Beautiful large 2-bedroom condo with family room on the beach - no PASSPORT needed!

This condo was originally a 3 bedroom - it has been converted to a large 2 bedroom featuring 2 living areas, open kitchen, 2 full baths, and an extra-large balcony viewing the beach. This condo does not have the compressor for air on the porch - it’s extra enjoyable just hearing the ocean and not the noise of the machine - all other condos have the air conditioners on their balconies!

Located in ESJ Towers building right next door to the El San Juan Hotel and Casino. Enjoy the ocean breeze from your private balcony. Relax in the formal living room, furnished with a leather couch and lounge chair. Or cozy up in the rec room with a new smart TV. We also just bought a new air unit fall of 2020. Condo fully equipped with all amenities of home including pots, pans, coffee maker, crock pot, blender, toaster, toaster oven, wine and champagne glasses, every day and formal dish ware, and much more.

The remodeled gym located on B-1 level features new weights, machines abs cardio equipment.

Lobby bar is now OPEN - feel free to relax in updated lobby on your computer or with your favorite drink. Full wireless service in lobby (and in condo). The game room is open for the kids - featuring a pool and ping pong table - located in the lobby.

Enjoy the full service coffee shop in the lobby. Get your favorite hot or cold latte and breakfast or lucnch sandwiches or a crossiant and donuts.

Pool and hot tub currently under repair so it will not be available to use until later.

Ask about our unit next door (# 895230) which can be rented as well if you have a party of up to 12! You can have 4 large bedrooms, 4 baths, 3 living areas, 2 balcony’s and 2 chef friendly kitchens if you rent both at the same time! Our 2 condos are next to each other - with a common foyer.

Our second unit (Vrbo # 895230) boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Enjoy the convenience of a washer and dryer in both units. Both condos have central air. Spectacular ocean views are viewable from all rooms with plenty of space on the porch to enjoy the beach views and pina coladas.

Literally one flight up from the beach. The balcony has a view with some trees in between which I actually appreciated. Host was easy to reach and place was perfect for us.

Wonderful! Close to airport and steps from the beach. Fully stocked with everything we needed from beach chairs and a boogie board to a blender for frozen drinks and a crock pot, great balcony and living areas, comfortable beds. Perfect for my (tall) family of 5 (2 adult children and one tween). Staff in the building were all very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants - we didn’t need to rent a car but got Ubers if we wanted to explore. My youngest was at first bummed there wasn’t a pool but we didn’t need it. Lots of seaweed at isla verde west this week but water was clear on east isla verde beach and pinones. Judy was a great host and very responsive. We were there over NYE and loved the holiday atmosphere and decor. This will be our go to place next time!

Spacious condo with gorgeous view!

We absolutely loved our stay at Judy’s condo and can’t wait to go back. The unit is very spacious and has everything you could possibly need. It was clean, updated, and had a gorgeous view from the big balcony. Location was perfect! Judy was fantastic with communication. Thank you!

Judy went out of her way in hospitality, she is truly a fantastic host! We went to PR for the Bad Bunny concert and almost got stuck there because of hurricane Erin. Judy allowed us to remain in her condo the whole day while we were waiting to hear if our flight was going to be canceled without another thought even though we were due to check out that morning. Thanks again so much Judy!

For a large family with a child the Condo was clean and somewhat comfortable but very outdated! Only one outlet in kitchen (behind coffee maker), bedrooms and master bathroom which isn’t practical when you have medical devices or multiple use needs (yes, there were extension plugs BUT not cords to reach around)!! The furniture needs updating! In terms of amenities, the pool was closed (with no other alternative arrangements made to use another facilities pool) and other areas like the gym, and game room were old, dark and half the games didn’t work, so it made it hard to enjoy! Overall it was overpriced for what we received!

Great Puerto Rico Family Vacation

Judy was a dream to work with. When we had questions, she immediately responded and helped us out. The condo was clean. Proximity and view of the beach/ocean is great. We loved hanging out on the balcony overlooking the beach/ocean and listening to the waves. And, we took a couple of excursions - El Yonque and Bioluminescent Bay kayak tour. I highly recommend those. Thank you Judy for a wonderful stay and your attentive service!

One Night Stay

We were in PR for a wedding on the other side of the island. We chose this property to be close to the airport and have some final beach time the day before our departure. We contacted the owner who quickly and easily communicated with us to arrange an early check in to maximize our beach/pool time. Access to both the beach and pool are close and easy. There were rental activities and food options on the beach. The apartment was well furnished and has AC throughout. We were very comfortable and would definitely recommend this property.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful location

We stayed for a week as a family of four and it was a pleasure! The place is large and beautiful with a perfect location right on the beach and private beach access, a parking space in the garage, wonderfully equipped down to things like beach chairs, umbrellas and toys, let alone things like a fully stocked kitchen in terms of kitchen equipment, lots of towels etc. The owner was wonderful and very responsive. There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance and a grocery store a very short drive away. I would 100% stay again if we came back to San Juan. PS at the time we were staying, the pool was closed for repairs but it did not matter to us because the beach is right there, not crowded and great for swimming/water play for the kids.

Comfortable Stay w/ A Great View!

After having a stressful situation with a different property canceling on us last minute, we were so lucky to have found this property! The location is ideal, right on the beach with a magnificent view from the balcony! The condo is supplied with anything you may need, including a full kitchen appliances, beach towels, chairs and beach toys for the kids!! The communication with the owner was great, she was ready to help anytime, which you don't always find with other owners who ignore you the moment you have a concern. Only minor things could be improved as far as upgrading the bedrooms a bit, and improving the water heater - it went from super hot to super cold frequently. But overall we had a great stay and will definitely come back!

Amazing experience and would definitely recommend this place!

The property was beautiful and was exactly as pictured. The place was much bigger than I expected and everything was so convenient! Judy was very responsive when I had a question. The place was fully equipped with the required necessities. The area is more quiet than I expected but nonetheless it was great! The pool was nice and the beach access was even better. The game room and card room was not open and that was a little disappointing. The only downfall is that check in is at 3 pm but you have to be out by 10 am, which is not great when it’s not a full day but I guess this goes for all hotels. Judy did allow us to contact her for an early check, which was convenient. If I come back to Puerto Rico this is the place I would stay but I would probably try to get the other apartment next door as well so that I can bring more friends and family!

Puerto Rico Paradise

Judy was extremely responsive to any questions we had before our trip. Check in instructions and a list of favorite restaurants was sent ahead of time. We arrived late at night, but check in was very easy and Judy touched base the next day to make sure everything was ok. The view from the balcony was beautiful and beach access was just steps away. We were able to use beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and other items which made our trips to the beach very easy. The location was PERFECT! We decided not to rent a car and there were many restaurants and a large grocery within walking distance. We used Uber and Taxis for any farther trips we wanted to take. The property looked just like it did in the listing and we were very pleased with all of the amenities. Thank you Judy for sharing your property with us. Our family of 5 had a wonderful trip celebrating my daughter's high school graduation! Great memories until next time!

Convenient location, large condo, very responsive host

The first thing that I would like to share about my stay is the responsiveness of the owner - Judy Buck. When I first started searching for properties in Puerto Rico, I sent many inquiries to different properties. Half of the other hosts and managers never responded, most took more that a week to answer. Judy sent me an e-mail within an hour of my inquiry and then gave me an excellent explanation of the amenities over the phone. During our stay, we encountered a small problem. I called Judy and the issue was resolved immediately. This did not cause us any inconvenience. The condo was very clean and stocked with everything that we needed. It even has herbs and spices in the kitchen. Overall, it is better and bigger than the description or photos would suggest. It has two bedrooms, two baths, and two living rooms, all of them very large. The lanai is the greatest feature of the condo. For me, having an outdoor space where you can see and hear the ocean was one of the best parts of my stay. It is at the corner of the building and probably has one of the best views among the other units in the ESJ building. Another very convenient feature is the reserved parking spot, which is on the lobby level. This is great especially if you have to carry groceries, beach umbrellas and beach chairs. The ESJ building is in a fairly good location in Isla Verde. It is very close to a large grocery store (5 min walk), many restaurants and other shops. It has easy access to the highway. We traveled a lot around the island and getting in and out of Isla Verde from the ESJ location was very easy. Overall, we had great time in Puerto Rico. This was one of our best vacations to a great extend due to the hospitality of our host. I would definitely recommend this location.

Condo in ESJ Azul -owner, location, views and amenities were great!

First and foremost, the owner is top notch! After contacting several VRBO rentals, Judy was the only one who was very quick in responding to my many questions and very flexible with our arrival/departure dates. The condo itself was just as it shows in the pictures with GREAT views of the beach and palm trees with TONS of room inside. There are games like Monopoly and Scrabble to play, paddle ball, umbrella and 2 chairs for the beach. The kitchen had a crock pot, blender and lots of cooking supplies. My mother in law was wheel chair bound for the trip and this was THE PERFECT place for her. She could get in the bathroom, manage around the apartment and just sit on the balcony and watch the kids play at the beach. As far as ESJ it is a GREAT place and most of people are very welcoming. Enjoy your time at the beach and avoid the pool is my vote. You can rent beach chairs for $4 and umbrellas for $10 a day right there. The kids enjoyed the game room. I never made it to the gym because there's a 4 mile walking "route" that I took (just exit ESJ, go towards Lupi's and take a left- it's safe no worries!!) The concierge was very helpful and friendly. We even splurged for a couple drinks on the beach from the ESJ beach bar and they were affordable and delicious. When it comes to surrounding area you just can't beat the location of ESJ. This is our 2nd time returning to Isla Verde beach area and having the Pueblo supermarket and CVS just a few blocks away makes it so convenient. Our 2 favorite restaurants in walking distance are Metropol and Alambique(coconut rice amazing). La Sirena at the Courtyard Marriott was a lovely place and I'd like to return to try something else because the food/drinks were just ok. If you go to Old San Juan be sure to get drinks at the restaurant on the roof of Milano Hotel or try the restaurant "Raices". And please don't miss "Sandra's Point" empanadas that are right off the beach towards the Playamar condo to the east. She is there a few days a week. Unless you want to go to El Yunque (which currently is only partially open but still worth the drive over there) you really don't need a rental car. Wish I could make this condo my home away from home every single year! I know this is a long review but I know how much I appreciate specific hints that past travelers give in reviews!

Absolute Perfection

The condo is located on Isla Verde Avenue in ESJ Towers/ESJ Azul. I have been staying at ESJ since I was 8 years olds. For years, we would rent rooms through the hotel, then we began renting condos through HomeAway, which is now VRBO, and this is by far the best condo I have rented. If I could give Judy and the property 100 stars I would, but alas, I could only give it 5. There are so many wonderful things to say about Judy and the condo….First off Judy is amazing, answered all of my questions before arrival, and gave tons of helpful tips during our stay. She is easy to communicate with and responds quickly. Judy was able to arrange an early check-in for us and called me the night before our departure to see if I wanted to stay later since she did not have any guests arriving that day. As soon as I walked into the condo, I felt a sense of calm and peace. The open layout is great and the apt just flows. My mom and aunts took the first bedroom which sleeps 4 and they were all comfortable. My mom who is super picky about mattresses said she had never slept so well on vacation. I took the master bedroom with the king-sized bed and pull-out bed for myself and my three children, aged 18, 12, and 2. The room is very spacious and has a full-sized bathroom, which is great to have, especially when you have a toddler who is potty training and wakes up at all times of the night to use the bathroom. Said toddler also decided to wake up extra early during our vacation because he wanted to “go outside, see the sun wake up, and look at the beach.” The balcony was an added bonus to our wonderful stay. We were able to sit there during the wee hours of the morning and night to watch the waves and hear the ocean. The peacefulness created by the ocean view was priceless. Stored on the balcony are beach toys, beach chairs, and coolers we were able to use during our stay provided by Judy. This was perfect because of course, I forgot our toys and we did not have to run out and buy any for our beach days. There is also a full kitchen and dining room perfect for nights you want to just cook and stay in. The apt is located on the 1st floor, which is great since it is the same floor the pool is on. The condo also has a washer and dryer, which was great since I HATE taking dirty clothes back home and it saved me the trip to the basement. There were 8 of us on this trip and I can honestly say all 8 of us were very comfortable and happy with the accommodations.

Isla Verde Beach Condo

This property was perfect for our family (2 adults & 2 teens- 17 yr) and our friends who visited for two nights (1 adult & 2 teens 16 & 14). This condo was amazingly clean, well organized, with any and every amenity you need for an 8 night stay. It was very spacious, and had room for all of us to spread out and sleep comfortably. Having both a separate living room and a den gave the adults & teens some much needed space. The kitchen has every utensil, pot, pan, or gadget needed to cook/bake anything. Full size coffee maker and brand new fridge with ice maker were nice! Look in the pantry before you go to the store, there were some seasonings and coffee filters already there. Washer & Dryer are brand new too. Judy provides tons of extra linens, bath & beach towels!! Beach chairs, umbrella & beach toys are out on the balcony. The balcony faces the beach and has a gorgeous view, and it's the lowest floor in the building which allowed us to take the stairs or the elevator for easy access to the lobby, beach and one covered parking spot. The lobby of the hotel has a coffee shop, restaurant, bar, and game room with ping pong & pool table (our teens loved this!) The beach, condo and surrounding neighborhood is safe and beautiful. There are umbrella & chair rentals, as well as jet ski & parasailing, and food vendors right in front of the condo. The beach is safe and clean, and we felt comfortable letting the teens go out on their own. Lots of restaurants, shops, grocery & CVS within walking distance. This was the perfect location to explore San Juan, Loiza, Loquillo, Rio Grand, El Yunque and take snorkeling & bioluminescent excursions out of Fajardo. The owner, Judy, is very responsive and has thought of everything to make renting her home very enjoyable. Thank you, Judy, we will be back!

great place on beach

This place is in a great location on the beach. Condo is very roomy and my family's favorite place was the balcony!! Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and stores. Judy was great with getting back to me with all my questions. Will definitely stay again!!

Great Place to stay in PR

The apartment is at the great location and well kept. The owner Judy was very helpful with the additional requirements of our stay and was easy to reach. All of my friends loved the place and location. Easy 10 mins drive to Old San Juan. For us group of 8 people, the balcony with patio furniture was the place to spend most of the night relaxing and enjoying the calm sound of the waves. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommend Judy’s place for trip to Puerto Rico.

Great place

We had a wonderful time at this condo! In my family I had 4 kids and 2 adults. Plus we had even more adults staying with us so this condo was plenty of space. Since it was central to the rest of our friends and family, our condo was the gathering spot. We could walk to dinner and other properties. Direct access to the beach was important to me so this was literally in our front yard lol. I have never been closer to the beach than this place. The host was very attentive to us. The kids had plenty of space to run around and we felt very safe the entire time.

I am from Cape May, New Jersey and have been coming to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico for well over 50 years. I have had the privilege to share this home with my parents for many years. My parents wintered here and loved Puerto Rico. They are both deceased but their memory lives on in this special condo in the ESJ Towers. Our condo is one of the most beautiful in the ESJ. My parents prided themselves on making their condo beautiful. Our apartment was a 3 bedroom that was converted to a 2 bedroom. Unlike other units here ours offers a large formal living/dining area and a comfy rec room with a 47' flat screen tv. Our family has enjoyed many years in Puerto Rico and we're sure you will too. The second unit is right next door to other unit - remodeled in Spring of 2016. Features new TV's, new furniture and appliances, new bedding, dishes, pots and pans. Unit boasts 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths with ocean view. Very bright and airy.

Why they chose this property

My parents vacationed on this wonderful island for over 30 years before settling in San Juan in the Isla Verde section of town. They loved the convenience of the night life, restaurants, beach, grocery store and airport. The ESJ Towers are in the heart of everything and just a short drive to Old San Juan and south towards Fajardo and Carolina. Before my parents purchased their condo they vacationed at the ESJ for several years. The were sold on the ESJ because of the many amenities that are offered. They especially liked that the ESJ is gated and has 24 hour security - an added benefit to any property. The staff is exceptional and very accommodating.

What makes this property unique

My family always enjoys what Puerto Rico has to offer and how easy it is to take advantage of while in the ESJ Towers. There is a concierge located right in building! We have taken trips west to see the Taino Indian Ceremonial grounds, visited Rincon, the phosphorescent bay, Ponce, snorkeled and dived in Fajardo, toured Ponce de Leons house in Old San Juan and ate at 5 star restaurants and shopped at our favorite mall 'the Plaza of the Americas'. The new Mall of San Juan will be opening March of 2015 and is conveniently located a short drive away. The Forts in Old San Juan are spectacular and educational! We have taken advantage of all this island has and hope you will as well.
It is so easy to get there from the states. USAir and American have several direct flights from many states in the US. Once you arrive in San Juan you are just 5 minutes from your beach vacation.
Best of all Puerto Rico is 86 degrees most 365 days of the year - unlike some frosty southern states in January and February and only 1 more hour by plane!
