The two (2) bedroom and two baths apartment is in Chueca, one of the nicest and trendiest neighborhoods in Madrid. Walk to the main street Gran Via. It's near the Prado the Thyssen and the Reina Sofia Museums, Puerta del Sol and Parque del Retiro. The Mercado de San Anton is at the end of our street. It's surrounded by wonderful places to have tapas and a glass of wine. You are going to Love the apartment and our location.

This was the perfect place to stay! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and there were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The apartment was perfect for us- plenty of room, well appointed and very clean. I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay while in Madrid.

Fantastic location

We enjoyed our short stay. Location is right in the middle of a very trendy area. Lots of restaurants and close to a Mercado. Apartment was very well stocked and clean. Can’t ask better.

Great location. Comfortable rooms. Plenty of space. Kitchen well equipped. A slight lack of natural light due to only having interior windows. No outside noise though, but some noise from other apartments.

Great location!

This place was in an excellent location. Close to a lot of major sites within walking distance. The neighborhood was perfect for restaurants, shopping, and coffee. The host was wonderful and we hope to come again soon!

Great Spot

This location is perfect. Walk to museums, Sol. Plaza Mayor, Retiro, Royal Palace. Groceries around the corner. And metro stop 3 minutes away. Communication with the host was excellent! The only downside is the couch could use a good cleaning or replacement. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great Location and Lovely Property

We enjoyed this apartment! The location was excellent. We dined at several local places that were just steps away. We were able to walk to most areas we were interested in. The property itself is lovely. Updated, spotless, and well equipped. We did wish there was more outside light through windows, but it wasn’t a major issue.

perfect spot in Madrid!

I would give this property five stars plus! Location just marvelous. Minutes from the subway and a wonderful market to stock up on everything you need. So many restaurants on the street in nine days we didn’t even scratch the surface of trying all of them.The apartment itself is remodeled And an excellent condition. Beautiful bathrooms, wonderful kitchen, amazing beds! Not a single negative! Would highly recommend it to anyone that wants an ideal location in Madrid! We were able to walk to museums and all of the attractions that were on our to do list!

Great location in Madrid!

This apartment is located in the Chueca area of Madrid. While it's within easy walking distance to the center of the city, it's much quieter and less busy and crowded. During our trip, one of our family members had a medical emergency and our host, Gorete, was a godsend! She provided information and support that was invaluable to us all - she truly went above and beyond and we will always have fond memories of Madrid because of her. As an FYI, there's a great little brunch spot right next door and, of course, several restaurants and grocery stores close by.

Cozy, comfortable and convenient sanctuary

Gorete’s apartment, conveniently located in Cheuca, more than met our needs. It is in a quiet building, internal facing so limited daylight and no street noise. Given the blistering heat outside, the cool and dark interiors were a welcomed feature. Mattresses and linens are high quality and fresh/newer. Furniture and decor are tasteful and contemporary. Communication with Gorete was friendly and early check in with Nisbeth was a breeze. Around the corner is Larroceria, a small paella restaurant with genial staff and the most delicious food from start to finish. Thank you for opening your apartment to us, we’d love to come back.

Idéale pour faire du lavage , lesBatteries de l’air climatisée du salon étaient en panne,Pas de savon pour le lave-vaisselle donc la vaisselle étaient sale lorsque nous sommes arrivées. La pédale de la poubelle de la salle de bain a l’entrée ne fonctionne pas et le pommeau de douche est cassé et le jet n’est pas maximum. Great location for Madrid exploration. Well-stocked apartment. Hosts Gorete and Nisbeth were available and communicative upon arrival and throughout our stay. The area is full of cafes, bars and restaurants suitable for all tastes. Can walk to main streets, attractions and metro stations, but still quiet enough to provide a respite from the hustle and bustle. The unit was exactly as advertised. We would stay again. Loved it!

This property is in the heart of Madrid. Steps away from shopping and restaurants. The apartment has everything you need including a washer and dryer. We had 4 adults and had plenty of space. Beds were comfortable. There is an elevator for luggage. We had a great stay and would use this apartment again to visit the area.

Great Place at great location

Our second visit in as many years, we were greeted nicely at checkin and totally enjoyed our stay in the clean and well furnish flat. We were two senior couple who visit Madrid routinely. Trendy Chueca has served us nicely these last 2 visits. Location relative to Gran Via ans other venues is excellent. Subway station near by.

Wonderful apt in great neighborhood

Loved this property. Nisbeth met us as expected. Even though my Spanish is not good and her English limited everything was adequately communicated. There were good eating choices close by and we walked to the prado easily. It was all charming

The apartment was great! Easy check in and very comfortable and clean! Our host was exceptional! Responded quickly to any questions and gave great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Lovely apartment in great location!

This apartment is wonderful and the location is terrific! My husband, adult daughters, and I were comfortable, and the place was clean and cozy. As others have commented, one nice feature is the quiet. There are a number of restaurants and a metro stop quite close to the apartment which is very convenient. We especially loved La Taberna Carmencita for a wonderful dinner (not inexpensive but worth it). The guidbook provided by the host was very helpful.There are a few things that can be improved: 1) one towel had dark stains all over it, and our fitted sheet had a small stain as well, so these should be replaced, 2) one of the lightswitch covers in the living room was broken, and most important, 3) although the guidebook says you can walk to the apartment from the Atocha train station in about 15 minutes, and it is actually 28 minutes (all 4 of us are active and fit and were walking quickly, only pulling small carry-on bags). Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but Gorete, the host messaged me that Nisbeth, the cleaning person had to go let guests into a different apartmen. We were racing there to meet her, and it was quite stressful wondering if we would be let in. Thankfully, we made it in time.Communication was a problem as Gorete didn't respond to my questions regarding transportation. She initially apologized for the delay, saying she had guests for brunch, but she never responded to my last message at all. This has never happened to us with VRBO before.
