Traditional Lake Tahoe home in a quiet neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac. Surrounded by National Forest land with endless hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Within walking distance of the North Upper Truckee River with great trout fishing and bordered by meadows. Just a 15-minute drive to some of South Lake Tahoe's best beaches (Pope, Camp Richardson, Baldwin, etc) and just over 4 miles to the Y shopping center with numerous restaurants, bars and shopping. Only 7 miles from Stateline where the casinos, fine dining and nightlife draw most of Lake Tahoe's visitors. In the winter months, ski/snowboard at either Heavenly Mountain Resort or Sierra at Tahoe, as the house sits 15-20 minutes from either resort. A perfect location for being close enough to all the attractions, yet far enough to maintain the secluded feel of a mountain home. Recently remodeled, featuring a combination for hardwood and tile flooring, granite countertops, and pine features throughout the house, which provide a very homey, cabin-like feel. Two decks, paving stone backyard and a hot tub make relaxing outside a joy, regardless of the everchanging Lake Tahoe weather.

Amazing House

The property was better than the pictures, every amenity you look for with a house vacation rental, well stocked with all supplies, great beds, great outdoor space, pool room, theater room and great host!

Very well kept home and quality stay. Awesome hosts! We forgot our coffee at home and Frances put a bag on our doorstep :) Great views and felt secluded. Would love to come and stay again!

Perfect

This was the perfect house for our group. Excellent for two families traveling together. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy, lots of games to play. Communication with owner was easy and quickly answered. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Great communication with owner. Great place and location. We were here for our wedding weekend with our family. Only down side was about 1/2 the dishes were dirty and the kitchen floor needed cleaning. I would highly recommend this place.

What a fabulous house. It is built very well and is super quiet. The listing was accurate, but it was better than advertised. Frances was very nice and accommodating. We will be back and highly recommend the property! Thanks Frances!!

Large house so everyone had a bed. Enjoyable hot tub. Fully stocked kitchen. Cool movie theater and bar area. Pool table. Neighbor kindly helped remove snow from driveway.

Beautiful, well-stocked, and perfect for a big group

From check-in to check-out, we enjoyed everything. It's beautiful and clean, with enough blankets, pillows, towels, and bedding for everyone to feel at home. The kitchen was wonderful, with essentials in the pantry (flour, oil, seasonings, sugar, coffee filters, etc.). We had some questions enroute when we were stopping to do the grocery, and Frances replied promptly to our inquiries. It's a much bigger space than the pictures depict, and there is room for everyone (we were 9 adults) to spread out or stay together. It was perfect for us, and we would love to come back.

Vast South Shore Home

The pictures don't she have vast and let very this home is. The owners were easy to get a hold of and very hospitable. This was a Christmas gift to my mom children and their families. Their comments were: this rocks! Awesome no place! I haven't been so relaxed in a long time! Overall it was roomy, comfortable l, and just what our family needed for the Holidays!

Property with All the Amenities

This property has all the amenities you could possibly want to host a family in comfort and style. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and baking implements. What isn’t stored there can be found in the large walk-in pantry. While the refrigerator space was limited, there are wine and drinks coolers in both the kitchen and in the bar area at one end of the theater room. We celebrated our 60th anniversary as well as my 82nd birthday and my husband’s 85th birthday with our adult children and grandchildren.There was plenty of room to indulge the interests of everyone on the different levels and a comfortable gathering space in the living area on the top floor for all 9 of us. However, I would caution those with elderly guests that it may be difficult to navigate the 3 floors to access all areas. I am slightly disabled and stayed on the upper floor which contained the master and 2 bedrooms, the kitchen, dining room, living room with tv and DVD player, and outside deck so was content to “live” on the top floor. Also, we have not encountered such an accommodating host as Frances in other VRBO rentals we have used.

The house was amazing. I came to Tahoe with the intention of proposing to my girlfriend. After Frances gave me some great ideas on places to pop the question. I ended up settling with using the house and the backyard. The house has an amazing view overlooking the forest. Something my GF loves. It's located in a quiet culdesac with super nice neighbors. There is plenty of space for anyone looking to be separated. The theater room is awesome. Has a cool little bar and bathroom not the same floor with direct access to the backyard. If you want to splurge in the hot tub or BBQ or simply hang around the campfire pit. You have plenty of options to do so. If not, feel free to go up to the next floor and play some pool. Once upstairs you have plenty of room in the living/kitchen area. Great area to hang out and cook and watch some TV. There is also a good size deck with grill access. Plenty of Bedrooms and the Master Suite is HUGE! Great to relax and unwind from your day in Tahoe. There is a small trail directly located steps away from the house. This was great for the dogs to go for a walk. Overall, Amazing experience. I'd like to thank the Caro's for opening up their home and allowing me to propose in the backyard. This place will forever have a special place for our family and friends. Without a doubt, we will definitely be back!

Golf weekend

Came to Tahoe for a weekend gold outing and it did not disappoint. Accommodations were fantastic. Home had plenty of room and well stocked. Deck, pool table, and hot tub were nice amenities. Very happy with the stay.

Amazing property

We rented this property for my wedding for all my bridesmaids and spouses to stay for the weekend. It was very updated, clean, organized, and the owner was very responsive and even let us check in early since nobody was renting before us. The most surprising thing was the quality of kitchen items, usually pots and pans are cheap and old but this place had great appliances that I would love at my own place. Only downside is there is no AC, however that is common in Tahoe and we happened to be there during a heat wave so we struggled cooling down the house at night. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and we hope to be able to make a trip to Tahoe again soon and will definitely rent this place!

Beautiful Home/Getaway

This was a spur of the moment weekend trip with my family and it was just awesome. Frances was accommodating allowing me to bring my dogs with us which was a huge plus! The house is gorgeous and very clean and well stocked with anything you could need. The Jacuzzi bath with all the lotions and gels were perfect. The house is big enough to give everyone space if needed and the movie room with huge TV is super comfy for everyone to hang out. I could go on and on about how wonderful this hone was! We even made smores in the backyard with snow all around us! Frances thank you for making my grandson's first experience in the snow a huge success we will definitely be coming back!!

Heavenly dream ski vacation.

Beautiful house. Very clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Super friendly vibe. Beautiful decor. Jacuzzi situation fun. Pool table hang out room. Theatre room with fun bar. Pretty lighting outside in backyard. Skied everyday at heavenly. Easy to get to from house. Owner was super nice and helpful and kind. We had 4 adults and 4 teens. Everybody was happy. Wonderful week.

Amazing home!

This is a great stay for families or groups of adults. It's in a very quiet neighborhood, and right at the edge of a beautiful national forest. There is a nice river for peaceful hiking/wading just down the road. During the weekend there were very few people there - mostly just locals. The home is just beautiful. Beds are very comfortable, the living spaces are cozy, the hot tub was huge, and the pool table was put to good use over the weekend. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking gear, so no real reason to bring much of anything from home. There are *two* grills, one hooked to the natural gas lines, so a great place for BBQ. The only "downside" is that the kitchen is on the 3rd floor, so if you want to BBQ and eat outside on the (amazing) deck you have to cart everything down a couple of levels. Not a big deal and totally worth it. :) 5 stars, would stay again!

Thoroughly enjoyable

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pine Valley property. The home was spacious, well equipped and had beautiful forest views. The back yard was perfect for our group and dog. The “cave” access was a bit of a challenge for the older members of our group (outside entry only. The spiral staircase is for the young!), but the space was wonderful. Frances was responsive to a few minor issues (tv operation, questions of leftover food in fridge), and answered all concerns immediately even though she was out of state. The stairs were a bit of a challenge for our group, but this is common and expected when renting in Tahoe. The views make it an even trade-off. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing vacation.

Fabulous Tahoe retreat

Best Tahoe Accommodations Yet

Family and friends stayed for a weekend of mountain biking. The location is absolutely amazing with trails close by and a river shoreline that’s great for dogs, adults and kids. The backyard area looks out into trees which feels secluded and peaceful. End of a quiet culdesac with plenty of parking. The house was clean, large, and came with every amenity. We loved the hot tub, outdoor area with grill for dinners, big kitchen, pool table and movie theatre room for relaxing at the end of the day. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space for everyone. The check in process was easy and Frances met us to give us an overview of the property. We will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tahoe.
