This property is an annexe to a thatched cottage and sleeps seven people.

Hill Farm Cottage is attached to a 400 year old thatched property. With four bedrooms it sleeps seven people comfortably. There is also a ground floor bathroom, a farmhouse kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. Outside there is a private garden, off road parking for three cars and access to the owners' family-owned riding stables. With shops, pubs and the beach easily accessible, Hill Farm Cottage is a great base for a family holiday.

Amenities: Electric convector heaters with gas boiler for hot water and gas fire. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, CD, radio, WiFi, selection of books, DVDs and games. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent (please bring own beach towels) Cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Private garden with far-reaching views, furniture and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 1.2 miles, pub 1 mile, beach 10 mins walk. Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead around the property due to horses in neighbouring riding stables.

Region: The Isle of Wight, with its beaches, unspoiled scenery, rich heritage and over 500 miles of award-winning public footpaths is a walker's paradise, or if sailing is your thing, the renowned annual Cowes Week is not to be missed.

Town: The village of Freshwater and Freshwater Bay make the perfect base for a great holiday. The main village is full of eclectic little shops, with a choice of lovely restaurants and some good hotels. Freshwater Bay is a picturesque location that boasts scenic downs, white chalk cliffs and gorgeous beaches – no wonder visitors flock there all year round! Freshwater Bay is the ideal destination for lovers of the outdoors including bird watchers, walkers and cyclists, with many wonderful walking trails over the Tennyson and Afton Downs.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderfully peaceful location. Every room was comfortable, very clean, and well furnished. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and was kind when asked for adjustments. We were allowed to go and visit the horses in the adjoining stables and enjoyed doing so most days. The cottage contained everything we needed and more. I will definitely stay here again if at all possible. Spectacular!

Beautiful stay and super friendly owners!

I was shocked reading another review, and wondered if they had reviewed the wrong place! The owners went above and beyond for us here, even getting me in on a private horseriding lesson because I became poorly and missed the one I had booked. The cottage is old, and so of course will have some low beams.. Not a bother to me at 5ft 6, but remember to duck if your quite tall lol It was a wonderful spacious cottage, really clean and the bedding was the best I’ve slept in! So comfortable! The area is beautiful and we had a lovely large enclosed garden, so would be perfect for dogs or children to keep them away from roads. The staff at the riding school were brilliant and the owners and their son and daughter bent over backwards to accommodate us throughout the week. I’m not sure other reviewers understand that if you stay in an old cottage, little things will never be perfect, but we have lived in an old cottage before, and it was wonderful and quirky! We did have good hot water and a decent pressure for being on a hill. We highly recommend this place and we hope to return one day. Thank you for an amazing family holiday!
