Welcome to Beach Magic, where classic Kiwi bach charm meets unbeatable lakefront views! Sitting right on the water`s edge, this property has everything your extended family needs for an unforgettable lakeside holiday. With plenty of space, a fantastic layout, and room for the boat, it is the ultimate base for making lasting memories.

This modern Kiwi bach offers a simple, relaxed setup with ample room for everyone. The layout is perfect for multi-generational families or two groups holidaying together, featuring a main house and a separate annexed wing.

The property has Four bedrooms offering various bedding configurations and Three bathrooms.
• Bedroom 1: 1 Single Bed (in main house)
• Bedroom 2: 1 Queen Bed (in main house)
• Bedroom 3: 1 Queen Bed (detached from main house)
• Bedroom 4: 1 Single Bed, 2 Single Bunk Sets, 1 Double Bed (detached from main house)

The spacious indoor dining area features a large table, ensuring the whole family can sit down and enjoy meals together. If a breeze comes off the lake, you can retreat to the large, sheltered outdoor patio at the rear of the house to relax with a good book.

Ample off-street parking: Plenty of space on the shaded section to securely park both cars and boats.
Unbeatable location: Absolute beachfront right on the lake.
Fisherman`s paradise: The renowned Waitahanui River is just nearby if you are keen to cast a line.
Close to town: Taupo town centre is an easy 10km drive away.

Important Guest Information
Linen Options: In the true Kiwi bach tradition, you are welcome to bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and tea towels. Alternatively, you can use our convenient hire service for $17.25 per person—just select this option when booking or let us know in the comments.
Family Bookings Only: This is a family home located in a quiet residential area. It is strictly not suitable for large groups of adults or events.
Guest Surcharge: Base rates cover up to 6 guests. An additional guest surcharge applies for more than 6 people.
As a classic, loved family bach, some personal belongings may be present in the home.
When making a booking request please include information on the age range of the guests intending to stay and your plans for while you are in Taupo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 5 Mile Bay The view from the house and access to the lake is great and the house is really well set up with a great kitchen and it had everything we needed We had great communication from the property managers which we appreciated when we had a problem Altogether a great bach

We have stayed quite a few times at this bach over the last 10 years. It is in a marvellous location. It has a beautiful atmosphere and since we were last there (precovid) it has a new kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommend this for families who like to bike and swim.

We loved the house and especially the location. My only complaint was that due to ongoing window repairs some of the windows would not stay wide open and we had some very hot weather. I guess that will be fixed in due course.

Lovely kiwi bach in a great spot

Fantastic family holiday right on the lakefront. Great bunk room for the kids. So nice to watch the sun set over the mountains after a relaxing day. Hope to be back again soon.

Great spot for a family catch up

We loved our stay at Waitahanui. The bunk room was perfect for the kids and there was a lot of room for all the adults. We found the house very clean and cosy, with everything we needed. The lake front setting was gorgeous. Already planning our next trip back.
