The property was absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and had gorgeous views of the water. We appreciated the personal touches from the property manager and are looking forward to our stay next year.
We have rented many houses but Casa Aqua is certainly the best! Every amenity was provided and then some. The house was gorgeous as was the landscaping. The kids lived in the huge pool and adults in the hot tub. The nature walk was also fun for all. We loved our stay and Debra made sure we were well taken care of. Much thanks for a wonderful vacation stay!
The host was wonderful and greeted us upon arrival. I e-mailed before going with many questions and she answered immediately. We enjoyed the kayaks and the swings on the dock were great! I wish we could have stayed longer! Just an FYI...pack bug spray as many people in our party were eaten alive by the bugs!
Everything was great! House has an amazing view. Very well appointed. Perfect for a large group, like ours. Debra, the property manager, is very attentive and easy to deal with. Would definitely stay there again.
We loved the property and the privacy of the space. The house was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed (and then some!). The views were spectacular, we loved the private dock and the pool. We spent all of our time outside soaking up the sun!
There were 6 adults, a 7, 11, 13 and 2 year old. There was lots of room for everyone. The outdoor space is fabulous. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, little beach were you launch the kayaks and the dock.Rented a boat and the dock was perfect for it. Did lots of fishing and swimming. it.
We chose this property largely because it advertised a heated pool. Unfortunately, while the pool heat worked for the first few days, it stopped working for the remainder of our stay and was never repaired while we were there. We notified the owner immediately, and although we were told a vendor was contacted, the issue was not resolved during our visit. Since the heated pool was a major factor in why we booked the property, this significantly impacted our stay.In addition, the house itself did not feel very well maintained. The furnishings were outdated and quite worn, and the house was not as clean as we expected upon arrival. The location is good, but overall the experience did not meet our expectations, especially given that a key advertised amenity was unavailable for most of the trip. Future guests should be aware that if something important stops working during their stay, it may not be fixed while they are there.

It was very unfortunate that the pool heater had problems during the guest stay. We addressed the issue right away but the repair was more extensive than anticipated and took longer than a quick fix. Because of this, The guest was refunded some money. We apologize and recognize that this was a big disappointment and hope that the remainder of your stay was filled with happy memories of family time together.
The view from this house is enough but on top of that there's the pool, the hot tub, the kayak entry, the mangroves, the palm trees, the dock, the huge covered porch, and the sunsets. And then there's the spacious house. Add to that a property manager who goes above and beyond, even in the middle of the holidays, and there you have the perfect stay. Spent a week here with family and friends and found it VERY hard to leave on the last day.
Very spacious home, awesome air conditioning, amazing landscaping, very private. For the price, the house was a little outdated, had a lot of rules and normal upkeep on some appliances was not done (refrigerators needed to be defrosted, main kitchen refrigerator ice maker did not work, broken chairs on dock, wifi speaker did not work or even have correct charging cable). These are minor issues that could be taken care of with a little TLC. The property manager, Debra, was extremely helpful.

We appreciate your input! Otherwise, how would we know??
Ice maker in refrigerator was corrected and working fine now- although we do have a separate ice machine at the house that cranks out ice! We do defrost the beverage and wine cooler on a regular basis.
Unfortunately, the chairs on the dock end up in the water quite often due to its location in the wind and we struggle with having them out there or not. We think it is better to have them there to enjoy the sunsets. We have removed the broken chair and have heavier chairs there now.
The Bluetooth speaker is great for the outdoors and unfortunately charger cable keeps disappearing inadvertently with guests.
This is an awesome rental home with constant bookings!! We do our best to keep up with these small issues and we always appreciate guest input so we know what needs attention.
Exceptional and very responsive host. The house had everything we needed for a great vacation for two families. Highlights included the hot tub and kayaks. In the water, we saw jelly fish, small sharks, lots of fish, lobsters and lots of birds. Easy access to Key West, a variety of restaurants and ample outdoor activities. Would definitely stay again!
DOCK was a highlight. Kids enjoyed actually catching and throwing back MANY fish. Rented boat for a few days, thus dock used for that. Access to kayaks was great. Outside wonderful! Many enjoyable hours
As advertised. Beautiful views and wonderful surroundings.
We had 4 couples in the house, plenty of room for all to be together or find a quiet place if you need some down time. The views are beautiful location very quiet and secluded. The house was clean and well cared for and kitchen well stocked with anything we needed. Rent it, you will not regret it.
Deb (Property Manager) was great to work with. She was extremely friendly and very communicative during our stay. This home is amazing. We didn't have a single complaint about the property. It is beautiful, and comfortably slept 10 people inside the main house. The kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary items to cook for 10 people, and the entire house is designed to make it perfect for large groups. The dining room table is absolutely amazing, and I cannot begin to even express how nice it is to sit out by the pool and enjoy a sunset. Amazing experience and I would highly recommend to others.
Casa Aqua was a dream! The home seems very large from the images. While it’s quite spacious, it’s also homey and very comfortable. We had a group of 11. We also rented the guest house. The beds were 100% the most comfortable beds in my 50 years on the planet.
The home is so well appointed. The pool was perfect. We could not have been more pleased. Our son, who was married during our visit was staying on Sugarloaf Key, came over with the bridal party every night to swim. Casa Aqua had everyone’s heart!
Exterior amenities, pool, dock, kayaks were all great. We spent the entire trip either in the pool or on the dock, when we weren’t out on an adventure. Fishing from the dock with the kids was a real highlight.
Before I share issues, let me say overall it was a great trip.
Issues:
Hot tub was over chlorinated, my son developed a rash. Pool was fine where the grand kids were all week.
AC in the tower bedroom rattled all night long. Luckily we had earplugs so we could rest.
Cleaning crew was obviously rushed on a short turnover. Some beds had to be remade, but there were fresh sheets, so no big deal.
Interior was nice, but doesn’t quite live up to the grandeur the photos suggest.
Number of bathrooms for the occupancy was tight.
Master bedroom has two queens and a day bed, so daughter and son n law with three kids stayed there. The master in the tower had no dressers or drawers for clothes and a very small closet. Bathroom and shower were very sub par.
Would probably not return if other options available.

We appreciate your comments so that we can improve our services and home.
We apologize for the noisy AC, and we have since replaced the AC unit in the tower bedroom with a new one that is now cold air and quiet. Yes, it is tight quarters in the tower bedroom (never intended for a king bed!) but the view looking out at the ocean is incredible! and the balcony gives you more room to relax.
We take your review seriously and will do everything we can to make the next guest experience better.
We planned a multi generational girls birthday trip with our family and closest friends, 14 of us. The home was perfect and offered every amenity we needed. The pool and the view was beautiful. The property manager, Debra was amazing! Communicated well and was extremely accomodating! This home exceeded all of our expectations on all levels!
We had a fantastic week at Casa Aqua swimming, snorkeling and fishing off the deck, and enjoying local excursions. The amenities were clean and easy to use. Property manager responded quickly to our request to fix the hot tub thermostat. We loved viewing the sunsets and sunrises off the dock and nighttime fires on the private beach!

I have lived in the Lower Keys for the past 25 years and have been the property manager for this fabulous property for the last 18 years and watched its continual updates and transformations in keeping with the current trends and listening to the guests suggestions for making Casa Aqua a better vacation experience. I thoroughly enjoy checking guests in and seeing the "WOW" on their face.
Why they chose this property
Casa Aqua is located in a remote area of the lower Florida Keys surrounded by the Keys natural environment with nature trails and situated on the open water of the Atlantic Ocean for breathtaking views. There is dockage for your boat and Cutthroat Harbor is somewhat shallow making it the perfect depth for kayaking or paddleboarding and close to the reef for the best snorkeling in the United States. At Mile Marker 22, it is only a short ride to Key West for nightly entertainment and the largest selection of restaurants and bars.
