Was a beautiful home with a beautiful view actually felt blessed to be able to stay there. The owner was an amazing lady was very thoughtful. We had an amazing time.
We had such a wonderful time. Great view and very comfortable. We made full use of the kitchen to prepare meals. Everything was clean and Cheryl was a great host. We would definitely stay again!
This is a beautiful location with amazing view amazing views. The road leading up to the property is very narrow but we navigated it slowly and enjoyed the adventure.
Our family, from Virginia, could not get over the beauty of the place. We were 9 people and we were all very comfortable.

Very Impressive Location!
It was just what we were looking for, and needed. A quiet, away from the world location, with the feel and the comforts of home.

You were wonderful guests Brian and took excellent care of the Estate. I do look forward to having you back any time......Thank you for your great review and I look forward to sharing the bear Cabin in Tahoe with you. You are guests that will always be welcomed.
Really a great property. Very cool location. Was off the beaten path and a little farther from where we were spending our days. But the one of a kind spot!
We enjoyed our stay. Cheryl is so welcoming and responsive. The place is big, clean and has everything. the view from the deck is breathtaking. Will definitely recommend it to my friends and family.
The property was well maintained with a great view in a secluded area. The home has rustic charm on a horse ranch. Plenty of wildlife we seen daily. The entrance road is a little tough for someone not used to narrow pass ways but also well maintained.
Pros: Good location with great view, plenty of space. Warm hostess and responsive. Cons: Furnishings are not updated. Weak WiFi due to remote location. Coffee maker not working.
This location and property was just what my friends and I needed. The views are stunning and the house soo spacious. It was calming and restful, perfect to rejuvenate. Would definitely recommend for a retreat getaway. Cheryl was amazing and in communication. I am grateful for the stay.
We stayed at this location because it was close to our daughter in Danville, as we live in Southern California. It was as advertised, beautiful views and accommodations. Absolutely, no complaints, as we were happy and satisfied. Cheryl was very professional and in contact to ensure that we were taken care of. We had a wonderful time.
We stayed here for the weekend for a book club getaway and had a great time. The host Cheryl was awesome, very accommodating and communicative when needed. There were a few hiccups outside of her control but she did her best to help. There was a major power outage for a good portion of our stay but she was great about letting us know what was going on, keeping us up to date and helping where she could. You can't beat the view and even during a power outage in a heat wave, it's location allowed for a slight breeze that kept it bearable.
The views from this house are magnificent. It felt like an aleph point that was somehow in Northern California, England, Ireland, and Italy. I loved looking at a book about castles of the world while on the couch overlooking the land, sunrise and sunset. My kids loved the hottub.
You can tell this home was a happy place with good vibes built into it. Hosts were communicative and helpful.
We would stay again. Thanks
Cheryl’s estate is nothing short of amazing! We absolutely loved our time spent. The home is so warm and inviting, and the scene around the property is spectacular with rolling hills and mountain views, whether you love the sunrise or sunset, you have it all! The kitchen as well appointed, and the home is so comfortable and cozy! We loved watching her horses, Roam in front of us and even got to see some wild turkeys, running around and some deer. Our family truly appreciated every ounce of our stay and working with Cheryl was a real pleasure. Thank you again and we will be back!
What a lovely long weekend we had with extended family on top of the world! This spacious house with sweeping views from kitchen, living- and dining rooms, (and Master bedroom) and from patio and deck was the perfect setting for our little family reunion. This property features quiet privacy within the gate of this mountain compound, with daily viewing of deer, and turkeys and horses and soaring birds of prey! With a short drive to the parking lot of the Morgan Territory Regional Preserve, we spent a memorable morning hiking trails during our visit. The WiFi worked well in this location: we were able to "Zoom" meet with other family that could not make the trip. The hot tub was a draw for the younger among us. All in all, we had a great time in a gorgeous spot!
Wonderful property. A few pros and cons:
1) Pro: Location/view are absolutely stunning
2) Con: A bit of a mouse problem, we were cleaning up quite a bit of feces and they even ate our food. Owner is trying to remediate, hope it goes better for the next guests
3) Pro: New hot tub! The view from it can not be beat
4) FYI: Long single lane road to property. Was a bit scary around the blind corners. Still worth it.
The views were incredible and while this property was in some ways a lovely home in the Livermore hills, there were many issues that impacted our comfort. Cleanliness could improve: fridge was dirty; dishes and kitchen supplies dusty requiring cleaning before use (with liquid hand soap; there was no liquid dish soap). We found mouse feces in the master bathroom. Blankets were stained or without covers.Other issues were plentiful. There were no curtains on any of the bedroom windows, so unless you bring an eye covering, you wake with the sunrise. The heating system in the bedroom wing was particularly problematic; the unit was extremely loud. The hot water situation was highly inconvenient, as we were intermittently unable to get hot water for showers. The hot tub, which we chose this particular property for, was cold on our first night, and there were no directions for use provided. Basic essentials, such as paper towels, dish towels, coffee grinder, and a kitchen recycling bin missing. No doors on one of the bedrooms, not mentioned in listing. Owners offered a gesture of check-in/check-out flexibility and use of their personal firewood, coffee and tea. After we enjoyed extra time on Sunday, taking in the views & wildlife from the hot-tub, several messages were waiting asking us to leave asap! We felt horrible. We appreciated the kind gestures, however we feel we must say the challenges and inconveniences we faced staying here were quite the adventure.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my mom’s 60th birthday with friends and family at this home! Cheryl was a great host and easy to communicate. If you stay here we highly recommend waking up for the sunrises!
The Gated Country Estate is a very unique opportunity for your lodging and event needs that cannot be matched in the San Francisco Bay area. We have the ability to host an event (weddings, corporate gatherings, family reunions), for an additional fee, while providing overnight lodging for up to 14 people when taking advantage of sofas. The expansive acreage, with its remarkable views, allows you to experience large estate living, as we are surrounded by more than 4700 acres of conservancy land. Our higher elevation, sometimes above the clouds, looks down across the East Bay area and it is breathtaking. Both daytime and night-time views take your breath away.
