The view is great! Pretty sure the cleaning company guts everything someone leaves for the next guess, like seasonings, condiments, etc because they ask you to donate unopened food items, and the fridge was completely empty! We all complained about the beds being hard and lumpy so not good sleep was had! Very quiet and nice area, walking distance to a lot of places!

As to condiments, etc., unfortunately, per the hospitality health and safety standards, we are not to have condiments, flour, sugar, and other food items for guest consumption. The management company email with the info about the reservation that is sent to each guest states that this is a self catering condo but that there will be a start up supply of soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. I am sorry that the beds were too firm for your liking. Some people like soft mattresses, others firm. We think ours are in between.

There was no beach view at all. The pool you view is not your pool it is the pool belonging next door. There was no insulation from noise on the stairs, outside, in the garage, etc. The beds were horrible, the worst I have ever had in all my years staying in any VRBO. The unit had almost zero stock in anything you needed. 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 bath towel per person for a week! ZERO beach/pool towels unless you paid to rent them, zero dish soap at all.. called for dish soap no one ever called us back. We paid double for this place than our last and it was ocean front. We feel duped. Do not recommend, will not stay again. Very disappointed considering the cost.

Our management team even completes a photo-verified inspection before every check-in to ensure everything is perfect. We’re always a phone call away to help during a stay, though we didn't receive any reach-outs regarding noise or supplies this time. That said, we take comfort seriously! Lovely, spacious condo. Great view of Intercoastal Waterway from balcony. Enjoyed morning coffee watching dolphins, pelicans, etc. Nice heated pool. Gulf of Mexico is right across the street. Covered parking. Kitchen stocked to prepare meals.Lots of great restaurants. Steps have rails on both sides so shouldn't be a problem for most people. Pet friendly, so able to bring 2 small dogs. All in all, great place.

Perfect location and view!

The property was as described with the exception of the kitchen, which had limited basics (spoons, knives). I left a few kitchen purchases for the next guests. The location was perfect with a very short walk to the beach. The master bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The owner was very responsive and answered all my questions. We had a lovely time!

Beautiful Property and Location...Lots of Stairs

Probably my own fault, but I wasn't aware that there were so many stairs that we had to climb multiple times a day. A couple of us have knee issues, so it was a little bit of a challenge, but the condo and area made it all worthwhile. Perfect time of year too. Not a lot of people in the building, so we had the pool to ourselves the whole time.

We really love the space in this condo! the balcony and views were awesome. We got to see Manatees from the balcony. Only negative is that we had to carry our beach wagon up all the stairs. We did no there was no elevator on property, but that would be the only negative thing or if there was a place to be able to store it in the garage would have been awesome! We still loved the place!

This was the second time I have stayed at Captains Cove, the first was not with you. Just a suggestion, there are very nice glass tables in the condo. It would have been nice to have place mats for the table to protect it while your eating and a small windex to clean it with. Only a suggestion or inform guest so they may bring those items. Thank you it was a lovely visit!

We loved the condo and the location. It was so quiet but still not far from everything. Size was great. Our only complaint was the size of the TVs. They really aren’t that expensive anymore and the rooms are big enough for much larger tvs. Especially when you have to stay in because it is raining or your in for the night. One other thing was the master bed. It was a little hard for my taste but the next person could love it. We would definitely stay again though. Had the pool mostly to ourselves our entire stay. Again, great place. Can’t wait to go back.

Indian Shores Captains Cove

We were very satisfied with the condo that we rented. Bathrooms could use some updating… But otherwise everything was great. Games, books, beach, chairs, beach umbrella, rolling cooler…all were a plus. We had some problems with the refrigerator. The property manager- Plumlee-was very good in addressing our concerns. We received negative feedback per notes on carport and door of the condo ie. parking, storage of beach chair by car “rules” and sand on steps (not aware of s pickets in the garage) by someone at the condo. We would return to this well equipped condo and work with Plumlee.

Very clean, easy to communicate with owner.

Condo was nice and clean, comforters were cleaned and in sealed plastic, towels nice and folded on beds. There are about 30 steps to get to condo, I knew this, but with A Fib thought i was going to die. I tore a tendon in ankle, miserable the last few days. We stayed 4 nt longer than planned due to hurricane in panhandle, lois was very kind and easy to get in touch with. pool is not very large but when you have it to yourself who cares! The furniture in living area is in dire need of replacement, couch and chair very uncomfortable, had cushions stacked up trying to get a comfy place to sit. If we were old, no way could we have gotten up off the couch. I put a bean bag in the chair to make it almost comfy. my cousin owns a consignment shop on Park, I left a card by phone just in case. We did enjoy the condo, very spacious, decent kitchen, tv in bedrooms. Just to many steps for me.

Owner is great, rental company not so much

The family room and kitchen remodel created a pleasant and comfortable environment. The sliding glass door opens the entire end wall and has a beautiful view of the Intercoastal Waterway. We barely used the guest room as our teen preferred to sleep on the sofa in the master with us, but it was also nice. The main bedroom is a little dated, and the associated bathroom and the guest bathroom are too, but they are both fine and met our needs. It's clear the remodel of the kitchen and living room was expensive, so maybe an update is planned for the future for these rooms. All the issues we encountered were with the rental agency that distributes the keys, checks-in guests, and provides info about the area. The owner addressed it with the company during our stay, so everything should be smooth for those who check in after us. None of the cleanliness and check-in ratings were a reflection of her. She's helpful, communicative, and great to work with. One thing to note is that the main bedroom is right inside the unit's front door. It's convenient because you don't have far to carry your luggage, but you can also hear outside noise while in bed (e.g., rain, activity by other guests/residents staying near the unit), so very light sleepers might struggle with it as I did. I recommend earplugs or a travel sound machine to counter it.
