We love the location - we loved having a restaurant, ice cream spot, and grocery store/gas station across the street, and being 15 minutes from the beautiful schoodic point. The drive to the bar harbor side is about an hour, but it's an easy and pretty drive. The house itself was clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay again!
Loved the property and its location. Only negatives were there was no lobster pot and walls a little thin so was easy to hear neighbors walking around but not a big deal. Apartment was very cute and clean. We enjoyed eating takeout from the pickled wrinkle on our own deck and also ice cream from me and Ben’s. Would definitely stay again.
Had a great stay! The location is perfect for easy access to food and fuel and an easy ferry ride to Bar Harbor. Thoughtful touches made it very comfortable. Will definitely be back!
Property was clean, check in was easy and our stay was great. It was a nice quiet place close to the Schoodic portion of Acadia. Perfect for our needs!
This place was exactly what we wanted and expected from the pictures. Ice cream and food right across the street and grocery store/ gas station across the other street for convenience. Also close enough to winter harbor town for us and far enough away for private time. Loved the small porch with chairs, so relaxing..
great place to stay
The location of this immaculate space was perfect! Close enough to Acadia NP, but far enough away in a peaceful, quiet little village. The unit as spacious enough that we could move around without tripping over each other. Everything was comfortable and welcoming. Check in could not have been easier and Danielle was wonderful to work with. We really enjoyed our stay!
This was a perfect spot to cook dinners, spend quality time together, play guitar, and eat breakfast on the porch in beautiful Downeast Maine. Living room was spacious enough to set up an air mattress we brought in addition to the couch, so we all slept comfortably.
Perfect location for our short 3-days visiting Acadia National Park and Acadia Puffin Cruise. Property was clean, loved the decor which was appropriate for the area, well equipped, comfortable beds and convenient with a gas station/store, restaurant and ice cream shop all across the street. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck of our unit at night and looking at the stars. Would definitely come back again.
Unit 4 worked out very well for us. The location is great for visiting any part of Schoodic Peninsula, especially the national park, as well as venturing farther. The cabin was well taken care of and very clean. It was a comfortable place (e.g., nice beds, fan, mini-split, smart TV, big couch) and well equipped for cooking. There's a nice deck at the entrance with 4 adirondack chairs; facing backwards is a lovely peaceful meadow and trees -- great breakfast spot. It is near a road (not very busy) and across from a few small businesses (e.g., restaurant, ice cream, post office, mini-market).
Truely enjoyed our stay at your property. It had everything we needed and it was a nice location. Close to a market if we needed anything, restaurants across and down the road, and icecream for a wonderful treat. Schoodic was close and beautiful to explore. Unfortunately, tropical storn Phillippe cut our visit to the area short. We definitely recommend this property.
We drove up to Maine to sightsee and visit the New England states. We had an amazing time even though it was rainy and cloudy. The house we rented was great and the ice cream across the road was amazing. We especially loved the fresh blueberry sundae. We will definitely be back.
My husband, myself, and four boys ranging in age from 4 to 16 stayed here in order to visit Winter Harbor and bar Harbor. The apartment was perfect for what we needed and offered plenty of space for the six of us to sleep. A much better alternative to a hotel! Close to Acadia/Schoodic Point, and plenty of restaurant options. We also appreciated the option of being able to bring our own food for a couple of meals.
Impressed with the space. A little out of the way location wise, but we didn’t feel it with the MC market, me and Bens creamery and Pickled Wrinkle across the street. Description was accurate.
