We absolutely love this cozy cottage in Estes Park! This was our third time staying here, and it just keeps getting better. The location is perfect—just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and close to town, yet peaceful and quiet. One of the best parts? Elk wandered through the yard every single day—it felt like a little slice of mountain magic. The cottage is always clean, comfortable, and has everything we need for a relaxing getaway. It truly feels like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back again!
We are two 75+ travelers who were coming for there full days of hiking. The cabin was incredibly located near the Park entrance and had groceries and restaurants near by so all we had to do was settle in, lace on our hiring shoes and get going.
We loved our stay! The cabin is a cute little place with character. Great location to RMNP and downtown Estes Park. The gas grill and stocked kitchen was perfect for all our needs.
Nice location for access to Rocky Mountain National Park. Cabin was just as advertised and had everything we needed. Three great days in the mountains, just what we wanted!
This was our 2nd time staying here. We love the little cabin and it has everything we needed. Also its so close to everything. Its always super clean. We will be back again!
The cabin was very clean, nicely appointed and accommodating to a family staying with their dog. The space is quiet and peaceful, and conveniently located with a short drive to everything in and around Estes Park. It was pretty cool too having wild elk pass through the property.

Pleasant Stay
There was a problem with the initial cabin we had booked, upon arrival I called and the owners/managers were very prompt and helpful about rectifying the situation. Cabins could use a little more cleaning and the beds are a little uncomfortable, but overall a good stay I would more than likely return.
As described in the property listing. Close to all things Estes Park. Good value for the money. We appreciated the grill and enjoyed the wildlife each morning. Thanks!
The Sheriff's House was the perfect little cabin. It had everything I needed for a cozy stay in Estes Park. The cabin is situated in a quiet neighborhood and is close to Rocky Mountain National Park and a short distance from grocers, local restaurants and the best scenic coffee house, Coffee on the Rocks. Elk visited the cabin grounds most every day, which made for a special, peaceful getaway. I will definitely stay at the Sheriff's House when I return to Estes Park.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay and will certainly come back again in the future! The cabin was clean, quiet and perfect for my husband and I and our dog. I felt the cost was very reasonable, and cheaper than a hotel. Plus we could cook our meals ourselves. It was great, I just wish we could have stayed longer this year!
We had a nice stay. Road noise a little loud. No regular coffee in cabin only decaf
Transition between flooring living to kitchen needs a transition piece son stubbed his toes.
Nice cabin clean and cozy
Would stay again
Thank you

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
not very clean, dishes dirty in the cupboards, only 18" corner closet rod with 4 hangers and NO place to hang coats, microwave sounds like an old tractor ready to blow, window blinds broken, made a few requests which were ignored without explanation, no housekeeping in 8 day stay
Cabin is small and cozy. Says it sleeps 4 but Iwouldnt recommend more than 2 people overnighting there. We had 2 adults and 2 small dogs; I cannot imagine what it would be like with 4 adults inside! The setting was pleasant. Deer and wild turkeys visited casually. Keep your dogs on a leash. It was fairly quiet but for traffic on the adjacent street and neighboring barking dogs.
Cabin was clean. Kitchen items were provided.
. Having had a stroke earlier, it would have been beneficial to have a shower chair and grab bars. I was happy to see it was a walk-in shower which wasn't specified in the marketing info.I selected this cabin based on photos showing no front steps and being one story.Brought our own shower chair and suction cup grab bars.
It’s a small cabin but there is plenty of room for two adults. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable bed and good pillows. RMNP is very close so we were able to come back mid-day to relax and go back to the park in the afternoon. Great location.
I loved staying at the Sheriff’s House with my partner the past couple of days! The cabin is quite small but suited our needs perfectly. The sofa bed/couch is a little uncomfortable to sit on, but it was very cute. Nice to have a fully functional kitchen for meals. The provided dish ware and toiletries were more than adequate; the only thing missing was a sponge to do dishes with. It would have been nice to have a small broom and dust pan just to clean up dirt that is inevitably tracked in due to the dirt road. So nice to get away for a couple of days and I would definitely stay here again!
It was fine. Need a rug inside the front door for boots and shoes. Used an old towel I had for the dog. Directions for the TV, etc would be helpful, as well as a stopper for the kitchen sink(hard to do dishes). Didn't have a coffee pot, but someone dropped one off shortly after I called.
Only downside to the stay was that the cold caused some frozen pipes, making for no hot water, but all the folks that we spoke to at the management company were responsive , pleasant, and did their best to address it!
This simple mountain cabin was all my husband and our furry kids needed for the week. It was the perfect driving distance to downtown but also in its own little quiet oasis at night! The cabin isn’t anything fancy, but it has all the little touches to make you feel right at home! The kitchen has everything you need, the bathroom has plenty of towels and the bed is very comfy with great windows for lighting and for you to see the wildlife in the morning when you wake up. We loved our stay here!
