The view was incredible. The rest of the condo was not. The condo was dirty. Lots of dust and cobwebs everywhere. The coffe pot hadnt been cleaned out from the previous tenant. The t.v never would connect in order to watch anything. And finally there were roaches everywhere every night. If you got up to get water in the middle of the night you were welcomed by a colony of them. I will never use Vacasa again. There is no way they were not aware of these issues and must think its okay to cut corners.

Large 1 BR Condo with a great view
The view was impressive - also from inside. This 1BR is oversized and there is a little extra space. Had everything we needed for a great escape to Sugar Mountain. Note you go up the half flight up steps to the door. Once inside you go down a flight of steps with a turn in them to get to the unit. Washer and dryer are right across from your entry door (technically not in unit, don't think it matters...). Condo numbers on outside of building are extremely small and under the lights. We look forward to staying here again.
Nice condo in a good location for a ski weekend. A little dated but overall was clean with the exception of floors as they needed to be mopped. Unfortunately the ceilings are pretty thin and this being a downstairs unit, well, you can hear every footstep upstairs. It was pretty bad the fist night with tenants coming in after midnight and staying up until 2am. Just something to be aware of. All in all it was a good rental for the price and location

Just like Grandma's house (not in a good way)
I will start with saying this is a great location. Its very close to the slopes. The area is quiet and we felt safe. This condo was a bit like stepping back into the late 80's/ early 90's with its authentically retro decor. As someone who has had to replace 3 of our 6 appliances in the past few years I'm genuinely impressed that the appliances still work; they've really gotten their $ worth! I will say, this is not the place to stay if you're looking for a clean or modern aesthetic. This condo gets the job done if you're looking for a safe warm place to lay your head, but if your standards are higher than that I would look elsewhere.
The heater never works , fireplace didn’t work either; there aren’t extra blankets or pillows after calling twice to the customer services and wait four hours to see if the house heats up we decided to leave
Worse experience ever

Don’t let looks fool you
This place looks super cute on pictures. Then you arrive to only realize, they give you part of the address. This is a 2 unit building, you’re in the bottom unit and you can hear every single movement from those above you all day and all night. Washer and dryer are shared….eww! The home is so old, everything is dated to the 80’s and uncomfortable. If you plan to never leave the slopes, it’s perfect. If you plan to go back, cook or relax, move on. The big whirlpool tube advertised, the hot water to this tub is on another water line. By the time the water hits the jets, it’s an ice bucket. The tub is beyond old, the grout looked as if it’s fallen out and a poor job was done to replace it. The shower and all its gold touches were outdated and the mold growing around the door was disturbing to a neat freak like myself.
I’d never stay here again. Bring your own blankets. Bring your own pillows.
Remember when you get there, go to the downstairs unit. It will save you a lot of time looking since the unit says 200 on it and not the address provided.
We enjoyed our short stay at Sugar Mountain. The view was breathtaking. We loved the beautiful sunsets we saw during our stay. Check in was easy. The condo was the perfect for 2 people.

Uncomfortable
Jacuzzi tub didn’t work and took overnight to drain the cold water it filled up with. Shower was tiny but the water was hot. One of the neighbors parked their car directly in front of the stairs so it was hard to physically walk in/out. One of the living room chairs was terribly uncomfortable which isn’t a big deal, we just sat somewhere else. Overall just felt like less than what we paid for.

Great cozy place
We came for a last minute trip just my husband and I. We loved the place it was so cozy and just perfect for us! Super clean!
The best part of the place was the view from the balcony! It does not do it justice . The place itself is a Lil dated but overall good. We enjoyed staying here. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars was because we were not informed prior to our arrival that the main living room tv was not working. We informed vacasa and vacasa let us know that the property manager knew before hand but yet didn't let us know. No one would bring us a new one and would not fix the problem. We reached out to the property manager and no response back from them.
The best thing about this property is the beautiful view looking over a valley toward Beech Mountain. Also, the neighborhood up on Sugar Mountain is very quiet and peaceful with many birds to keep you entertained. It is a convenient location close to Lowes supermarket, The Pedalin' Pig for delicious BBQ and to Banner Elk for more restaurants. Hiking is also close within a half hour to hour drive to many great hikes. A short drive up to Grandfather Mountain and it's magnificent views!
The condo itself is of late 1980's vintage and could use some updating. It was clean but there were things that needed to be addressed. The toilet seat needs to be replaced (old and peeling paint), the couch and matching checkered chair need to have their upholstery cleaned to freshen them up, the king size mattress, pillows and bedding need to be replaced and the throws in the chest located in living room need to be laundered. We realize these issues are outside of the maid's control. They are doing the best job they can with what there is to work with.

We made it our home.
We rented the place during the winter it was me and my two kids. The place had to have a tub and the fireplace, so we can warm up after a long day skiing. The tub with bubbles was amazing when we came home and needed to relax. When it comes down to it we can make anything our home. About the cleanliness.....it wasn’t as clean as I would like it to be. Yes the place is old and old cannot be as clean as new, but on a couch there were some white peaces of fluff, they were some dirty dishes in the cabinets. I had some extra blankets so I threw it over the couch which stayed in place for the duration of our stay. I also cleaned all of the dishes prior to using it. Other than that the place is nice and it is conveniently located close to a ski slopes.
The condo was great. Plenty of room for the two of us. The view is amazing, even at night with Beech Mountain lit up on front of you. Nice little porch to enjoy that view or you can see it from the livingroom windows once it's so cold to sit outside. The bed was comfy and warm.
Only drawback was the common area need a good cleaning. There was a dirty diaper on the landing. The kitchen fluorescent light needs to have the cover removed and given a good cleaning. The dishwasher looked to be falling out of the cabinet. Some attention to detail with cleaning would get this place 5 stars.
