About this property

King bed 3 miles to downtown

This unique three story house was one of the first houses in this area. The house is a "leaning log pole" house. This is what neighbors have
hile long term renters are on the middle floor. The bottom floor has been converted into a living area with full amenities (no oven) three miles from the downtown area. The view from any room or deck is absolutely beautiful. This pet friendly suite (2 pets are welcome) includes a private laundry facility for long term stays (make arrangements with host). There are two parking areas. One is in front of the main house (use stairs to access the suite) the other is on a gravel driveway which we do not recommend when it's raining and/or snow. However it is your choice to park at either areas. The deck/fire pit is nestled around mature pine trees with views of Willow Lake and Mt Humphrey. Trails, hiking & many more adventures awaits you.
My husband (Joe) and I (Linda) enjoy having guests. We want to make sure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. There is a king bed with plenty of pillows, sheets and comforts. The kitchenette has 2 electric burners, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, coffee/tea bar, utensils, spices, cookware and dishes but no oven or dishwasher. Bathroom has shampoo/conditioner, blow dryer, body soap and plenty of towels. The laundry room wall is adjacent to the bedroom (can be heard in the bedroom). Laundry hours are 9am-9pm however if guests need quiet time before or after the posted hours please let me know so I can make sure the others are aware of the change. In addition, the gas bbq grill and wood fire pit is open to use.
Up to 2 pets are welcome. Must be house broken. Any accidents will cost the traveler an additional $75 or more.
Come and enjoy the refreshing cool air, good food, no stress and tons of fun, exciting activities rain, snow or shine.

About the host

Hosted by Linda Myers

Host profile image
I (Linda) was born in Thailand and have traveled the world, educated with two Master degrees and love to meet new people and their pets. We have a senior Chihuahua and a young Hangin' Tree Cowdog. They can be heard sometimes but many guest won't see them.
I love living in Prescott and have resided here since 2011. I wish I had moved here much sooner. The weather, people and activities meet my family's needs.
I enjoy gardening and driving my classic VW around town. Plus, hanging out with my son and husband whenever I can.

Why they chose this property

This house is a unique structure because it is built on the side of a hill with log poles and over time the poles are leaning to one side. The house was nick-named "Log pole house" by the neighbors when they got established. The builders of the Log pole house would have open house once a year and invite anyone interested to tour their house. In addition, some neighbors claim that they have seen ghost/spirits in this home.

What makes this property unique

Private driveway with great views and deck/entrance. Suite is attached to main house. Craftsman touches (personally crafted by my husband, Joe) throughout the suite.
