The sweetest apartment in town!
The Almond Biscuit apartment is on top of one of the oldest Pastry Shops in Porto Historic center - Primar Confectionery (1946) -, where you can have your breakfast included at the price.

It is also part of a restored building dated 1830, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage! It now a completely renovated apartment, keeping the beautiful architecture details that makes the building so special and unique.

Large, charming and sunny space with 50m2. A large bed room and a convertible sofa bed on the living room makes it a comfortable place for 2 where can accommodate 3. Big bathroom. Linen and bed sheets are provide. Kitchen with all the necessary equipment for cooking during a short stay.
Balcony where you can enjoy a fantastic view from one of the most beautiful squares in Porto city, either it's a sunny day or a typical Porto´s fog day!

It is a very central apartment with double glazing Windows but it is possible to have some noise, especially during weekends and city parties.

Free wifi.
Portable speaker that allows listening to music from smart phone, tablet and laptop.


The Almond Biscuit is a charming and beautiful apartment located in the heart of historic Porto city. From the balcony you can admire the famous Lions Square, Carmo Church and Carmelite Church and you can also spot the famous Lello Bookshop on your right. The Tower of Clerics and the Portuguese Center of Photography are on your backside.

The quartier is not only surround by monuments, but also great restaurants, shops and traditional grocery's. A few 5 minutes walking from the Arts quarter Miguel Bombarda and 2 minutes walking from the quarter Paris Galleries full of trendy bars and the heart of Porto night spot. During weekends the quarter is full of street markets where you can find a little of every thing!
You can also take a beautiful 20 minutes walking till the riverside - Ribeira.

Several buses stop, including tourist bus, are just across the street and 10 minutes walking distance from subway and train station Sao Bento.

Loved my stay at the Almond Biscuit! Everything as advertised, perfect location. All 3 nights of my stay it was quite loud outside but that doesn’t bother me. They also do inform you in the listening to be forewarned on weekends. Will 100% return back soon!

Excellent service from the hostess, outstanding breakfast, very cute apartment, loved the location with all the restaurants and shops nearby. The only negative because of our age are all the stairs to get to the 4th floor of a 5 storey bldg. We still loved our stay very much.

Really great apartment that had everything we needed. Comfortable and nice furniture. Excellent hosts with an amazing bakery! This was within walking distance to all the things we wanted to see so the location was perfect. We definitely recommend others to stay!

Enjoyed very nice comfortable apartment in a location to explore by walking to riverfront churches parks restaurants walked over 7 miles one day you will be very comfortable and the breakfast is wonderful provided with apartment if you have a car be prepared to park underground and paid €25 per day

Excellent location and view of the historic “twin” churches. The only downside was the third floor of a building with high ceilings. We would strongly recommend a lower floor if you have substantial luggage or are more senior.

Almond Biscuit delight

We stayed 8 nights in the Almond Biscuit - 4th floor apartment with great views. The space was perfect for the 3 of us (2 adults and 11 year old kid). It offers easy access many sights & restaurants, and is very close to public transportation. It’s above a pastry shop!

Everything is as advertised except the Murphy single bed has become a comfortable sofa…4 feet long…making it hard to have 3 people. VRBO ad should be changed. Otherwise, just excellent..clean, safe, well equipped. Easy for us to recommend to a couple.

Perfect Porto Stay!

We had an apartment at the front…2 Lovely rooms overlooking the square and the cathedral…kitchen sitting room, bedroom and bathroom…everything we needed… very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to see. Elisa and Luis are wonderful hosts, very friendly, helpful and kind. The breakfasts are delicious! It was lovely trying the different kinds of breakfast and choosing an included cake from all the wonderful pastries and cakes the bakery sells. All in all…a fantastic experience! It made us love Porto even more!

Picturesque Porto

The Almond Biscuit apartment was absolutely perfect, comfortable and truly picturesque with the balcony view of the church, the square and the bustling activity all around! The entrance stairs from the bakery to the third floor showcased the beauty of the restored interior; a unique entrance to our experience in Porto staying over the bakery Primar. It is a perfect location for staging walking trips around the city. Luis and Elisa are superb hosts and very attentive to the needs of the guests as they run their busy bakery. Treats, pastries and breakfast were yummy and the basket left at the door on Saturday night, a lovely breakfast picnic for Sunday! Looking forward to returning to Porto and staying here again!!

Beautiful apartment in the heart of a fabulous, vibrant city.

We were made very welcome by Luis who showed us up to our apartment for a 4 night stay. The apartment is well maintained, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and has been sympathetically renovated with modern touches. It is much more spacious than the hotel rooms in the area, has better in room facilities and offers excellent value for those who want to be independent. Everything you could wish to see is within walking distance, you are surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants in a busy, bustling part of town, had we stayed closer to the river it is unlikely that we would have explored this area so much. The river is only a leisurely 20 mins downhill walk away staying here affords you the best opportunities to really see this amazing city, we loved it. Breakfast is a lovely touch, it is served until noon so no rushing after a late night !!! the gorgeous aromas from in the bakery tempt you towards a vast selection of delights - you can easily walk the calories off. There’s still lots for us to see so a return trip will definitely be happening.

The location was very convenient. We were able to walk everywhere. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was delicious. There was a lot of street noise at night. We also thought there were two beds, one being a fold out or Murphy bed. That was not the case. One of us slept on a small sofa.

Wonderful location for walking the city. The apartment looks out on the front of a beautiful church with accompanying sounds from the fountain in the plaza. We got a kick out of watching the many pigeons and seagulls. The hosts include a most fabulous breakfast every day. The accommodations were comfortable and nicely appointed. You will get your exercise because you have to climb three flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but it is a good introduction to the stairs you will find exploring the city.

Wonderful stay!

Great central location for walkability. A very large apartment with A/C! Having the bakery downstairs with included breakfast was also amazing and the portion size was so generous! Only element to keep in mind, it IS centrally located with nearby late night restaurants and bars so especially on weekend nights, it can be noisy till 2am but, even so, it just felt authentic to the city so just bring ear plugs or a sound machine if you're a light sleeper.

Séjour très agréable

La situation géographique de l'appartement est idéale. La vue sur les églises est très bien, le petit déjeuner de qualité. L'accueil des Portugais est vraiment sympathique. Porto est une ville charmante, classée par l'UNESCO, avec de nombreux parcs et en plein devenir. Les ponts sur le Douro est un bel exploit architectural. La journée dans le haut Douro est une belle escapade et permet d'appréhender l'ampleur des vignobles de Porto. Une belle escapade de 5 jours.

The only negatives were having to schlep our bags up three flights of stairs and the fact that the code was not properly programed to the door to the apartment requiring several trips up and down those stairs. All else was great.Hosts were gracious and the bakery an added treat! Location was terrific!

Central location close to everything

The apartment was spotless and well equipped. Great location to walk to all the sites. Only drawbacks were noisy college students very late at night due to university next store but it is a minor blio. Luis & Elisa were easy to communicate with and the breakfast included every morning in their restaurant downstairs was delicious!
