We stayed for several days as a family and it was wonderful from start to finish. Stacey makes one feel at home with lots of special touches, and the house and surrounding gardens and countryside are beyond beautiful. We especially enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen with all that’s required to have family and friends to dinner; a fire pit outside by the swimming pond, and Adirondack chairs on a hillside overlooking the mountains.
Our stay at Leading Fields was just what we needed -- so peaceful and beautiful. You have an amazing property with beautiful trails and it's ever so special to have the labyrinth on the land. Our long weekend getaway nurtured our souls and we thank you. with gratitude, L&K
The property and house were both spectacular, with amazing artwork and statues all around. The house was clean, filled with antiques, and much larger than the pictures would convey. Would definitely stay here again!
A friend told me about Stacey's place in the fall and I couldn't wait to experience the property. Exceeded expectations. Two feet of snow fell a couple of days before our visit and the fields were blanketed in white, creating an idyllic winter scene. Each morning we were treated to a storybook scene through a wall of windows in the kitchen. The house has been updated recently and it looks amazing. I feel like we might have been one of the first guests after the work was completed, it was that pristine. The temperature was minus 20 some nights but the house was warm and cozy, with no drafts. The kitchen is perfect for those who want to cook up a storm, we did. I could go on and on. I was up with my family for a long ski weekend. Everyone loved it.
To top it all off, we were greeted by Elisa who made us a homemade apple pie. Still warm when we arrived. Now that is a first!
Can't wait to experience this place in the summer and fall when the colors are popping and the grounds are more roamable.
This is a very big, clean house, with a well-appointed kitchen and new bathrooms throughout. The only negative for us was that it was too far to Killington Mountain, about 40 minutes. Other than that, I would recommend this house.
Three friends and I had a wonderful stay at this private Vermont venue. Gorgeous views from all the windows in the house and the trails. No need to go anywhere else to hike - you can walk for miles without leaving the property. Our hosts Stacey, Elisa and Dave could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Looking forward to returning next year with my family.
This is by far one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever stayed, and so easy to get to. The secluded, well-appointed and extremely comfortable home is set in the most stunning gardens and fields. The labyrinth is perfect, as are the views of the mountains and the eclectic sculpture created by the owner’s grandmother. While you feel a million miles away from everything, the quaint town center is just 10 minutes away, with lovely shops and restaurants. Truly a must-return spot for my family.
We had an wonderful stay. Stacey has made this lovely Vermont home such a wonderful place to rest, relax, restore, and enjoy a stunning setting in the Vermont countryside. We will be back without a doubt!
Our family enjoyed spending a wonderful New Years together at Leading Fields! This home is lovely with comfortable rooms and beautiful views of the property. We enjoyed hiking and relaxing and being within a few minutes of Woodstock and S Six for skiing! Hope to make it back to experience other seasons!
Thank you!
The house and land are so beautiful and quiet, but very easy access to town. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful. Will totally be back! Highly recommend!
Large home with privacy in the mountains. Very restful area. Yet, close to Woodstock. Everybody slept well in cosy beds. All possible amenities included. For sure, we will come back.

About the host
Hosted by Stacey Gerrish
I am the third generation owner. I have a career as a professional skier in Colorado and spend my off time in Vermont.
Why they chose this property
This was my grandparents home since 1965 and was never rented to anyone. I took over the property after the passing of my mom and my grandmother. To enable me to keep the property going I made the choice to rent it out to people looking for a peaceful experience. My family cemetery is located on the property, it's a special place to be appreciated.
What makes this property unique
This is a family estate, and unique experience to stay and enjoy the grounds. The home and grounds are meticulously maintained.
