Perfect waterfront cottage! We stayed for a week making memories and exploring the Schoodic Peninsula and MDI! 4 adults and 5 kids with space to spare. Beautiful views across the water, private beach with kayaks, everything we could want! Very quiet, private, clean, everything you would want in a rental! Perfect!

The property is even better in person! We had a great time with 4 adults and 5 children. We loved the view and enjoyed the cove every day :)It was a little longer than expected to get to bar harbor and mount dessert island for the most popular hikes. However, we found the schoodic peninsula to be a wonderful break from the crowds!Lunch on the wharf and Joe’s oysters were great!The hosts get you started with supplies, but be prepared to run to the store to grab necessities.

Awesome place to stay

Enjoyed Bar Harbor, Acadia, Corea and Corea Lobster boat tour. Sunrise was spectacular every morning at this property!

We had an amazing vacation and appreciate Ashley opening her home to us. Ashley was great about communication. What a beautiful view and location this house is at. I really appreciate Ashley's list of resources of all the fun things to do and local places to see. We went on the lobster boat tour in Corea with Capt. Dan and it was the most amazing experience. Being close to less busy Schoodic part of Acadia was such a gift!!! The house was great over all. Be aware when booking that there is the bare minimum in supplies, there were only 4 beach towels, only 1 garbage bag given and small amount of soap and cleaning supplies. This isn't a problem when you know so just be aware, because the closest grocery store is 20-30 mins away. The pots and pans are old/scratched but there were plenty of utensils and cooking supplies. Also be aware that there are water usage restrictions that are not in the listing. Overall we had an amazing experience and appreciate Ashley so much!

Ashley was amazing and extremely helpful. At time I felt I was bothering her with questions about the area however she truly did not mind answering any of them. Her and her husband have a beautiful property and we absolutely loved our stay. It was PERFECT!

Three Family Getaway

This property was nicely suited for a large group. There was plenty of comfortable space for two kids,5 and 10yrs, to play,17 yr old, had private space, and three adult couples, elbow room. The views were beautiful and the cove was a blast for kids and the younger adults. The cove access and the low handrailings on stairs were a little more difficult to navigate for the senior members. All and all a comfortable property with a great location!

Escape Downeast

Property accommodated our family of six very well. Beautiful view with amazing decks and porches. Handy to everything. Peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing! Several things need repairs; ie: front door lock, overhead fans, gas grill. Waterfront and fire pit were not accessible for older people or handicapped. Not publicized in literature. Property manager and owner were very responsive. Our family had a very wonderful time.

Thanks very much! Glad you all had a good time. Front door lock is in great shape and thanks for update on issues with fans, which our electrician has remedied. Our grill was indeed tired! The grill we purchased and delivered to you is new and in great shape:). Our waterfront is quite extensive, some of it is navigable for most. The cove is definitely not something I would recommend for all, if only because rocks can be slippery and it is a climb down a stone path. Your feedback about our new fire pit is much appreciated, and as a result, we have moved it to a much more accessible area. Please see pictures!

This is a dream location for a weeklong stay in Maine. The view from the porch alone is magical, but you also have a private beach to start and end your day. And you will probably see some bald eagles as you look up from your engrossing book. The peaceful solitude overlooking the water is pure bliss. We were a group of four adults and four children and there was plenty of space for all. We could not have been happier with the experience.

This was a great property for a reunion of grad school friends. There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an open loft that had several twin beds in it, but no bathroom on that level. Two of our group took out kayaks, which were a bit worn but functional. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well stocked for a rental.The owner was very responsive. The cleaner had changed the front door code the day we arrived but the owner answered my call and it got straightened out. She was also very helpful when we were trying to watch an NBA finals game and we had trouble getting the right channel. She stuck with me and it turned out well. I recommend this property!

Perfect getaway

Beautiful area and property! Our family of 10 was very comfortable and had plenty to do at the house and around the Schoodic area. A few of our favorites...low tide on the beach, fresh blueberries, talking with local Mainards, hiking in Acadia, seeing the lobstah boats and eating fresh catches from the co-op...it was truly a trip of a lifetime for us. We loved every minute and made some amazing family memories! We will miss the daily beauty of coastal Maine and will be sure to get back again❤️

Thanks, Jesse! To clarify further, the Schoodic side of Acadia is 10 minutes from us. Mount Desert Island, i.e., Bar Harbor, is an hour (44 miles). We love visiting, but we are happy to be on the quieter side of Acadia.

Relaxing unpopulated, beautiful scenery, vacation

The process was easy, and the house was clean, bright and modern inside. Beautiful trees all around us with flowers. The beach, Acadia national Park and water excursions were quite close, and easy to book once we got there. Love the country drives.

UMAINE Graduation

We had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect for a large family. We discovered a new area of Maine that we will visit again. The Schoodic peninsula and Corea are beautiful. Wake up early to see the sunrise. It was great having kayaks available at the property. We even got to MDI and hiked the Beehive trail in Acadia. Ashley was a great host.

Beautiful escape in Maine

We rented this property for our Spring break vacation. Ashley, the host, was very responsive and helpful with questions we had about the property and area. It’s a beautiful house in a secluded location, with a wonderful cove. Even in the off-season, there are grocery stories within a 15 minute drive for essentials, and many wonderful hikes both nearby and within an hour’s drive. Highly recommended.
