lake. Life is good! Upstairs balcony makes for great star watching on the clear nights away from the big city lights.
